Truth-telling and shoring-up of the Big Lie in Chicago. From the Daily Herald, with thanks to Twostellas:
The Republican challenger to three-term Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky said Monday he's distrusted Islam "for years" and supports the federal government planting human monitors in mosques to track the activity of those practicing the religion there.Kurt Eckhardt's comments brought swift criticism from Schakowsky and Muslim groups, who described his remarks as inaccurate and dangerous.
"This feeds the cycle of misunderstanding, feeds the cycle of prejudice, feeds the cycle of hate crimes," said Yaser Tabbara, executive director of the Chicago chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
Tabbara's organization, North America's largest Islamic civil rights group, is working to promote the mainstream Muslim voice, which does not condone violence.
No mention, of course, of the fact that "Tabbara's organization" was so busy promoting the mainstream Muslim voice that it failed to notice that three of its officials were involved in terrorist-related activities: Bassem Khafagi, Ismail Royer, and Ghassan Elashi.
"We are unequivocally opposed to terrorism," he said. "Our religion does not condone it in any way."
Great. What are you doing to inform Osama bin Laden, Abu Hamza, Shamil Basayev, and other people who say things like this of this much-overlooked fact about your misunderstood religion?
In an interview with the Daily Herald editorial board, Eckhardt, of Chicago, called the threat of fundamentalist Islamic expansion "profound" and said secular democracies around the world need to become proactive and in some cases pre-emptive against the spread of the groups worldwide."No other issue matters if we're dead," Eckhardt said....
Eckhardt said terrorist acts were not "aberrational behavior" by a few extreme Muslims but possibly part of a broader culture.
"Where is the voice of reason in the Islamic community?" Eckhardt said. "There is none, except in nations we control."
Schakowsky, an Evanston Democrat, said terrorism or calls to violence were "not at all" inherent in Islam.
"Going in with the suspicion that every mosque is somehow a breeding ground for terrorism defies all the information," she said.
Does it really? Sheikh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani, a Sufi Muslim, testified before a State Department Open Forum in 1999 that 80% of American mosques were under the control of extremists. That claim has never been investigated. What "information" does Schakowsky that makes it certain that it's not true?
Kareem Irfan, chair of the Lombard-based Council of Islamic Organizations, noted that 35,000 Muslims congregated peacefully at an Islamic Society of North America convention in Rosemont over Labor Day weekend. Irfan said Islam has 1.25 billion peaceful believers worldwide."They have nothing to do with violence and terror," he said.
I am certain that many, if not most, do not. But to make such a blanket assertion about all 1.25 billion Muslims worldwide is to fly in the face of reality. Unless, I suppose, Irfan is assuming that the Muslims who are waging jihad today in Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Kashmir, Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, Chechnya, Bosnia, Nigeria and elsewhere are all really CIA and Mossad operatives, trying to smear Islam.
You should all get "Jihad In America". It is several years old but still very relevent. It was filmed in meeting halls and mosques in America. The call for the death of the west is very clearly heard out of the mouths of the speakers, no taqiyya here. I don't know how Steven Emerson filmed this, but it is a real eye opener. I also heard that Steven Emerson has to live
in hiding because of this film. I got mine from Victor Mordecai at

It does not matter what Kurt Eckhardt's positions are on anything else. He deserves to be supported -- with money, with votes, with everything -- up to the hilt. And his opponent, Jan Schakowsky, who instead of agreeing with him utters pious phrases that are palpable nonsense, deserves -- whatever other positions she has -- to be defeated. And that is the attitude, alas, one must now take: the attitude toward Islam has to trump everything else.
Folks, this isn't about the Democrat congresswoman but about the Republican challenger.
Remember, as far as grassroots US politics and the MainStream Media (MSM) are concerned, Mr. Eckhardt's rectitude is the underdog and deserves every ounce of our sympathy and support.
Its heartening to know that such honesty finds an outlet in the MSM at all, despite biased coverage.
Like Bob Dylan once said "He who's last today will tomorrow be first...The times they're a changin'.."
I just love all these self-appointed experts in what Islam is or isn't. Is being a barking seal one of the qualifications to hold office?
It's not one of his more well-known songs for sure, but Dylan also penned a great song back in the early 80s that was more than a little out of keeping with his more usual anti-war sentiments. "Neighbourhood Bully", a cut on his "Infidels" (how very appropos of these times) dates back to the days when he became disillusioned with the "born again Christian" movement. NB was written defence of Israel, which at the time, had just taken out Saddam's new French built/financed nuclear capability (under cher Jacques [reigning hero of the anti-Coalition forces] Chiraq's auspices.
This feeds the cycle of misunderstanding, feeds the cycle of prejudice, feeds the cycle of hate crimes," said Yaser Tabbara, executive director of the Chicago chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
This cycle does get about. I thought we had just the once cycle that was pedalling all that murder in Israel. But Lo, the cycle has made its murderous appearance in America.
Just as a curiosity, did Muslims invent the cycle?
1.2 billion Mulims may not have direct association with terrorism. The fact remains though that virtually all of them support the Jihad as mandated by the koran. This support takes the form of donations to the mosque and other so called Muslim charities, some of the monies finding their way to the violent Jihad. This is what allows the moderate Muslim to state that they have not "knowingly funded" terrorist groups. It is this statement by Yusuf Islam that damns him. There was no reason to state those two incriminating words, "knowingly funded", unless he was not aware of the reality. These are weasel words, the perfect lawyer advised words, that indicate his guilt conscience.
So I take it that Islam has nothing to do with Muslims, after all,if it's not the collective
behaviour of Muslims that define Islam, then there are only "Islamists" and non-Islamists.
The term "Muslim" must have been faricated to attach itself to Allah through Islam.
Lets keep things in perspective, the Muslim whiners in America are only a fraction of the
0.0008 percent of Muslim in America.
Do the math yourself,1.2 billion on Earth,5 million(or less) in America= 5mil divided by 1.2 bil, 0.0008 .
Surely a very minute number of Muslims in America wouldn't have the right to stereotype
the majority outside the country.
Spaeking of Cats Stevens aka Mr.Islam, below is a link to a Canadian paper that make a connection to Hamas fund raising in Canada,he's even on video mocking Jews as followers of a false religion.
WOW,sure glad Yusaf isn't bitter or harbouring
unforgiveness towards non-Muslims,then we would be in a real mess with ticking off more people that are easily provoked to violence and murder.

You either support the concept of jihad against the Infidel and dhimmitude or you don't. It's that simple. Muslims that refuse to repudiate jihad obviously support it, thus the candidate's comments, although not p.c., are true. The time for political correctness is past. Our survival no longer permit handling anyone with kid gloves or pussy-footing around issues. The terrorist are counting on the fact that Americans would rather be dead than give up the appearance of multicultural tolerance and a complete set of inviolable civil liberties.
Putting off hard decisions will make them more deadly in the future as past administrations found out after the bombings of the Cole, the World Trade Center, and various embassies. They are responsible for our present situation, emboldening and strengthening our enemies belief that we will eventually give in. That's the sad truth.
I just did a search on Jan Schakowsky because there was something about her name bugging me.
If you go to Google, type in her name + Muslims, you will find a whole list of things she's done to support the various Muslim organizations here.
It starts on the second page that comes up,
the main 1 I found had to do with her opposing Bush's anti-immigration policies.
www.amcchicago.or/Schakowsky.doc
With representitives like her and Kucinich, we don't have to go far to find the problem with why we can't get anything done here.
It's probably useful to have Kurt's website URL here: http://www.kurtforcongress.com/
What caught my eye in that article was the "Islam has 1.25 billion peaceful believers worldwide".
The usual number I hear bruited about for Islam is 1.5 billion. So does that mean there are .25 billion (or 25 million) non-peaceful Muslims? That would be about 17%, sounds about right to me.
The number of Muslims is exaggerated for effect. Simply add up the total population of all 57 Muslim members of the O.I.C., country by country. Then deduct the several million Christians in Pakistan, the Christians and Hindus in Bangladesh, the Christians and Hindus and Buddhists and Confucians in Indonesia, and so on. Then add to that figure the estimated number of Muslims outside of Dar al-Islam. And the figure you arrive at will not exceed 1 billion. Furthermore, the assumption that everyone who is counted as a Muslim really is a Believer is unfounded; since the penalty for apostasy is death, no one wishes to announce a lapsed faith. How many people in Iran are now being counted as Muslims who would dearly love to have nothing to do with Islam?
The total population of Muslims in the world, even ascribing all sorts of people to the category of Msulim, cannot exceed 15% of the world's population. That means that 85% is not, which -- at least for now -- puts things in perspective. But nothing should be none to change those odds in Islam's favor, and everything should be done to appeal to those who may be born into Islam but having their doubts.
Islam stunts the mental growth. Would you, if you could avoid, want your child to grow up a Muslim, given what you now know about this belief-system? Of course not. This does not amount to an endorsement of other faiths. All dogmatisms may be said to limit mental freedom. The problem with Islam is that it is such a complete and immutable system, that it limits mental freedom to the point of intellectual paralysis. One can still perform routine tasks --technology rather than science, mechanical crafts rather than art. But mental endeavor as that is understood in the West?
This issue can be settled with one visit to the CAIR website, while they claim up to 7 million muslims live in America, their online petition against Terrorism in "the name of Islam" has only yielded just under 700,000 signee's.
You do the math, even if some haven't signed it yet it would be fair to low-ball the figure and conclude that 80 percent of American Muslims didn't agree with the petition.
Looks like Hooper's been called on his bluff, all those times in the media claiming to speak for the Muslim community and screaming racism and islamophobia from bigots that condemn a minority of Muslims for the action of the majority.
Well Mr.Hooper, your right this time, the majority of Muslims have made it clear where they stand on slaughtering infidels.
So if your audiance of 700,000 Muslim Americans
out of 7 Million don't mind too much, please stop forcing your perception of reality and Islam on the other 6.3 Million.
Just think of yourselves as the 10 percent of the good Lawyers that are suffering from the bad image created by the 90 percent of bloodsucking chiselor's that feel no guilt for their actions.
You'll sleep better Mr.Hooper.
NO CAIR - KNOW FREEDOM
OH P-U-L-E-E-E-Z-Z-Z!!!!
"This feeds the cycle of misunderstanding, feeds the cycle of prejudice, feeds the cycle of hate crimes," said Yaser Tabbara, executive director of the Chicago chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations."
I would rephrase this statement and offer . ..
ISLAM feeds the cycle of misunderstanding, feeds the cycle of prejudice, feeds the cycle of hate crimes, incites jihad, beheadings, kidnappings, suicide-bombings, ignorance . . .
need I go on? So where's the left's critism of this?
Re: "It's probably useful to have Kurt's website URL here: http://www.kurtforcongress.com/"
You couldn't be any more correct!
What was good for the goose . . .
fringe ideologue, Cynthia McKinney,
http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=14172
long associated with militant Islamic groups, has also taken donations from individuals suspected of terrorist ties. . .
is good for the gander!
Kurt Eckhardt should receive support from every American that values free speech and detests the PC dhimmitude.
The likes of Jan Schakowsky and Cynthia McKinney are names to remember . Any opportunity given, link the negative ties to both these candidates on any/every blog.
I wish I could vote for the guy. Alas, my registration's in another state.

What about the cycle of beheadings?
I may not be rich but I will send his campaign $10.00 for support. I am not in his state so I can not vote for him. We need many more people like him and I will help every little bit that I can. Hope more people feel the same as well.
