"Tawhid and Jihad" -- "Monotheism and War By Every Possible Means to Spread Islam" -- is a name worth remembering. The next time one is told by a smiling imam, or a non-Muslim apologist either of either he cunning or the ignorant or the cunningly-ignorant or ignorantly-cunning kind (Michael Sells, John Esposito, Yvonne Haddad, Carl Ernst -- fill up the space with half the members of the Middle East Studies Association here please), that "we all share a common monotheism" kindly remind yourself, if not him, that it is not "Tawhid" alone, but "Tawhid and Jihad," as this title suggests, that defines Islam. "Tawhid and Jihad" -- and if you can't take the "Jihad" out of Islam, and you can't, well that is just about all one needs to know. One may assume, incidentally, that the Christians of Iraq are opposed, violently and by all other means, not only because of "Jihad," but because those who believe in the Trinity are, in most Muslim eyes, considered guilty of "shirk," the crime of attaching others to God and permitting them some divinity. Not good, not real monotheism. All those who believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ, to the strictest interpreters of "shirk," must be considered polytheists -- and you know what happens to polytheists.

In this weeks issue of The Universe we have an article regarding Cardinal Kasper's weak kneed response to terrorists who use "ideological motives as a cover" he has no idea of the of the involvement ordinary Muslims have in promoting Jihad, and that Taqqiyya (lying ) is allowed in Islam to confuse people concerned by Jihad or to gain a military advantage. We must not allow people like Rowan Williams to cloud our perception of the evil in our midst, Jihad is "Blood Sacrifice" and those who practice it are predatory pagans.

"Religions must distance themselves from terrorists, says Cardinal Kasper

(Zenit.org) - Since religious motives are used as an "ideological cover" for terrorism, it is imperative that religions themselves "unmask" the terrorists, says a Vatican official.

Cardinal Walter Kasper, president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, made that point when addressing an audience of religious representatives and cultural figures from around the world.

In the context of the "Men and Religions" meeting, organized earlier this week by the Community of Sant'Egidio, the cardinal addressed the participants on the topic "To Disarm Terror: A Role for Believers."

Among the other speakers were Ahmad Al Tayyib, rector of Al-Azhar University in Egypt, and Rabbi David Rosen of the American Jewish Committee.

"Terrorism is the new scourge of humanity and the new challenge posed to the whole of civilization," Cardinal Kasper said when alerting the audience about the problem and its link to religion.

It is especially the monotheist religions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam - that are suspected "of intolerance and, as a result, of being… prone to violence because of their exclusive faith - in fact or so understood - in the one God," he said. "

Do you remember Abu Hamza al Masri; he recruited muslims for jihad in Aden , chechnya, etc one of his sermons laid ot the options of muslims , he said " Those of you who can go to war perform jihad, and those of you who can't still enjoin jihad by suppying money, and support, those of you who cannot give money can support the call to jihad by praising those who can take part , and also by talking the issues down and minimising the harm done."

In another sermon he told muslims "if you can kill a white man, do so , dont use a bullet ; cut him in half".

In another sermon he told muslims " The Koran states that no muslim will be held to account for the death of a Christian".

These statements were applauded by many Muslims on his website as were many other hateful sayings these things are despicable including the encouragement by muslim women to RAPE women captured in Jihad situations (because Islam commends this practice "What your right hand possesses" and Muhammed also raped captive women), these things should have been repudiated immediately by the Muslims worldwide, it was not consequently the Umma is guilty of a terrible social sin .

1868 Sin is a personal act. Moreover, we have a responsibility for the sins committed by others when we cooperate in them:

- by participating directly and voluntarily in them;

- by ordering, advising, praising, or approving them;

- by not disclosing or not hindering them when we have an obligation to do so;

- by protecting evil-doers.

1869 Thus sin makes men accomplices of one another and causes concupiscence, violence, and injustice to reign among them. Sins give rise to social situations and institutions that are contrary to the divine goodness. "Structures of sin" are the expression and effect of personal sins. They lead their victims to do evil in their turn. In an analogous sense, they constitute a "social sin."144

On the same basis Christians are encouraged to SPEAK OUT in denunciation of these backward hate filled ideas and while Islam as a basic religion enjoining prayer is not a sinful act, the ideology which places Allah as the God of the Muslims, and who speaks vengeance against the enemies of Islam including Jews and Christians must be addessed as a PAGAN and exclusive idolatory. This is proved by the acts of the Khobar Massacre where the perpetrators lauded themselves for the "offerings" they had made in killing westerners. This has also been a factor in all of the killings made upon people since and before 9/11.

Muhammed was reported to have been affected by the pre Islamic traditions of the pagan Meccans of killing their unwanted children, yet Qarawadi's edicts have made human offerings of child bombers and their victims, at a sweep his edict that "non combatant Jewish women are legitimate targets for Jihad as they are a military society" has by implication linked all Muslims into making human sacrifice (Shahada)of themselves and their victims(pleasing to Allah).

It must also be realized that Jihad(which is incumbent on ALL MUSLIMS has by definition to be a murderously violent act which totally subjugates lesser communities. It cannot be trusted when a Muslim say's that people who are jihadist are not 'Muslims', they ARE, it is simply that the Jihadist who kills has to be protected by the Jihadist who talks Islam out of the discussion; Goebells did the same thing in repeatedly saying "Its not true /Its true, lets wait and see".

Jihad has now disclosed itself as 'Blood Sacrifice' and as such those who follow it are following pagan ideology, this is a far cry from the 'PURE MONOTHEISTIC' claims of Islam, these claims have been taken on board by the Catholic Church because it wants to present Islam as an Abrahamaic religion. it has also recently asked the question 'Is Islam an Abramahaic religion?' in a homily at Easter by Pope John Paul.

I beleive this is not the case at all but that Islam has always used the 'One God' approach to Christianity inferring an element of unity. Muhammed learnt most of what he knew of Christianity from the Jews who were being attacked by Christian forces in pagan Arabia of the 7th century, Jewish scholars state that Arabia would have become completely Jewish at that time had the Christian Jewish tension been removed.

As partners in a treaty with Muhammad they were a bulwark of his forces in repelling pagan Meccan tribes and he learnt that Ishmael was a descendant of Abraham making the pagan Meccans related to the Jews and Abraham, Muhammed wanted to unite the Meccan tribes and he needed the Jews to accept him as the Jewish 'Messiah' but they laughed at him openly, he had already changed the content of the Jewish Bible so that Abraham; who actually offered Isaac to God on Mt Moriah (which is Calvary) was portrayed as offering Ishmael on the black stone of the Kaaba at Mecca. For this refusal to accept Muhammed he claimed the Jews had broken their treaty and he had the whole clan of Jews beheaded 700 men and boys, the women were shared out amongst his followers.

When Muhammed (570 - 632) was alive, he claimed to receive the revelation of the Koran from Allah. This means that at that time, the Bible which was in existence could not have been corrupted because the Koran states that God's word cannot be corrupted. The question I have for the Muslims is "When and where was the Bible corrupted, since the Koran says that the Torah, the Psalms, and the Gospel are from Allah and Allah's words cannot be changed?" it was changed by the translation of the Syro-Aramaic language which Muhammad knew into Arabic, which he did not know.

We are instructed by Pope John Paul to consider IF we are the children of Abraham and we must accept that we do not know any God named “Allah” neither the Jews or the Christians have ever came across such a God, he is a stranger to us, alien, and he is not the same God we worship as the Father of our lord Jesus Christ, this God Our Father has shown himself to us through the revelation of Christ, and when he spared the Ninivites, “”Should I not pity Ninevah that great city , which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who do not know their right hand from their left”. A good place for a historian of Islam to start would be in 629 ad, or Year 8 of the new Muslim calendar, though that had not yet come into being. In that year, 20 armed horsemen, led by Sa’d ibn Zayd, were sent by Muhammad to destroy the statue of Manat, the pagan goddess of fate, at Qudayd, on the road between Mecca and Medina. For eight years Muhammad had tolerated the uneasy co-existence of the pagan god ALLAH and his three daughters: Al Lat, Al-Uzza, and Manat. Al-Uzza (the morning star, Venus) was the favourite goddess of the Quraysh, the tribe to which Muhammad belonged, but Manat was the most popular in the region as a whole, and was idolised by three key Meccan tribes that Muhammad had been desperately trying to win over to his new monotheistic religion. By year 8, however, three important military victories had been won against rival pagan and Jewish forces. The battle of Badr had seen Muhammad triumph against the Meccan tribes despite the smallness of his army, and Muhammad must have deemed further ideological compromise unnecessary. Sa’d ibn Zayd and his 20 horsemen had arrived to enforce the new monotheism.

The keeper of Manat’s sanctuary saw the horsemen approach, but remained silent as they dismounted. No greetings were exchanged. Their demeanour indicated that they had not come to honour Manat or to leave a token offering. The keeper did not stand in their way. According to Islamic tradition, Sa’d ibn Zayd approached the beautifully carved statue of Manat, a naked black woman seemed to emerge from nowhere. The keeper called out “Come, O Manat, show the anger of which you are capable!” Manat began to pull out her hair and to beat her breasts in despair, while cursing her tormentors. Sa’d beat her to death. Only then did his 20 companions join him. Together they hacked away until they had destroyed the statue. The sanctuaries of: Al Lat and Al-Uzza, were dealt with in similar fashion, probably on the same day.

Islamic Monotheism therefore is not by any stretch of the imagination the same as the Bible of the Jews or Christians.

Allah is not the universal father of mankind his character is totally different to the God of Abraham. He is the God of Muslims only and in many passages of the Koran he is determined to the destruction of all of Islam’s enemies, it is sad to see that a Muslim cannot even say ‘salaam’ to a Christian because he would be saying ‘peace’ and that is forbidden by the Koran, Allah is not the same God as Yahweh because Allah is vengeful on all those who are not his followers, many texts allude to the savagery his followers are exhorted to and expected to visit on Allah’s enemies. Muslim’s do not try to explain Allah as Christians do God, to them Allah is unknowable but unmerciful to those who are not Muslim and all merciful to those who are Muslim. This is in direct contradiction to Jesus’ word that “From the days of old till the day of John the Baptist the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence and men of violence try to take heaven by force”

Jesus tells us passionately that he came not for peace but for a sword, Ezekiel 33 is a testimony of the Spirit of Truth for judgement, the Word of the Lord appears to Ezekiel as a glittering great two edged sword; appealing for a spirit of repentance, as it does so it lays out the compassion of God and the futility of those who reject him by their wickedness, Jesus is speaking again of this sword when he say’s that men preferred the darkness to the light that uncovers their deeds. This same sword is the Judge and the Paraclete, which has authority to judge those alive or dead. In the cursing psalms a man or men may have been judged for his/their actions and the sentence is “measure for measure” because God has already heard the cry of the helpless victim, and witnessed the scene and the crime, his anger is justified. Yet to the repentant he will find the “Comforter” from some part in the judgement “Another, another one saved in the end” maybe.

Yet Gods judgements are right, why have the uninformed described God as issuing inhumane edicts; when the Israelites entered Canaan God said that the evil of the Canaanites had robbed them of their right to live in Gods presence (they practiced Child sacrifice) "It is not for your good I have given you the ( promised) land" he told the Israelites, ”it is for my own righteousness”.

Muhammad said that he received his message from Allah through the Angel Gabriel, yet there is a highly disputed text which states that the Angel Gabriel appeared to him censuring him as a liar. In any case Islam is a religion whose adherents will be subject to the judgement of the Holy Spirit, it’s dependant on the testimony of Moses and the commandments, from which they are obliged to love their neighbour, and the God who has made himself known through Christ. Armed jihads to all corners of the world do not aid their salvation it denies it.

Muhammad will be responsible for the sins of many of those who believed in him, and for substituting a false God, Allah, who hates everyone except Muslims.

Despite this Muslims do need to know the truth of the Gospel, most of the people leading this discussion with Islam are aware that only by educating them can we ever hope for a peaceful coexistence with them. Unfortunately it is a closed society saying “You Christians have nothing to teach us and we have nothing to learn”

Yet we now know that Jihad is a pagan ideology which offers blood sacrifices to a lesser God and a Monotheistic religion is dependant upon the message of God interpreted by Christ
