BESLAN, Russia — The bodies of more than 100 people were found Friday in the gymnasium of a school in southern Russia at the end of a three-day hostage siege, according to the Interfax news agency.Hundreds more were wounded during the siege and subsequent raid by Russian soldiers.
Commandos stormed the Beslan school and battled terrorists holding hundreds of hostages as crying children — some naked and covered in blood — fled through explosions and gunfire.
Earlier, The Associated Press reported that at least seven people were killed and 400 wounded; Interfax put the number of dead in the dozens.
But a British ITN News reporter said he saw about 100 bodies in the school gymnasium where the hostages were being held. The roof over the gym caved in during the violence.
As many as 1,500 hostages, most of them women and children, had been held in the standoff since terrorists seized the building Wednesday.

I read 9 Arabs as well. Muslims pick on women and children because they can't fight. Ask them. Oh ya, they're dead.
i really dont see why you cant understand why they took a school. they did it because its shocking and the reason they chose such a shocking target is easy if you look at history. in the mid 90's the chechens took a hospital hostage which resulted in the russian govt. negotiating a pullout of russian troops from chechnya. because of this precedent the chechens believed that if they repeated such a shocking feat that they could get the same result now. they first tried this in nordost hostage operation and it failed because the russians where able to outsmart them and neutralize the hostage takers (and alot of hostages as well) so the chechens(if this is chechens and not ingushtians) tried this tactic again and whats more shocking then a hospital or a crowd of theater goers..... CHILDREN i personally think that while these people where brutal and evil they probably had no intention of killing the children but after things went to hell today well we have this horrible events. now onto the matter about arabs with the hostage takers. now in this current moment of fog of war alot of things are being reported and they are going back and forth on the facts. and even if these arab fighters are present it does not equal that they are alqaeda. its almost if now the term alqaeda gets branded on any crazy islamic fighter no matter if they are actually affiliated with alqaeda or not. a one final note please remember alot of this news is coming from russian officials and intelligence services who have been netoriously wrong with incorrect statements. please wait a few days until accurate and verifable facts have finally come to light before making such rash statements.
You know, even when they were communists, I have always loved the Russian people. My heart goes out to them, over this tragedy. Hopefully they will crack down on their leaders, and get on board with the US, to defeat these islamo-asshats. Stop following the lead of Germany and France, and rise to the occasion.
The reports of ARABS among the jihadi assailants are increasing. MSNBC quotes its sources in Beslan as describing them as "ten Arab mercenaries".
President Putin says that the presence of the Arabs in the group underscores his assertion that the war in Chechnya is not a war of independence alone, but is as the Chechen jihadis themselve say it is, a war to establish a base of operations to conquer the entire region by jihad.
Since the jihadis in Chechnya tell us that they are waging a jihad to conquer first the Caucasus and then the world, let's start believing them. President Putin does.
There will be a final soluion. But what is the question? Either it is the "islamic question," or it is the "infidel question."

In one report, Fox referred to the Arabs as Arab "mercenaries." Now, mercenaries are soldiers that fight for money--soldiesr for hire. Anybody think that these Arabs were fighting to earn money?
As to whether the Islamic terrorists are al qaeda or not, whether they are Wahhabis or not, whether they belong to the Istanbul brigades or whatever, what difference does that make? They are all Islamic terrorists. They are the enemy--our enemy as well as the enemy of every non-believer in Islam.
Worrying about to what faction the Islamic terrorists belong only becomes important if one must know where and on whom to retaliate.
This concern can be eliminated when we finally decide that when any Islamic terrorism occurs--anywhere in the Western world--a major mosque is reduced to rubble. Preferably on a Friday. The final mosques to be eliminated are in Medina and Mecca.

the world is learning: unfortunately and sadly the hard way.
israel has tried to make peace with the moslems only to have its citizens end up in pieces.
israel's wall is the only logical step available
to prevent suicide attacks.
the western governments owe its citizens
protection from islam and moslems.
practically this means outlawing islam, shutting down mosques and islamic centers, banning the koran and shipping all moslems in the west to moslem countries: simply keeping moslems and non-moslems separate.
i am not optimistic that this will happen, because as a bible believer it appears that islam has a significant role to play in end time events before Jesus Christ returns.
islam is a demonic movement: hence a spiritual struggle which unfortunately for us currently living in the west: has arrived on
our shores with the full force of jihad.
the west is not fighting this war correctly. it is a frustrating spectacle to behold.
even if we build walls, the west is arming the moslem governments with the technology and weaponry: ultimately nuclear weapons that can soar over the highest wall.
honestly there just doesn't seem to be an adequate human solution.
but from the human perspective, if enough blood is spilt by moslems then hopefully the collective anger of the west will force their governments to separate the moslems.
this appears to be the only 'humane' solution.
