One good thing could come of this: Arafat could issue a heartfelt, sincere, apology from his death bed. He could beg for forgiveness for the thousands of people he has, or has had, murdered. He could issue a call for the "palestinians" to lay down arms and work peacefully.

But don't count on it. Remember that smug prick Timothy McVeigh, when the judge asked him whether he had anything to say to himself it was some blather about patriotism or whatever, instead of an apology to the bereaved of those he killed in OK City.

Next time, answer with 4, etc. Around the time they send the eighth rocket, entire blocks of "palestine" will disappear in retaliation.

But finish the wall now! Do it while you still have mainstream support of both the major American parties! Hillary, Kerry, and Edwards have all said that Israel needs to defend itself and finish the wall. We in America are being driven toward extremes. If the Nader or Buchanon party ever assumes control, Israel will not like the policies THEY want to impose.

The communist regime in Hanoi monitored closely and looked favorably upon the activities of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War during the period Senator Kerry served most actively as the group's spokesman and a member of its executive committee, two captured Viet Cong documents suggest.
The documents - one dubbed a "circular" and the other a "directive" - were captured in 1971 and are part of a trove of material from the war currently stored at the Vietnam Archive at Texas Tech University at Lubbock. Originally organized by Douglas Pike, a major scholar who is now deceased, the archive contains more than 20 million documents. Many are available online at the Virtual Vietnam Archive and, as the election has heated up, have been the focus of a scramble for insights into Mr. Kerry's anti-war activities. The Circular and the Directive are listed as items numbered 2150901039b and 2150901041 respectively. Their authenticity was confirmed by Stephen Maxner, archivist at the Vietnam Archive.
The two documents provide a glimpse of the favorable way the Viet Cong viewed the activities in which Mr. Kerry was involved. They are from many documents of a kind that were ordinarily sent to a unit called the Captured Document Exploitation Center at the United States Military Assistance Command, Vietnam, which was headquartered in Saigon. Documents like these that were sent to the center were immediately translated into English and processed for battlefield intelligence for targeting or operations as required, or filed.
The CDEC cover sheet of the "Directive" indicates it was "acquired" on May 12, 1971. The cover sheet itself is dated June 30, 1971, and is entitled "VC Efforts to Back Antiwar Demonstrations in the United States." It shows a detailed knowledge of such VVAW activities as the Dewey Canyon demonstration on the Mall in Washington in April 1971, mentioning the "return of their medals." And the Saigon American military intelligence cover sheet dates the information in that document as being assembled in Vietnam only a week after the Washington VVAW demonstration had taken place.
The CDEC Viet Cong document titled "Circular on Antiwar Movements in the US" notes, "The spontaneous antiwar movements in the US have received assistance and guidance from the friendly (VC/NVN) delegations at the Paris Peace Talks." It also notes that "The seven-point peace proposal (of the SVN Provisional Revolutionary Government) [the Viet Cong proposal advanced by one of its envoys, Madame Binh, operating out of Paris] not only solved problems concerning the release of US prisoners but also motivated the people of all walks of life and even relatives of US pilots detained in NVN to participate in the antiwar movement."
The significance of the documents lies in the way they dovetail with activities of the young Mr. Kerry as he led the VVAW anti-war movement in the spring of 1971.
It was in April that he gave his testimony to the Senate, in which he accused American GIs of having committed war crimes and belittled the idea that there was a communist threat to America. Mr. Kerry had already had, in June of 1970, a meeting in Paris with enemy diplomats, ostensibly, he has indicated, to get a sense of how American prisoners held in Hanoi might be freed. Two historians believe Mr. Kerry made a second trip to Paris in the summer of 1971 and held further talks with the North Vietnamese. The Kerry campaign has denied this.
FBI surveillance and Mr. Kerry's own statements have established his two visits to Paris to meet with the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong delegations to the Paris Peace Talks as taking place in June of 1970 and August of 1971.
An FBI surveillance report dated November 11, 1971, has also established that Mr. Kerry and Al Hubbard, the executive director of the VVAW who had brought Mr. Kerry into the organization, planned to return to meet with them again in Paris on November 15, 1971.
A November 24, 1971, FBI surveillance report disclosed that Mr. Hubbard had also had meetings on his own with the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong delegations in Paris. It noted that he had reported at a national meeting of the VVAW in Kansas City that the Communist Party of the United States had paid his expenses for the most recent one.
The purpose of these meetings by the two top VVAW members, Messrs. Hubbard and Kerry, has always been assumed to be informational. But the documents in the Texas archive suggest another possibility. On July 23, 1971, The New York Times reported that Mr. Kerry held a demonstration in Washington in support of the "seven-point peace proposal" and, according to the Times, "Mr. Kerry, who is 27 years, introduced wives, parents and sisters of prisoners to plead for support."
The Times's dispatch stated that Mr. Kerry charged "...the latest Vietcong peace offer in Paris, which promises the release of prisoners as American troops are withdrawn, is being ignored by Mr. Nixon..."
The circular in the Texas archive states, "The antiwar movements in the US are trying to find means to cooperate... They are also trying by all means to support the seven-point peace proposal (of the PRG) [Viet Cong] and oppose the distorted interpretation made by the White House, the Pentagon and CIA."

Dems Register al-Qaida Terrorists in Ohio Vote Drive
In a bid to get out the vote for John Kerry, Democrat activist groups in Ohio have registered at least two known terrorists involved in a plot to blow up a shopping center.
Nuradin Abdi, a Somali immigrant and admitted al-Qaida member who was indicted earlier this year as part of a conspiracy to blow up the Columbus Mall, was registered to vote by the left-wing group ACORN, according to the Columbus Dispatch and the Ohio News Now TV Network.
ACORN has spearheaded an aggressive Democrat vote drive in the battleground states.
Iyman Faris, another new Ohio voter added to the rolls by Democrats, is serving a 20-year jail sentence for his role in surveilling potential al-Qaida targets, including the Brooklyn Bridge, the Dispatch said.
According to Ohio News Now, Abdi's name was added to the rolls by ACORN employee Kevin Eugene Dooley as part of the group's Project Vote operation.
Dooley was indicted earlier this year on two felony election offenses: false election registration and submitting false election signatures to the Ohio Board of Elections.
"As far as board of elections is concerned, Abdi is a registered voter," Ohio board of elections director Matt Damschroeder told ONN.
Only after Abdi's case was exposed did Ohio officials strike his name from the voting rolls, because of his status as an illegal alien.
Faris became a naturalized citizen in 1999 but is not eligible to vote because he's an incarcerated felon.

It will come when Iraq descends, as descend it should, into sectarian and ethnic strife, when Chaos arrives, when the full failure of Islam, political, economic, and above all intellectual, becomes clear to a sufficient number of people, as it once did to Ataturk. Ataturk's reforms, which did not change Islamic doctrine, but tamed and constrained the practice (there is always a danger of relapse, which is why the "reformation" of Islam is an aim based on dreamy misinformation. Kemalism put Islam in a cage; he gave women the right to vote, he abolished the tarboosh, so that the rimless hat that made prayer easier would no longer be available, he cut the linguistic umbilical cord by outlawing the Arabic script and adopting the Latin alphabet (only among the Turcomans of northern Iraq does one still find newspapers in "Ottoman Turkish" -- a rare treat for some of the American Ottomanists among the soldiers there). And all of this could NOT have been done by the English.

Trying to keep Iraq together, using men, materiel, money, and political capital to do everything for the passive Iraqis (who whine continuously about how the Americans are "taking too long" to "re-construct" the country, and who have done almost nothing themsleves), including not only the followers of Muqtada al-Sadr, the frenzied mobs of Fallujah, but also the assorted cheats and charmers (save for the Kurds and the sole Christian among them) making their business deals, who are in the inaptly-named "Governing Council," and that includes the man whom the Americans seem surprised to discover, at this date, is not exactly in their corner, that Baghdadian Vicar of Bray, the thoroughly untrustworthy and corrupt Adnan Pachachi, with his long history of sauve-qui-peut -- why, he predates the 1958 coup, and has been betraying those who count on him for a long time -- employed by Zayed in Abu Dhabi back in 1971, to help prepare the dossier against Saudi Arabia over the frontier question, he was in fact making secret overtures to go over to the Saudi side -- do the Americans know any of this? Do they care to?).

Let the polities of the Muslim world no longer be propped up by the foreign aid of Infidel states, the assurance that their excess populations may migrate, unhindered, to the Bilad al-kufr, and remain serenely self-assured that nothing serious will be done to diminish their oil revenues, which is part of the artificial life support system keeping the moribund Islamic world alive, allowing it to leap from its bed, run down those hospital corridors and down the steps, and out the door, and with enough energy left over, to throw a bomb or two at the perfectly-healthy and sane Infidel passersby, who were suicidally paying for that patient's emergency care.

What you say about the idiocy of trying to bring "democracy" to Iraq cannot be said often enough. Although this costly policy doomed to failure can be ascribed to the present administration, Kerry, a proven turncoat now lurching into a patriotic posture, is ready to let the UN and Germany and France solve the Iraq situation. One idiocy on top of another only compounds the first.

The solution? As you say, Hugh, let 'em have at it.

As for Arafat, what better than the jackals tearing at each other over the carrion he created called "Palestine?"

If Arafat kicks the bucket, that would be good for the kids in the short term. But civil war, like any war, is just more folly; the wrong people are usually the ones who end up suffering. The cop kicks down the door and shoots you because he thinks you're killing your wife. Later the truth comes out: It was just wild sex. Well, nothing can be done after the fact. It was assumed murder was taking place, so it is all okay.) Today when Clark is questioned on the lies about genocide, he says: "We thought a genocide was taking place. So our motives were good."

Q. So Clark and Clinton thought people were being murdered?

A. No, they knew it was a lie. But today they use that excuse to avoid attacks like Bush is getting on WMD in Iraq.

A. First of all, there was proof that Iraq had WMD before the war. Even Clinton said this was a fact! The CIA told Bush there were WMD. And we know Saddam used WMD on his own people. Before Bush went into Iraq, the idea of WMD were simply an idea. There was no proof. When Clinton and Clark claimed there was a genocide, they used one massacre as their proof. So they had something to show for it from day one. LATER it was revealed that the massacare was a lie and that no genocide took place.

Q. So there's proof that there was no genocide and no mass graves. Why doesn't the world stand up in outrage?

A. Because no Americans are being killed in Kosovo. So they consider it a success. No reason to complain if your own people are not being killed daily. Would the Iraq war be debated today if no US soldiers were being killed? Politicans shout in outrage when they see blood. They use it for their own needs. Kosovo didn't kill any US soldiers, so there's nothing more to be said.

Q. Who did the Americans help in Kosovo?

Q. But why didn't the Serbs rise up and fight?

A. Because there are hardly any Serbs left. The Americans helped the KLA drive the Serbs out of Kosovo. Over 250,000 Serbs, Roma, Bosnians, and Jews were driven from Kosovo. Today Kosovo is nearly 97% Albanian. America took one side against the other. The other side is mostly gone. There's no threat when the entire population was on your side.

Q. But in Iraq, ordinary civilians are killing Americans.

A. That's true, but that's because there is no ONE SIDE that feels any loyalty for America. Everyone equally views the Americans as the enemy or problem. In Kosovo, you have a group of people who fear the Serbs will return. So they embrace the American soldiers as protectors. No one wants to kill the Americans and return to Serbian rule.

Q. How could America help ethnically cleanse a part of Europe?

Something odd I want to share.

I have not visited the fateh web site (http://www.fateh.net/) for some time. But I used to be able to see documents in English, including the Fateh Constitution: see articles 12 and 13, as I recall, and the goals of the organization: the cultural, military, economic and political 'obliteration' of Zionism.

But now the web site is in Arabic. There is no English at all. And a google of 'fateh' brings up such sites as 'http://www.fatehworld.org/', a nonprofit organization with a flowery, peace-loving, 'greenie' characterization of an organization that aims for 'world peace'.

Well, check it out for yourself. And if anyone finds an English translation of the Fateh Constition on the web let us know. Just read it. Read all about the goals and bylaws of this supposed 'secular' organization and what it seeks. And remember, the murderer who helped found this stain on the world was actually given a Noble Prize.

So, look for the Fateh Constitution folks. Articles 12 and 13 should be written on Arafat's tombstone (and probably will be in Arabic) but no one will ever utter these statements in English; they seemed to have vanished from the public domain in a language most will understand.

Look Jihad Watchers. Look at the deception, the lies, the 'put on a good face for our European friends' of Fateh, whose leader, a mass murderer, is about to receive a 'happy, love ya' send off by the likes of the BBC and other ridiculous European media outlets. While it's true that Iraq is unlikely to become a Western-style liberal democracy, complete with equal rights for women and non-Muslims, there's a chance that, if things go well, it might turn into something that resembles Kuwait more than it does Iran. Left to the UN, or to the Iraqis themselves, it's almost certain that we'd have Iran 2, but with bigger oil revenues to fuel the global jihad. Iraq as it was, under Saddam, lay somewhere between those two poles, and only time will tell if intervention has made it better or worse. Personally, I would have left Saddam in place, and taken the Saudis down instead.

Discrepancy Found in Explosives Amounts
Oct. 27, 2004 — Iraqi officials may be overstating the amount of explosives reported to have disappeared from a weapons depot, documents obtained by ABC News show.
The Iraqi interim government has told the United States and international weapons inspectors that 377 tons of conventional explosives are missing from the Al-Qaqaa installation, which was supposed to be under U.S. military control.
But International Atomic Energy Agency documents obtained by ABC News and first reported on "World News Tonight with Peter Jennings" indicate the amount of missing explosives may be substantially less than the Iraqis reported.
The information on which the Iraqi Science Ministry based an Oct. 10 memo in which it reported that 377 tons of RDX explosives were missing — presumably stolen due to a lack of security — was based on "declaration" from July 15, 2002. At that time, the Iraqis said there were 141 tons of RDX explosives at the facility.
But the confidential IAEA documents obtained by ABC News show that on Jan. 14, 2003, the agency's inspectors recorded that just over 3 tons of RDX was stored at the facility — a considerable discrepancy from what the Iraqis reported.
The IAEA documents could mean that 138 tons of explosives were removed from the facility long before the start of the United States launched "Operation Iraqi Freedom" in March 2003.
The missing explosives have become an issue in the presidential campaign. Sen. John Kerry has pointed to the disappearance as evidence of the Bush administration's poor handling of the war. The Bush camp has responded that more than a thousand times that amount of explosives or munitions have been recovered or destroyed in Iraq.
Another Concern
The IAEA documents from January 2003 found no discrepancy in the amount of the more dangerous HMX explosives thought to be stored at Al-Qaqaa, but they do raise another disturbing possibility.
The documents show IAEA inspectors looked at nine bunkers containing more than 194 tons of HMX at the facility. Although these bunkers were still under IAEA seal, the inspectors said the seals may be potentially ineffective because they had ventilation slats on the sides. These slats could be easily removed to remove the materials inside the bunkers without breaking the seals, the inspectors noted.
