Below is another link (from the Sydney Morning Herald) supporting the Telegraphs articvle. It states a quote from the only terrorist survivor of the Beslan atrocity. In the article the terrorist says that the attack was organised by Maskhadov and Basayev so as to forment a ethnic/religious war in the caucuses. Remember Mashhadov and Basayev when running the temporary independent/autonomous chechnyan government in the late 1990s jointly implemented Sharia law in Chechnya...and Basayev went on to invade russian Dagestan. I presume they are back again to get their southern russian caliphate.

P.S. it seemed at first that Maskhadov would implement a more moderate and democratic repuplic in Chechnya but the warlords like Basayev were so powerful that he basically jettisoned a moderate more secular republic for a islamist one. Whether Maskhadov was ever a moderate secular democrat or not he couldn't control Basayev and his like. Note also the majority of Chechnyans didn't want Sharia law but Basayev and the other warlords threatened Maskhadov to make sure it was implemented. I suppose that it seems possible that Maskhadov has decided if your can't beat a islamic theofascist you should join them.

Knowing that poor benighted Luton has a large Muslim population and seeing that the police are refusing to say who received the bombs I wonder if there's an Islamic connection. Whether it's Muslims sending the bombs or freedom-fighting Brits, the authorities aren't going to tell us.
Is this a retaliation for the Islamic massacre of Russian schoolchildren ? If it is the Muslims shouldn't be surprised - after all they're always saying an attack against one Muslim is an attack against all. I think everyone has to make one of the following 3 choices eventually,
1) Become a muslim and obey the sharia.
2) Know about islam, the danger of the dogma and fight back.
3) Continue to be ignorant and allow oneself to be slaugthered.
I think most of the posters in www.talkleft.com belong to (1) while some of them are (3). Most of us here are (2).
