Today i heard a radion interview with a Russian relations expert, thankfully the interview (which lasted about a good 20 minutes) was conducted by arguably the number 1 talk back host in Australia, so a large audience got the interview.
The professor was asked what do these "terrorists in Chechnya want" do they want a seperate state or what" the professor simply stated that " State hood is only an excuse, the terrorists want to impose "Sharia" law on the region, it has nothing to do with politics, that is just an excuse"
To which the radio host asked again, and got the same reply....the radio host then said..." so listeners this has nothing to do with Chechnya's muslims demand for a seperate state, but all to do with international terrorism".....Good, but not good enough I though.
Back to the above update; I'd like to point out that this kind of behavior and attitude is the islamic way, and it's exactly the reason why it has isolated itself from the rest of humanity. Well, one of the topics they started discussing was - HOW THE MEDIA NEEDS TO START DESCRIBING THESE INCIDENTS AS WHAT THEY ARE - ISLAMIC TERRORISM!!!!!! I couldn't believe it, my jaw hit the floor. "I've tried everything to shag them away, and they keep coming back," Jones said of the squirrels after the incident.
Conservation officer Jerry Shepherd with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources said it is not squirrel season, and that hunting game out of season is a misdemeanor punishable by a maximum 60 days in jail and up to a $500 fine. Authorities are not pressing charges.
Jones vowed to keep shooting at squirrels and using firecrackers -- as she has done several times before -- to discourage them from getting into her bird feeder. She also shoots groundhogs and other animals she considers a nuisance.

New Iraq Chief: Evidence Linking Saddam to 9/11 Is 'Genuine' News Max
The man tapped to head Iraq's new interim government has vouched for the authenticity of evidence that links Saddam Hussein to the 9/11 attacks.
Though the notion that Iraq played a role in 9/11 is considered heresy in U.S. intelligence circles, newly appointed Iraq Prime Minister Ayad Allawi said in December that a document purported to be from Saddam's intelligence service that places lead 9/11 hijacker Mohamed Atta in Baghdad two months before the attacks was indeed "genuine."
"We are uncovering evidence all the time of Saddam's involvement with al-Qaeda," Allawi told the London Telegraph at the time. "But this is the most compelling piece of evidence that we have found so far. It shows that not only did Saddam have contacts with al-Qaeda, he had contact with those responsible for the September 11 attacks."
As reported by the Telegraph at the time, the document - a handwritten memo dated July 1, 2001 - provides a short resume of a three-day "work program" Atta had undertaken at Abu Nidal's terrorist training camp in Baghdad.
Nidal was executed by Saddam's secret police in August 2002 in what some suspect was a bid to keep him from telling what he knew about 9/11.

UN council condemns attacks in Russia

The U.N. Security Council condemned "in the strongest terms" late on Wednesday gunmen holding hundreds of children and adults captive in a school gym in turbulent southern Russia. At a special meeting requested by Moscow, the 15-member council demanded "the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages of the terrorist attack" in North Ossetia, a province near unruly Chechnya.
The assault, which according to some accounts included women trained as suicide bombers, bore the signs of a Chechen rebel operation. It was the latest in a recent spate of deadly attacks in Russia which have killed more than 100. But it remained unclear who the attackers were. Chechen separatist leaders denied any links. Officials said contacts had been opened, but gave no details.
The council's statement, read by its current president, Spanish Ambassador Juan Antonio Yanez-Barnuevo, urged all nations to cooperate with Russian authorities in efforts to bring to justice "the perpetrators, organizers and sponsors of these terrorist acts."
"The Security Council condemns in the strongest terms the heinous act involving the taking of hostages at a secondary school in the town of Beslan, the Russian Federation, on Sept. 1, 2004, as well as other terrorist attacks committed recently against innocent civilians in Moscow and on two Russian airliners in which many lives were claimed and people injured," the statement said.
On Tuesday, a female suicide bomber blew herself up in central Moscow, killing 10 people and injuring 51. And on Aug. 24, two passenger planes were downed, apparently by bombs, killing 90 people.
"Any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of their motivation, whenever and by whomsoever committed," the council said. The request for a special Security Council meeting appeared unusual given Moscow's dogged insistence for years that its war in Chechnya was an internal problem Russia would solve alone.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was quoted by Tass news agency as saying in Moscow that the wave of attacks "shows that the process of stabilization in Chechnya is not to the liking of international terrorists." U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan, in his own statement, also condemned "in the strongest terms" the seizure of the school. Annan "calls for the immediate release of the children, their parents and teachers," spokeswoman Marie Okabe said.
The hostage-taking was condemned by UNICEF, the U.N. Children's Fund. "Children must never be used for political purposes, and schools must never be degraded to places of violence," said Carol Bellamy, the agency's director. "If we don't respect the sanctity of childhood, then we have nothing," Bellamy said in a statement issued during a visit to China.

However, I find it personally reprehensible that you would use this situation to falsely accuse the United States of backing these Godless animals. How dare you suggest that the United States has anything to do with these vermin in Beslan. In your article, you make excellent points about these ruthless thugs, but to try and associate the U.S. with these people is shameful. For three years now we in the U.S. have been fighting the likes of terrorism, and trying to tell others that they to are at risk of this great scourge. We fight it on the ground in Afghanistan and Iraq, we fight it with the help of our allies, both abroad and at home.We have been trying since September 11, 2001 to tell the world that these beasts have to be stopped by any means necessary. We, in the U.S., will fight terror anywhere it tries to infringe on freedom. If the Russian government needs our help we will gladly give it, and I would hope that if (and when) the U.S. needs Russian assistance, Russia would do the same. It's time to stop living in the "cold war" past, there is a different "storm on the horizon" and if we as nations, peoples and yes, allies don't prepare take action we will ALL surely drowned.
