When the candidate was a terrorist

"Only a thoroughgoing worldwide repudiation of the Islamic principles that lead to terrorist violence will suffice."

If one must take a public stand, than this is as far as one can reasonably go in stating their position among what was once termed "polite society."

However, it should be pointed out that this laudable position will never come to be.

Moreover, recent events suggest that just the opposite in fact, is actually occurring.

The harsh realization that all the underpinnings of "islamic principles that lead to terrorist violence" can not be repudiated unitl islam itself is repudiated -- will force one to consider difficult choices.

Since this last position can not be publically stated by anyone wishing to maintain credibility, islam with all its horrors seems likely to thrive.

Indeed, it is ironic - and tragically so, that the islamic beasts are allowed to murder the reasonable - because the reasonable, being what they are, wish to maintain the extravegance of credibility in the company of those who have neither respect nor appreciation for the meaning of such things.

In the beggining I was against the war in Iraq,not because I give a rats ass about "arabs hating us"(like they didn't anyway Mr.Libs), or "global terror rising" (it would have continued at the same pace anyway,BTW heard of 9/11 Mr.Libs...oh yeah that was because we're giving support to Israel, who damn well deserve it)or even because Iraq was "nothing to do with 9/11( islamic terrorism, and islamic tyrants have the same agenda and the same arch enemy... can anyone on the left say "Team Up").
No, the reason I was against the Iraq war is because I didn't want more british soldiers lives being wasted to save the asses of foreigners (muslim foreigners to make matters worse) who didn't have the balls to fight oppression from Saddam themselves.And I also thought didn't want billions of £ of taxpayers money being wasted on rebuilding their shithole of a country, and I also believed that there was no hope of a democracy ever working over there.

Now I'm all for it, and my reasons for this are:

1.>Saddam needed stopping before he made Iraq the most dangerous country in the world.

2.> Just like when you pour poison on an ants nest, the verminous-bugs come out of their nest to die, thousands of the worlds terrorist/insurgent/militant/jihadists are coming to iraq to fight jihad against " U.S occupation".This is only a good thing, the more that come , the more get captured or killed, and the less terrorism in the future, there shall be (BTW- Brainless lefties moan how things are worse now than ever.... HELLO it's a war not a carnival, and the reason more terrorist are there is because we've flushed them out, made a battle arena to defeat them on, and the lunatics, being to primitive and religiously mental to see it, just keep comming and comming!!!There'll be none left for Iran-LOL)

3.> With a pro-western government installed, we will have a new ally in the heart of terrorland (arabia y'all), to collaborate with exchange intelligence with , and a new haven/HQ for CIA, MI5 and European anti-terror groups.

Summarized, the war in Iraq was an extremely smart tactical move that killed two birds with one stone (toppled Saddam, and will put us at an advantage when Iran and Syria get whats comming to them).
Whether the left like it or not (and they don't because ,quite simply, they see it as an illegal war and it appears to their mindset that we are the villains - a new Nazi movement or something simular -- which is ridiculous because if that was the case we'd have taken out two thirds of the Arabian Peninsula by now) we've started this war on terror,we're making good progress and (if Kerry doesn't get elected, which I hope to God he doesn't)
we'll damn well see it finished too.

It appears that Russia has learned its lessons the hard way after giving into Baseyev in 1995 and giving him safe passage back to Chechnya.

So here he is again, taking responsibility for the 2 downed Russian aircraft, the car bomb near a moscow subway, and the horrible massacre of children in the town of Beslan.

Russia may still have to learn the hard way when it comes to working with Iran. I think assisting or supporting Iran with its infrastructure is going to be a serious miscalulation for Russia in the future. When you support a radical islamic regime such as Iran, you run the risk of them turning on you when they think they have enough power.

As Russia ,France, and Germany need to realize that the radical states who subscribe to the militant tenets of the Quran and the hadiths will still see them as infidels in the end and will use them until they can turn on them.

Naseem, my friend, Sharia law WAS okay, not for the 7th century, but in 7th-century southern Saudi Arabia... in a harsh environment there has to be cooperation, or the entire tribe will fail (die out.) When cooperation isn't voluntary (as with the "primitive" Bushmen of Angola-Namibia-South Africa, the Aboriginies of Australia, etc.) it has to be enforced. So of course, in order to avoid men fighting to the death over a women, it was important to keep women "modest" and covered up and hidden away from the lustful eye of all other men. And when your life depends on maintaining your small supply of food, thievery should be punished severely, etc. etc.

Naseem, as the necessity for Sharia has passed, so has the necessity for religion at all. I'm not saying that we should not be religious, but we shouldn't follow religions that practice, condone, and even encourage violence, forced conversion, etc.

I like most Americans was born into a Christian familiy, but have gradually accepted that it's mostly a bunch of crap. Likewise, if you objectively studied the origins and history of Islam, I think that you will come to the same conclusion.

It is easy enough to renounce the bad parts of a certain mindset and retain the good parts...but you need to make sure that you really get rid of all the bad parts. So for instance, I believe in the Christian urging toward tolerance, forbearance, kindness, "do unto others..." etc. In a similar manner there's nothing wrong with maintaining the Muslim tendency toward charitable giving, determination, etc.

Muslims in general have many favorable traits, like here in America, they all want to work hard, make a lot of money, send their kids to college for science, medicine, engineering, etc. It is widely believed that Muslims really love kids (well, especially Muslim kids).

But there are other Muslim traits that are very unfavorable, like the anti-Semitism, the mistreatment of women and girls, etc.

There is some good and some bad in every group of like-minded people: conservatives, liberals, communists, capitalists, anarchists, Moaists, Loyalists, Federalists, socialists, atheists, christians, muslims, jews, Quakers, republicans, democrats, Dixiecrats, Confederates, Unionists, Irish-Catholics, Anglo-Protestants, etc. The important thing do is shift through all of them and not "throw the baby out with the bathwater."

Naseem, not to be insulting, but an appropriate analogy here would be that of a turd. Once it's out, the smell disipates, until eventually there's no smell at all (if you have ever had a pet dog, which I realize is unlikely, you can believe this.) Good Muslims, like good Christians, are not good because of their religion, but rather in spite of it.

Think about it Naseem, it's ludicrous. Most people in the more advanced countries of the civilized world are beginning to reject religion, and for this very reason.

Ishaq:313 “The Muslims told Abu Sufyan to pay them a ransom to free his son, Amr. He replied, ‘Am I to suffer the double loss of my blood and my money? After you have killed my son Hanzala, you want me to pay you a ransom to save Amr?’”
Bukhari:V5B59N357 “The Badr warriors were given five thousand dirhams each, yearly. Umar [the future Caliph] said, ‘I will always give them more than what I will give to others.’”

Ishaq:316 “On the Badr expedition, the Messenger took the sword of Dhu al-Faqar as booty. It had belonged to Munabbih. On that day he also took Abu Jahl’s camel as booty. It was a Mahri dromedary on which he used to go on raids. It is said that he wrote ‘Ma’aqil’ [Blood-Money] on his sword.”

A Muslim without a horse got one share of the spoil. It was the first booty in which lots were cast.”

Talking of terrorist candidates, anyone remember that election in Algeria where the islamic front was on the verge of winning and the secular military staged a coup to prevent them from gaining power?

The islamic salvation front was campaigning on the platform of abolishing all elections and bringing in Sharia' with itself in power for perpetuity.... and those slimeballs won a majority of the votes!!!

Now we know why islam and democracy are oh-so-compatible....

You know, this is MUCH more important than it appears. If the freely chosen choice of a democratic electorate in Islamic societies is radical Islamic Shaira law and home and expanisionist Jihad abroad, then one the reasons President Bush gave for going into Iraq is wrong. If you will recall, one of his goals was regieme change the idea being that a democratic Iraq would not oppress its people. That being the case, they could practice Islam freely and run for office at home, if they chose. It is a well known belief in US government circles that "Democracies do not make war on one another" but does that apply to Islamic democracies?

IF Jihad is the people's choice and not something imposed on them by dictators, then we are facing a WWII style total war, not just a few bad governments here and there. So far the evidence in Algeria, Chechneya, and Iran where popular movements gave power to Islamists or were about to, is that this is indeed the case.

In other words, the problem in Iraq is a large percentage of the Iraqi people, not a few leftovers from Saddam's rule.

Thank GOD that the military coup took over Algeria and Pakistan. At least a General is more likely to have a real education instead of a lifetime wasted reading one single book (Koran) and maybe its adenda (Hadiths.)
