Muslim leaders in Britain are shocked, shocked, by pro-9/11 stickers and leaflets distributed by the notorious jihadist group Al-Muhajiroun. From the Birmingham Post, :
Stickers "promoting terrorism" by praising Osama bin Laden and the September 11 hijackers have been put up in Birmingham streets....Dr Mohammed Naseem, chairman of Birmingham Central Mosque, was quick in his condemnation of the stickers and leaflets. He said: "When you have friends like this who needs enemies? Whatever they recommend is not permitted in Islam.
"They boast that they can never be touched and the Government is protecting them.
"I would ask people to ignore these posters and stickers and what they are saying, which is un-Islamic.
"They have a small following of misguided young people who have little knowledge of Islam."
Dr Naseem added: "This kind of polarisation between Muslims and non-Muslims is un-Islamic and is not how the Prophet behaved."
The funny thing, Dr. Naseem, is that although they have "little knowledge of Islam," they themselves believe that they are following "pure Islam." And, says the BBC in that linked article from last March, "moderate Muslims leaders have remained largely silent and have yet to provide a credible alternative."
Well, it looks as if they haven't found a credible alternative because they haven't asked you, Dr. Naseem. Please, sir, tell us what the radical Muslims don't know about Islam that will make them peaceful, law-abiding citizens of Britain and other Western societies, and you will be a hero the world over. I eagerly look forward to hearing from you.

When jihadi excrement like this (for e.g. Al-Mujahiroun's pro-osama antics in the UK, the Beslan massacre in Russia and of course 9-11 in the US) comes into the open, the royal stink raised is so overpowering that even by the most battle hardened leftist loon cannot ignore it any more.
Jihadis exposing themselves even more brazenly is to be welcomes by all right-thinking people. Only then can the west mobilize against this impending threat.

Amazing isn't it that century after century, violent jihad keeps appearing. How, then, can not the actions of those that espouse "pure Islam" be Islamic? Of course they are Islamic and are called for in the Koran and are reflected in the life and times of the Prophet that ordered and carried out the same vile acts during his life. It appears that Dr. Naseem either doesn't know much about Muslim law and history, or he is engaged in taqiyya and kitman with the aim of assuaging and mitigating our anger.
The older islamic immigrant community was raised in a culture of repression and authoritarianism. They know that in their homeland 'the nail that sticks out gets hammered down'. I'd bet that most of them don't want anything to do with fanatical jihadists, yet their deeply ingrained upbringing doesn't make it easy for them to respond immediately to the outrages of islamic fascism. They're probably scared and worried.
The real danger lies with the younger generation of muslims raised in the West. They're looking for their identity and many are highly susceptible to feeling as outsiders. In their minds they can glorify an ideal Islamic Caliphate and condemn the supposed excesses of the secular West that they see everywhere. Their new religion gives them a sense of superiority versus the decadent West, which is a tonic to their sense of wounded pride as outsiders. But the recent outrage at Beslan is having its effect in the islamic world. There is a growing movement that may well lead to an Islamic Reformation.
The issue of divided loyalties is going to become a real problem as islamic terrorism increases. This is not a game. The muslim community in the West must consciously choose to actively work against terrorists. That means working with the government, informing on all radicals, testifying in court against them, demonstrating for their homeland in the West and against islamic fascism. Anything less will ultimately lead to internment camps, expulsion and progroms against the islamic community in the West.
One more 9-11 and the hammer will drop. It will be black or white, for us or against us, clear as day, no ambiguity, and there will be consequences from one's choice of allegiance. We will not tolerate any treasonous vipers in our homeland.

The reality is, that some Muslims are getting worried that Islam is getting a bad name. Hence all this attempt at salvage.

No, of course not -- the Prophet did not permit "polarisation" between Muslim and non-Muslim. He went on 78 campaigns of aggressive warfare, and slaughtered the Infidel, took and divvied up the booty -- the women and whatever wealth there was -- and in many cases watched with approval as hundreds of prisoners were murdered in cold blood, as with the Bani Qurayza. Does "Dr." Naseem think he can indefinitely keep the text of the Qur'an, and the main recensions of the hadith, and the sira (the biography of Muhammad) away from Infidels, or presented only in the sanitized versions of the Michael Sells of this world, forever? No. And despite all the money that went into buying up academic departments, though it has given jobs to a good many Calibans in place of the Prosperos who ought, by right, to be holding those tenured positions, something inspiring has occurred.
And that something is what might be called guerrilla education. People are not relying on the likes of John Esposito, for they can easily smell a rat. They are going back, not only to the primary sources, but to the extensive literature by important, and some cases great, scholars of Islam whose work has been deliberately suppressed, or ignored, by the likes of Edward Said (not a Muslim himself, nor at all familiar with the literature of scholarship on Islam, he was an intellectual thug who, for a while, was successful not only in providing jobs for those who parroted his "post-colonial" line of literary or "cultural" studies -- my, how many people are deeply grateful that Said made their otherwise impossible academic careers possible indeed), but in preventing students of Islam and the Middle East from even noticing the 800 pound gorilla in the room -- that is, Islam itself, its tenets, its views of Infidels, its 1350-year treatment of Infidels.
You know that obnoxious bumpersticker -- Question Authority. Well, here we all are, questioning the authority of the transparent propagandists and apologists, at St. Antony's, at the Univesity of Exeter, at the two Georgetown Centers (the "Center for Contemporary Arab Studies" and that other one, the "Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding" or whatever it is called -- between Michael Hudson and John Esposito, and all the other hangers-on, there is not much difference in the message, really). Yes, by all means, in this case the bought-and-paid-for authority of people who simply have not even bothered to study the real Orientalists, and whose idea of Islam is all picturebook local color (Esposito loves those blue mosques, the Iznik tiles, the Kufic calligraphy -- and so do innocent students). They may, some of them, be professors. But they don't know much, and that is becoming clearer every day. And they are certainly no guide to policy -- merely academic extensions, with native command of English, of the Arab League's propaganda department. Spare us, please.

Birmingham should be called "Dhimmingham".It's fast becoming an islamic metropolis, already minorities in the city outnumber whites, and muslims are the largest minority group in the UK.
Large parts of the city are no-mans land for white people (what have we let our country come to when we let muslims create their own territories , or is that terror-tories???!!!).
