circles that show these beheadings,I see the public threats as a charade to appear as compassionate followers of Islam.
If the terrorists(oops freedom fighters)start holding up current newspapers to prove the date,then I'll believe they actually will release a non-Muslim,for now this is a cheap stunt to make video's and feed the silent masses of Muslims that really don't condemn this act that's
taught in the Quran.

BAGHDAD, Iraq — A posting on an Islamic Internet site Saturday claimed that an Al Qaeda-linked group has killed British hostage Kenneth Bigley. The claim could not immediately be confirmed.

Bigley was kidnapped Sept. 16 with two Americans, Eugene Armstrong and Jack Hensley, who have since been beheaded. They were all taken — from their home in Baghdad — by the Tawhid and Jihad group of Jordanian terror mastermind Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

The Web site where the posting appeared has often carried messages from Zarqawi's followers, including gruesome video that showed Hensley and Armstrong being killed. It also showed video on Wednesday of Bigley, 62, begging for his life.

The Foreign Office in London said it was aware of the claim but described the site as "discredited."

"We don't think it's anything to be taken too seriously," the Foreign Office statement said.

Saturday's message also claimed that seven British troops had been captured, but Capt. Donald Francis, a spokesman for the British military said that all forces "are accounted for."

He had no information on the claim to have executed the British hostage.

The statement appeared in red script on the Web site and consisted of only two sentences: "Tawhid and Jihad announces that it has executed the British citizen and gives you the good news of kidnapping seven British soldiers. We will be releasing the tape shortly."

In the video released Wednesday, Bigley was shown begging authorities to meet his kidnappers' demands to free all female Iraqi prisoners and save his life. The United States says there are two high-profile women in custody in Iraq and there are no plans to release them.

The posting came a day after Bigley's 86-year-old mother Lil begged the kidnappers to let her son go free.

"Please show mercy to my Ken and send him home to me alive," she said in a video statement, sitting behind a table between two of her other sons and grasping one's hand. "His family need him. I need him."

Hours after making the statement, Lil Bigley was taken to a local hospital, where officials said her condition was stable. It was not clear what she was being treated for.

Bigley's wife, Sombat, also pleaded with the militants to release him.

"We have been married for seven years and I love him very much," she said from her home in Thailand. "I desperately want to be reunited with my husband. I plea for your mercy now, and beg that you release Ken so that I may be with him again."

Flyers from Bigley's family had also been distributed around Baghdad pleading for his release.

More than 140 foreigners have been kidnapped in Iraq — some by anti-U.S. insurgents and some by criminals seeking ransoms. At least 26 of them have been killed.

KENNETH BIGLEY’S chances of emerging from Iraq alive are desperately slim because key intermediaries have been driven from the country and his kidnappers’ only aim is to create “utter havoc”, according to Britain’s most successful Iraq hostage negotiator.

Mr Bigley was probably sold for up to $250,000 (£150,000) to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi by those who seized him, but no amount of money would buy his freedom, Canon Andrew White, who left Baghdad this month because of fears for his own life, said.

“The reality is that once these people are with the al-Qaeda groups it is too late,” Canon White told The Times after returning from Washington, where he briefed senior US officials. “Nobody knows where al-Zarqawi is. Those who are closest to him will not reveal anything. In the hostage-taking process you have to move really quickly; the first 48 hours are crucial.”

Hopes rose last night for some Western hostages held in Iraq as US forces captured three men believed to be involved in the kidnapping of two Italian female aid workers, and France said it had heard from the abductors of two journalists.

Italian television reported that an Iraqi tribal chief named Hatem Mutin al-Awad and his two sons had been captured during a raid at Ramadi, 60 miles west of Baghdad. But there was no news as to whether the women, Simona Pari and Simona Torretta, both 29, had been freed.

Canon White had earlier dismissed reports that the Italians had been murdered as almost certainly false. His 18-strong staff in Baghdad has been in contact with those holding them.

The British Embassy yesterday put out 50,000 leaflets begging for information about Mr Bigley across the Iraqi capital. “A family man called Kenneth Bigley is being held somewhere in your community,” it said in Arabic. “Ken’s mother, brothers, wife and child love him dearly. We are appealing for your help.”

The Muslim Council of Britain is sending two negotiators, Daud Abdullah and Musharraf Hussain, to Baghdad to seek Mr Bigley’s release. Iqbal Sacranie, its secretary-general, appealed to the hostage takers: “Be merciful. Our religion, Islam, does not allow us to harm the innocent.”

Canon White, who orchestrated the rescue of four Western hostages by coalition special forces in June, is a former Middle East peace envoy for George Carey, the former Archbishop of Canterbury, and a close friend of Yassir Arafat, the Palestinian leader.

He said that the best hope of securing Mr Bigley’s release would be a direct appeal from a senior Sunni Muslim cleric respected in the Sunni Triangle where he is thought to be held.

But many leading Sunni figures, including a handful thought to be capable of reaching al-Zarqawi, fled the country because of the US-backed de-Baathification programme and are now in neighbouring states such as Syria and Jordan. “Their assets were seized and they could no longer afford their own security, so they left,” Canon White said.

He added that Mr Bigley was now a pawn in an ordeal that could drag on for weeks, and should contact be established with al-Zarqawi through the right channels it was still conceivable he could be released.

“The method would be to get the local religious leaders to talk to him,” he explained. “They would have to say to al-Zarqawi, ‘You need to help us. What you are doing weakens the broader Sunni cause, but you are in a position to empower us.’ ”

Canon White insisted that the Foreign Office staff working for Mr Bigley’s release were “the best I have encountered” and that the British policy of ruling out any concessions was right.

Al-Zarqawi’s demand for the release of “female prisoners” was designed to tap into a widespread but false perception that hundreds were in custody, he said. Even if the demand were met, Mr Bigley would not be released. The terrorists’ real aim was to cause “total and utter havoc. This is a real attempt to destabilise the re-storation of Iraq, to remove the American presence, to try to restore Islamic rule.”

CAIR et al give comments for the purpose of saying that they have to rebut accusations that they "don't condemn violence." However qualifiers such as "but" and comparing beheadings, bombings, and other violence are an example of taqiyya.

Not refuting violent jihad and the underlying Koranic and ahadith texts demonstrate that they really silently are cheering for the jihadists that are doing their dirty work while they, the silent majority, are insidiously doing the undercover jihad: natural increase at double or triple the rest of the population, sanitizing Islam in textbooks, Muslim apologetics, plying the halls of power, banking, politics, council of churches, charities, etc. with cash and other incentives, and so on.

Although we focus on the violence and the abhorrent beheadings, the more dangerous jihadists are those that sail smoothly through society, smiling, and plying their taqiyya and kitman tactics.

Lets hope the U.N. doesn't get its nose in Iraq again,they'll only confirm that they're sure the claims of false reports of the beheading of Bigley might not be accurate but may be proven that they're true about it being false.
That's based on the U.N.s record on the WMD's
they insisted which they couldn't confirm they didn't exists or deny the WND's weren't destroyed as demanded in resolution 1441.

Perhaps you should have read more about Muhammad than Encyclopedia entries. Such as the Sirat Rasullah, by Ibn Ishaq, a centuries-old biography of Muhammad written by a devout Muslim -- which also fully chronicles his rapes, murders, caravan raids, assassinations and aggressive (not defensive)military jihads.

Excerpt:

Ishaq:369 “Thereupon Mas’ud leapt upon Sunayna, one of the Jewish merchants with whom his family had social and commercial relations and killed him. The Muslim’s brother complained, saying, ‘Why did you kill him? You have much fat in you belly from his charity.’ Mas’ud answered, ‘By Allah, had Muhammad ordered me to murder you, my brother, I would have cut off your head.’ Wherein the brother said, ‘Any religion that can bring you to this is indeed wonderful!’ And he accepted Islam.”

Islam is an extremely oppressive religion. It denies all freedom, to both men and women.
Moslem women are treated worse than dogs. This indoctrination of oppression is then blamed on the Jew and Christian. So the peaceful oppressed Moslem gains such hatred for those groups.
The Moslem must ask questions like, can I think about Allah in the bathroom? He must then go to his local Imam to get the answer. This keeps the Imam as the ruler over his local Moslems. Both of these are read / studied by Islamic scholars world over. They give chronological order to the events in the Qur'an (very important due to the "law of abbrogation")

Google them, They are indeed renowned Islamic sources and not from westerners who are trying to dis-credit Muhammed.
Then try and buy them.
Read them and you'll discover the horrific things Muhammed sanctioned and commanded.

Very early on in Muhammad's mission as a prophet, the mighty Quraysh tribe offered Muhammad leadership, money, power, women, whatever he wanted to renounce his message. He was bitterly persecuted after rejecting them. Also, he himself is criticzed by God in the Quran. He lived and died a simple man with hardly any wordly belongings. If you study his life it is VERY clear he was not lusting wealth, fame and power. Also, even his most bitter enemies conceded that prior to his prophethood he was renowned amongst them for his honesty and integrity.

No other major world religion has any comparable example in their holy texts. Buddha and Christ would never have said any such thing in a million years.

I'm sorry I cannot convince you of my truthfulness. The attacks you have made against God's Messenger are not new and I found sufficient answers to the issues you raised during my research.

Bible and Koranic verses aside. We know and quote them...but what really matters is action, what people do with those verses. No one sees Christians going on rampages killing or beheading while citing Bible verses as a justification. In fact, a Christian that would do such a thing would be censured for such behavior, and no one could ever claim such violence to be Christian behavior.

In contrast, Islam glorifies and demands violence, and Muslims reward jihadists for their violent behavior that emulates the behavior of Mohammad, calling him the "perfect Muslim," as described in Koran and ahadith....

It is interesting that this claim about the fate of Mr. Bigley has not appeared on UK media outlets. Seems to have been all over the Italian media when the same claim was made about the two Simonas.

Over here it seems that the main concern is that as few as possible Muslim feathers are ruffled by the whole situation. The Bishop of Liverpool who is supposed to be on the Evangelical wing of the CofE is taking part in a massive charm offensive with the chairman of the Liverpool Mosque to assure people that this is not in keeping with the 'true nature of Islam'!

Two Muslim leaders from the Muslim Council of Britain went over to Iraq to work for his release. The BBC calls them 'Trusted Officials'. One of them stated: "We believe we are well placed - perhaps better placed than others - to convey our concerns." Hmmm, why so!?

Plenty of self loathing around. It's the war. It's Western arrogance. It's 'Western Zionism'. It's our thirst for oil. It's lack of tolerance. Radical Islam hardly gets a look in.

Meanwhile Mr. Bigley is held by people under divine obligation to 'Strike at his neck'.

I would just like to say thank you to everyone on this site and thank you to Mr. Spencer. I have been visiting this site daily for a couple of weeks now and I am amazed. Before I visited this site I knew that jihad was the elimination of the 'infidels' however I was not aware that EVERYONE who doesn't follow the koran was an 'infidel' and is to be killed. Even if that person is tolerant of the muslim faith.

I have a very hard time believing that you are a vetran of the navy or any branch of the armed forces. I am a new recruit in the air force soon to be shipping off to BT after the holidays, and even I know that there is no way that you could have been in the navy. You don't spend 6+ weeks in BT getting the military way of life beat into your brain and then spend 7 years enlisted and not even know one motto of the armed forces! Maybe you can tell everyone what your enlisted job was and what your squad number and/or motto was? Then maybe I could believe you.

Most people here seem like very educated individuals, so I'd like to say thanks to the majority of you for listing your comments on this site and for Mr. Spencer for making this site. It has changed my views on the muslim faith.

I am supposing, Paul that the prime instance you are referring to would be the four stages of embryonic development as outlined in Sura Al-Mu'minun 23:14.

These stages as described by the Qur'an, are identical to that taught by the enormously influential Greek physician Galen. Galen, writing in around AD 150 in Pergamum (Bergama in modern Turkey), taught that the embryo developed in the same four stages. Please see this link.

Thus, I have to conclude that, 500yrs after its initial discovery, this was not an 'accurate scientific revelation'.

I'm a new comer to this blogging business and these various sites.I've been reading the articles and comments with much interest. I note that many of you do appear to have quite a bit of knowledge and or background in Islam and the Qur'an/Koran by some of the lenghty posts. For me,those are a waste of my time to read.I know all I need to Know about Islam, their Qur'an and belief system.I learned all I need to know when the first american was so brutaly murdered.I don't have to know the evolution of a rattle snake to know it can kill me. I keep hearing about "It's only the radical faction of Islam" that are the trouble makers.That being the case then I'm damned confused. If that is true,well where are the mass demonstrations by the non-radical mainstream Muslims denouncing those crazies? Where are the "good" clerics going on television to denounce those people? You are a Moslem, right? Do you have to research Moslem stuff?
What did you find so appealing about Islam, that made you convert?
If you do I think you joined a group that you know nothing about.
We judge the Qur’an because we have read the Qur’an. Moslems follow Mohammed and the Qur’an, so the judgement goes both was.
We understand that Mohammed was not or is not a man to model your life after!

Why do Muslims always bring up the bible when quotes from the Koran are used to underline the violence against the innocent in Islam?

There is plenty of violence in the bible, stonings and war. But do Jews or Christians stone or behead in these modern times? Where does one see this antiquated and brutal punishment along with amputations and honor killings? Only in Muslim honor/shame driven societies where Sharia is rule do we see the brutality of the religion of peace -- public beheadings, surgical amputations for theft etc.

Only Muslims encourage their children to long for death while killing as many Jews as possible. Only Muslims praise their god while torturing innocent children -- sneering at their thirst and demanding they drink their urine, shooting them in the back.

The majority of moderate Muslims say that they are not represented by this fraction of murdering jihadists. But they support them with their money and make excuses for them, attempting to justify the actions of these merciless killers.

Here is my message to you and all your brainwashed brethren who think the West will be terrified into appeasement and submission;

You think Americans are weak and have no stomach for the bloody fight we know is coming. You think that we would rather roll over, defeated like France than raise a hand to defend our lives, our country and our freedom.

It is important for folks out there who read these threads to think about this Paul business. The baldface lies...and I am certain that he lied about his identity.

His oddball conversion story, the reference to 9/11 (the greatest gloat-fest in recent Islamic history about converting Infidels...too convenient), he is a fan of every team in Boston (trying too hard), the '(7 years)' service, as if he had to add it after he figured out terms of service, no recollection of mottos or anything, taunting me for my phone number (and we all know what that means), and his handle, ROCK 314 that takes us to Gothic asskickers...

And THAT is the real message of Paul, my friends. THAT is what this is all about. Conversion by the boot, by terror, that or slavery or death; isn't that what his proclaimed conversion story implies? 9/11 brought him to his senses: fear God and surrender. Hence the laughs, the jests of Osama Bin Ladin that echo through Mosques to this very day.

I will comment on the science/Islam issue here since I have a degree in Chemistry (with a minor in biology) and am now in school studying forensic science.

I am guessing that this Paul guy is referring to the new movement to try to "prove" through "scientific fact" that the Qur'an is packed full of prediction that modern science is now showing to be possible. A good example is this website http://www.science4islam.com/ (I found this a blast to read and very entertaining!...well at least once I got through all of the horrible English)

First I would like to say that there is no such thing as "scientific truth" or "proving" anything in the world of science and any real scientist would know this. Science involves repetition of experimentation and reproducible results by any scientist anywhere in the world at any time. I have yet to see a real scientific experiment, peer reviewed paper to show that Islam has anything scientific to offer. Sure there are a lot of vague verses that Muhammad stole from other people like the Jews, or the Greeks (the story about how humans were created from different colored soils...very similar to the old testament where god creates Adam from clay...and anyway our skin color has nothing to do with different colors of soil but skin pigment cells). Then there are many places where the Qur'an is so wrong it's funny like it's statement that sperm comes from the backbone...a Greek idea where the sperm was formed in the head and moved down the backbone...

The very vague embryology passages in the Qur'an are a joke compared to the very complex ideas that we see in modern science...there is no blood clot but a very complex grouping of cells that communicate to each other and are influenced in many different ways (placement in the group and chemical signals) to form the parts of the body. I could go on about bone formation from cartilage ossification centers but that's too much typing at this point...

In other words, modern Anatomy is now discovering the roles of sense in instigating human desires whereas Quran is protecting the believers from such evils since fourteen centuries. So there you have it! The Qur'an is divine because the verses somehow some way have to do with senses and the anatomy of the body that deals with them. Maybe it's just me but I'm guessing that people who lived 1000s of years before the great science of Muhammad knew that the senses play a part in sexuality. So I guess shaking hands with a woman is too sexual to Muslims... Do Muslims have any self-control and is everything about sex? I have touched a woman’s hand before to shake it and I wasn't sexually aroused. I'm guessing this is because there is an unhealthy repression of sexual desires in Islamic culture and I'm not talking about promiscuous sex but normal sexual behavior required for healthy human developement...

Anyway...if anyone wants to argue any specific "scientific" claims of Islam fell free to post.

Female circumcision only took place in backwards societies where women were still objectified because the people still had a belief system that was based off of a barbaric 7th century way of life. Hmmmm that reminds me of something can't put my finger on it though?

In science if you perform an experiment and it disproves your hypothesis then you need to come up with another one using your observations from the experiment. It may be a completly new one completly different or it could be the old one but modified. Also one other reason I don't believe Muslims when it comes to science is that they are looking for a way to prove something so they come up with tests that will give them their predetermined conclusion. Junk science comes to mind....

Agree with what you said..the islamsits are scared of hell probably more than they love BIG ALLAH. In the book 1984 the populous was scared of BIG BROTHER too. In the book a the main character gets tortured to the edge of death till he loves BIG BROTHER.

Though in a way BIg BROTHER does have similarities to BIG ALLAH. For example like BIG ALLAH/GOD (sorry god for the analogy) and the deified emperor Hirohito before ww2, BIG BROTHER is never seen. This helps to make BIg Brother seem divine/god like. Like BIG ALLAH, BIG BROTHER is omnipotent (seeing everything) and is all wise. He like BIG ALLAH AND GOD is always watching so as toi judge your worthiness to society. Also BIG BROTHER is represented as loving his people more than any mere mortal could, just like GOD. I am sure many academics would agree that Orwell choose these godlike characteristics for BIG BROTHER so as to show how totalitarin states wished to use the need in human beings for a god in their lives for state ends. To show how the state could harness this powerful religious impulse in humans to create total obedience in the populous to the state.

But you are right, Big Allah does carry a nasty beating stick into the afterlife whereas Big Brother can't get to you after you have been tortured to death, turned into ashes and sent up the chimney pipe.

Maybe a post-humous appendix or chapter to 1984 could be arranged to incorporate this extra concept of BIG ALLAH geeting you after you die.

Would it be God’s grace or mercy or salvation?
I would like to be able to help our Moslem friends.
so far I only know how to incite them.
Everything I know about Islam has come from this site and just a few others.

My Church has a big outreach to Muslims and we are seeing good results.

We have a bus on Sunday mornings just to pick up the 'Internationals' (majority Muslim, - A lot of which are now ex-Muslim!)

I can look around at our Church on a Sunday morning and would typically see Yemenis, Iranians, Palestinians, & Tanzanians either praising God or watching on curiously as we praise Him.

I don't think there is ever a 'professional way' to witness to them, you just have to be led by the Spirit of God, but there do seem to be some things that 'open doors'.

Bar in addition to what they've said about Islam, the best way to reach out to the muslims is by showing them true love of Christ, they are like blind people who needs guidiance to and need to know the way. Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life, no one cometh unto the father except by me, if they want to get to God, it is only through Jesus christ.
If you meet a muslim for the first time, try to show them love. At first time of contact, muslims hate this phrase" Jesus is Lord" because they strongly believe that Allah is lord. Infact they are lost and do not have way back.
