Chechen rebels are offering a $20 million reward for the capture of Russian President Vladimir Putin.A Chechen separatist web site posted the offer of a bounty Thursday, a day after Russia offered $10 million for information on the whereabouts of two Chechen separatist leaders, Aslan Maskhadov and Shamil Basayev, whom Russian authorities accuse of masterminding the Beslan school tragedy.
Muslims, whether Chechen or not, it makes no difference, are convinced that allah is on their side and final victory is theirs. Even if they are killed and do not see the final victory from earth, they are absolutely convinced that they will go to paradise and will see the final victory from there. It is this that gives them the confidence to issue a warrant like this on Putin.
How does one counter this completly crazy mindset. Well, in much the same way one humours a mentally unstable individual. We play to this theme. They have to be eliminated and then buried with materials they regard as unclean.

how can they afford to pay out 20 Million! Don't tell me - they're being backed by the Saudis or they're lying about being poor. So Putin is worth

The Chechens are poor and oppressed in the same manner and for the same reasons as are the Palestinians: for Muslim advantage in promoting Islam and to ressurect the Caliphate.

I wonder where the Chechnyan rebels got the 20 million from...bet it was from drugs, prostitution/sex slaves, saudi money that originally came from the west etc. P.s. why the hell don't the rebels give a stuff about their own people and use the money and resources they have for something productive instead of just using it all the blow up children and kill/kidnap democratic heads of state. Oh... Of course it comes as no surprise that the Chechens can double their reward offer. All they have to do is select a "charity" in Saudi (from a list of probably thousands), make a call, and wait for the check. It's that easy.
Islamic "freedom fighters" who believe in killing children to further their causes deserve nothing better than death. However, we must not make the mistake of assuming that enemies of our enemies are necessarily our friends.
Our values which set us above Islamic fundamentalists and their followers are our ability to reason, think for ourselves, judge people on their actions, and to accept the ideals of free speech and personal opinion. Putin does not subscribe to Western Ideologies and never has. His government is a Dictatorship, and the hardships that many Russians suffer under his rule is appalling. The fact that Russian innocents are now subject to Islamo Fascism as much as the West is does not make his Government any more morally credible. If Putin felt that his policies were fair and just, then why has there been a complete media blackout in that province for several years? Hardly the actions of a Government that believes in free speech and Democracy.
Islamic Extremists in Chechnya believe that such atrocities as those commited in Beslan are justifiable. At the same time, Russian troops rape and pillage innocents in Chechnya who have no more to do with terrorism than the rest of us. There is little to choose between the two extremes here: both sides should be condemned by the West, as neither makes any attempt to live their lives by any sort of moristic code that we take for granted here. This was also the opinion put forward by the Telegraph last Sunday, which is the paper who had the courage to enlist Will Cummins to write about the threat of Islamic Fundamentalism in Britain.
None of us want to live our lives under an Islamic State, and rightly so, but the lot of non muslims (of which there are many) and moderate muslims in Chechnya is little better under the hand of Putin.
Someone should declare a fatwa against the Muslim formerly known as Cat Stevens for all the saccharine crap he wrote and recorded before he dedicated his life to Islam.
