WASHINGTON - U.S. authorities brought charges Monday against a British man they claim conspired with admitted al-Qaida member Richard Reid to use shoe bombs to blow up planes in midair.A federal grand jury indictment unsealed in Boston charges Saajid Badat, 25, with attempted murder, trying to destroy an aircraft and other counts related to the alleged conspiracy with Reid, who also is a British citizen and Muslim convert.
Reid's attempt to blow up a Paris-to-Miami flight on Dec. 22, 2001, was thwarted by attendants and passengers after he tried to light a fuse leading to the concealed plastic explosives in his sneakers.
According to the indictment, Badat "admitted that he was asked to conduct a shoe bombing like Reid" when he was arrested in Britain last November. Bomb components similar to Reid's -- including an explosive compound known as TATP -- were found at his home, the indictment said.

This attempted "Shoe-i-cide" by Reid was denounced by his Mother as Islamophobia and her Son was innocent because he followed the peaceful
ways of Muhammed and Islam.
Why do we bother with costly Court trials when all we need to do is ask the Mother of these Killers if their Son really did it or is a victim
of Racism and Islamophobia.

QATIF, 5 October 2004 — A Saudi couple got more than they bargained for while out shopping in one of the malls here, Al-Madinah newspaper reported. According to an eyewitness, the wife bought cosmetics worth SR500, which made the husband mad. He kept shouting at her and ended the argument with a slap in her face. Now it was the turn of the wife to get mad at him for slapping her in front of shoppers at the crowded mall. She wanted an instant divorce, saying she would never go home with him. The scene ended when the woman’s brother arrived and took his sister back to their father’s house.
