From DPA via Expatica with thanks to Ali Dashti:
Germans hold negative views about Islam and a big majority believe there is a "clash of civilizations" following the attack on a school on southern Russia earlier this month, a poll said.
The survey was taken after the Russian school massacre.
When asked what they think of in association with the word "Islam" some 93 percent of Germans said "oppression of women", 83 percent said "terror", 82 percent said "fanatics and radicals", 70 percent said "dangerous", 66 per cent said "backward", 45 percent said "hospitality" and 6 percent said both "tolerance" and "nice". A survey before the terrorist attack on the Russian school in Beslan showed 44 percent of Germans believed there was a clash of civilizations between Islam and the Christian world. But asked the same question after the Beslan attack, some 62 percent said there is now a clash of civilizations.
That's encouraging.
That's encouraging.
Well at least the Germans arent afraid to speak their minds....can you imagibe how shocked and drop jawed the PC leftists would be when they read the same article?
Where is the "Cultural Police"? I'm sure they would be calling for their arrest.
Fancy those racist, bigoted Germans calling a spade a spade......
Are they beginning to turn? Not soon enough as Muslim-friendly policies are already government policy.
Unfortunately I can already hear the cry 'nazis!' if there is a concerted movement to deal with islamics in Germany.
The German reaction to Beslan seems to be part of an emerging pattern. While back in the States last summer, I met a liberal who decided all Muslims were enemies after reading of some Muslim clerics in Albany, New York, who got arrested when they tried to purchase some grenade launchers from undercover FBI agents.
Until they DO something about it they're still dhimmi to me.
I love waking up to news like this.
The only problem is that in Europe, for whatever reason they're incapable of separating the anti-Islamic sentiment from nationalism, anti-semitism, and racism in general. In politically moderate people's eyes, not to mention the leftist political elites who don't have to live near muslim communities, the racial element to otherwise completely legitimate grievances against muslims discredits the whole thing.
Let's not forget that while the official policies of Eurabian bureaucrats and politicians declare the multi-cultural project, one-way tolerance, unlimited immigration and bending over backwards to accommodate Mahometan sensitivities to be official policy, the man and woman in the street may still have very different views. Even in France! But until now any vocal distrust of the new arrivals has been branded as intolerance, racism, fascism or worse.
Now that the Islamic mask is slipping more and more, it becomes increasingly difficult for the PC brigades to silence the skeptics.
Sooner or later the tactic of denying the existence of our enemies and demonizing those who tell the truth about Islam will no longer work.
That's when the real backlash will begin.
The present generation finds it difficult to imagine that an ideological clash on a scale that our ancestors routinely experienced with Islam is happening to us. When the sheep's clothing of "religion" is stripped away from Islam, we see standing before us one of the most monstrous political, economic, social and cultural ideologies to have ever afflicted mankind.
With over one billion adherents who will no doubt defend it when the non-Muslim population comes to the same conclusion that our ancestors did about what course of action is necessary to contain the scourge of jihad, the magnitude of the inevitable conflagration is greater than any that we can point to in the world's history, including WWI and WWII.
Like I keep saying, these are once in a millenium events unfolding before our very own eyes. I sincerely wish it wasn't so.
Germans have negative view of Islam?
Oh my, I wonder what prompted that view??
I will be in Germany in a few weeks to visit friends. I think I will be asking a lot of questions while I am there.
They're not the only ones.! Have a very Native view of Islam myself. Remembering German History and fairly recent History, Muslims should be decamping from The Fatherland in haste. Hitler certainly used them in WW11 but he had extermination plans for them later...they're not part of the Aryan race any more than Jews ...
the magnitude of the inevitable conflagration is greater than any that we can point to in the world's history, including WWI and WWII.
My fear for a long time. The inevtiable clash will leave millions if not hundreds of millions, dead or homeless. It is for this reason that I feel that the multi-cultural project is halted.
Actually, Morgane, there are lots of Aryan Muslims: Bosniaks, Albanians, Kurds, Persians, Afghans, Panjabis, Sindhis, Bangladeshis, etc. all speak Aryan or Indo-European languages. Also, if the Finns and Magyars could be classed as "Aryan" despite their FInno-Ugric languages, the Turks could probably be classed so, too.
I think today's Germany, though, is getting sceptical and negative towards Islam because of Muslim behavior; not race or ethnicity.
