Everything was fine and quiet in the morning of September 1st at school N1 in the North Ossetian town of Beslan in southern Russia. There was a meeting in front of the school building - teachers were congratulating children, the latter were giggling and laughing.A military GAZ-66 truck and a police car drove up to the building thirty minutes after the start of the meeting. Terrorists seized the police car and the officer in it on their way to the school, the Izvestia reports. About 15 armed people, with several women among them, jumped out of the truck.
Rosa Dudiyeva, a grandmother of a first-grade girl named Milana, told the Kommersant: "When the meeting was over, the daughter went to her class room with other children, and I stayed outside to talk to one of the teachers. A military truck appeared in front of the school building. People wearing camouflage and masks jumped out of the truck - I could see only their eyes and beards. They opened fire, everyone started running about. Some people, including myself, managed to hide behind a fence. We tried to peep out to see what was happening, but were scared to approach the building. Several gunmen stayed outside, near the entrance. A Canadian Islamic group ( www.canadianislamiccongress.org)reports on all media outlets that use "Islamophobic" labels during news reporting. They even have a "Islamophobe of the year" award and it includes
anybody that reports Muslim terrorists as Muslim terrorists. CAIR Canada made threats to the Government about the Hijab issue and this psycological terrorism is just part of CAIR's agenda to threaten the Government to allow Shariah Law to become Legal in Canada.
I'm always amazed how it's never the Christians protesting these petty issues,I have yet to see proof from the Quran that the Hijab is part of Islam and not a cultural headpiece.
The Hijab is just another "In your face" mocking of western values and the attempt of Muslims to
impose Islam by proxy on non-Muslims.

I read in an extract from the New York Times that a journalist mananged to contact one of these islamo-fascist terrorists. This terrorist said they were part of the "Second Group of the Salakhin Riadus Shakhidi" which is beleived to be headed by Shamil Basayev. This is the guy who when he was Chechnyan Pri-minister invaded Russian Dagestan..and who took hostage everyone in that hospital years ago...and whose relatives lead the hostage taking of all those people in the Moscow russian theatre disaster. Basayev is not just interested in "liberating chechnya" he wants to invade the neighbouring areas of russia and turn it into a islamist state. What disgusts me is that the media does the whole world a great disservice and tends to ignore this or greatly downplay it. I never read/hear the word islamist anywhere in newspapers or on the tv when these Chechnyan green-shrits go on jihad.
The media and politicians are afraid that they will be seen as intolerant or judgemental which is the biggest sin in the western world now. It's too bad because being judgemental is how we survive! I'm not talking about prejudice...I'm talking about seeing what is happening in the middel east and making a judgement that these people are dangerous.
As with the U.S., Russia needs to shi+ or get off the pot.

Well see, here's how it is. The Russians have a big problem here. The fact that they are delaying and entering into anything like a negotiation with these camelophiles is highly detrimental to our planet earth cause. They need to put a contingent in place and do the very best job they can of ending this thing quickly. It will be a horrible thing if children die, but if they must, their deaths will likely prevent more in the future.
I know that this is not PC, but it is the truth. If it were my children, I would be very sad for their bad fortune, but would have to recognize the stupidity of anything but a direct and final approach, and would have to pray that my child(ren) survived.
As each day passes, judgement will be rendered on these evil doer's harming children. They will be dealt with severely. Blowing themselves into little pieces will not forego there punishment.
If they negotiate with these asshats, then it will be open season on every non muslim school around the globe. It's horrible that these children are captive. But it's probably best to set an example of how this will not be tolerated. Sometimes, to scare your enemy, you have to be a bit crazier than they are. Which gives me an idea...
Who was the Russian who round up family members of terrorists, cut them into little bits, boxed up the bits, and sent the boxes in, as a form of negotiating? It had to be a Russian. Someone refresh my memory! Maybe medievel Russian history? I have read it somewhere, before.
I'm afraid this isn't going to end happily, as in the hostages being released. The terrorists aren't even allowing food and water to be brought in, for crying out loud.

Ruby~ yes the Russians did. Unfortunately is was a sort of stasis- none of the old grudges got settled, due to the rigid communist control of every aspect of daily life (another form of which is being pushed by the Left in the US). It might have been better if the islamic populations in the Soviet Union had been given some play. Then the Russians could have come in and hung them with their own rope, so to speak.
Things would be much quieter in those countries now.
