Not only is this exercise patently offensive to the many people who have sensibly opted out of the moral and intellectual cesspools that are public schools today. This is also part of the continuing story of government officials' steadfast refusal to acknowledge the real source of what is by far the largest and most lethal terrorist threat today (they don't dare have an exercise against a threat from some Islamic jihad group, although that is actually a much more likely scenario than the one they came up with), and (since officials tend to equate homeschooling with Christian fundamentalism, although the two don't necessarily go together at all) of the American intelligentsia's persistent tendency to regard Christian fundamentalism as more dangerous than Islamic radicalism, despite the fact that there is no global Christian fundamentalist network of violent groups, and Christian preachers don't tell their followers to make war and kill unbelievers. From WND, with thanks to Raymond:
In a federally funded exercise to prepare emergency responders for a terrorist attack, a Michigan county concocted a scenario in which public-school children were threated by a fictitious radical group that believes everyone should be homeschooled. The made-up group was called Wackos Against Schools and Education.
The exercise in Muskegon, Mich., yesterday simulated a situation in which a bomb on board a bus full of children knocks the vehicle on its side and fills the passenger compartment with smoke.
UPDATE: JS points out that the WND story above doesn't have the full quote from the government materials. He sends me to Michelle Malkin at TownHall, who does:
"The exercise will simulate an attack by a fictitious radical group called Wackos Against Schools and Education who believe everyone should be homeschooled. Under the scenario, a bomb is placed on the bus and is detonated while the bus is traveling on Durham, causing the bus to land on its side and fill with smoke."
Sounds like the Michigan county board members that concocted this scenario are the Whackos.
Also, the people in the Federal government who funded the exercise useing tax dollars, some of which must have been paid by those who home-school their kids, should be included.
Why were home-school-christian types used as the perpetrators in this imaginary scenario, rather than islamists, such as those that actually murdered the children in the Beslan school?
BTW, did you know that some of those children murdered in Beslan were beheaded? Oh, but then lets not be insensitve to the islamists by point that out.
Again, the West is in a PC stupor and are brain washing themselves into thinking that the islamic disneyland that they wish to be in, won't end up being the slaughter house at the end of the prim-rose-path; as it was in Beslan!
The left always likes to call the Christian right, "hate mongers".
Actions speak louder than words!
The scenario should have been, A church group in a bus traveling either to a Billy Graham crusade or coming home from one, and they get attacked by liberal anti home school, school officials. ( Because they are losing money with those children not showing up to school ) Now that is a scenario that is a little more plausible.
The liberals hate the fact that some Christians are home schooled and are not indoctrinated into there atheistic ideals. Islam and the American left are getting harder tell apart!
Liberals want to brainwash Christians into their agnostic hell hole.
There seems to be this great hatred for Christians from some liberals.
Why? What have we done to deserve this? Answer nothing.
The left and Islam have the same goal, remove Christians.
What a great place this will be after the rapture. Then and only then will the left and Islam see their goal come to pass. To bad it will only last 7years. And everyone left here will pay a very high price! The liberals will destroy this Country, one way or another. They will not stop until America is a land of criminals, where no one is safe.
Here is a look at liberal America
Guns = only criminals can own them
Free speech = only for gays, liberals and Moslems, anyone else and it’s a hate crime.
Owning a Bible = hate crime
Being a Republican = jail time
wishing you were dead = priceless
Whom can we write to to complain about this sort of thing?
