Frenchman shot dead in Saudi Arabia

No Westerners are safe any longer in Saudi Arabia. From AP, with thanks to JP Mackie:

A Frenchman was shot dead in the Saudi port city of Jiddah early Sunday.

The Saudi Interior Ministry, in a terse statement by an unnamed spokesman, said a French resident of the kingdom was shot dead in the Zahra neighbourhood of the city Sunday morning.

A Saudi security official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the victim worked in the French Consulate. He was shot while driving in the Al-Tarikh roundabout area of Jiddah.

The Interior Ministry statement, quoted by the official Saudi Press Agency, said authorities were following up the incident. The report did not name the victim, nor provide details about the shooting.

The motive behind the attack was not known.

Yeah, surrre.

Score another one for the bad guys.So the French think they are going to get a pass because they are sitting this one out.Wrong! I think the French are going to get their come- uppence before long. They have a very high percentage ratio of Muslims to their population and that has to make them just a little nervous, and they are making some laws affecting Muslims that that aren't going over very well.

Sorry for the multiple post people,I was getting an "error in transmition" notice.

A Frenchman was shot dead BECAUSE ALL INFIDELS ARE A TARGET FOR JIHADISTS! Doesn't matter what your Country's Appeasement Policy is - They'll kill you just the same. Better Wake Up France.

Surely it is a mistake. Why would a muslim want to kill one of my fellow french man ?

The way Mr chirac has licked the a..se hole of all fanatical muslims such as ARAFAT,KADDAFI,HAMAS and Hezbollah leaders, one would think we would be in total security.

It is a myth that french people are all against AMERICA and PRO_ARABS, sadly unlike the American press and the british press our media are under the control of the govenmemt.....

Indeed, journalists must obey the line of thought of Chirac if they wish to be invited to the ELYSEE palace and go on one of his world tour.

I am a french guy, who supports American troops,British troops and their allies and I am thankful that they have the COURAGE to stand up against the evil of ISLAM.

My country will suffer the Islamist ideology in a short time, by then, it will be too late...

I hope Chirac will not be so arrogant then to ask America and Britain for help.

Chirac is the most corrupt leader in EUROPE, as I am sure you all know.

Kristian.

I see from the post by Kristian Hovborg that the spirit of Charles Martel yet lives. If only the rest of his countrymen could be reminded of the courage of Martel and his men who, by their deeds at the Battle of Tours (732 A.D.) saved the heart of Europe from the scourge of jihad. Who among his descendants is worthy of hoisting and defending his banner in the present generation? Who in the present generation has the courage to stand and fight upon the very soil of France itself that is soaked with the blood of her own heros, and that has been shed for over one thousand years in exchange for the life and liberty endowed upon them today?

You conservatives sure do have a way of showing your "compassion."

Soon, you'll all be able to laugh, shuck and jive when the jihadis murder two more Frenchmen, the journalists threatened with beheading. I'd like to see the lot of you (say a dozen or so) in a hand-to-hand fight with one French Foreign Legionaire. There'd only be one many standing in under 10 minutes, the "cheese-eating, surrender monkey Frog."

Here's an invitation to all of you, including you, Mr. Spencer.

Direct me to the proof that in the last year, ANY mainstream right-wing journalist, talk-show host, etc. has complained more about Saudi Arabia than France, and I'll send a money order for $25 to your favorite charity. (Double that if you pick JW as your charity.) Please remember that our ostensible "ally" Saudi Arabia is our "unofficial" enemy in every way: idealogical, moral, spiritual, legislative, governmental, etc. Whereas the only crime of the French is apparently daring to actually use facts to determine their foreign policy.

(Letting Arafat's 'ho and Ayatollah Khomeini live in Paris in "exile" and other dhimmitude is beside the point. They really only became the object of scorn (with the "BOYCOTT FRANCE" bumper stickers and emails, etc.) after they disagreed with Dub and Dick about Iraq.)

I first started thinking about a challenge like this when the email hoax was flying around alleging EX-Marine Olliver North (R-Beirut) testified before the senate before a "sneering" Al Sore that Osama Bin Laden was the most dangerous man in the world. I recalled that Ollie had a talk show and even a journal column, and wondered how much he talked about Bin Laden in the 10 years between his alleged Senate testimony and the 9-11 attacks, because all I could recall reading and hearing said by him was complaints about P.E.T.A., "Slick Willie", the Monica Lewinsky matter, Jesse Jackson, etc. Furthermore, Ollie went on to serve in the US House, and I wondered how much he talked about Bin Laden on the house floor.

So come on, ye web surfers... let's see some proof about the conservatives being more likely to tell the truth about Islam in general, and Saudi Arabia in particular.

Catch up with me in a future "comments" section. I don't read every one, but I usually read at least one every day.
