ONE of Britain’s most prominent Islamic leaders has declared that British troops are a legitimate target for Iraqi militants.Dr Ahmad al-Rawi, an Iraqi-born British passport-holder who has lived in this country for three decades, is one of 93 Islamic international scholars who signed a “bayyan” (declaration) in August supporting uprisings against the “filth of occupation” by both Iraqis and Palestinians. The signatories included five Hamas leaders.
Defending the bayyan last week al-Rawi compared the coalition forces in Iraq with the Nazi invaders of France in 1940. He said: “If they (the British) attack, it’s the right of the civilians to resist the British. Any people who are occupied, they have the right to resist. I prefer it to be peaceful, but if they choose to resist by other means it’s their choice.”Although he would prefer a peaceful overthrow of the occupation, al-Rawi said he could not condemn attacks on coalition forces that have been responsible for many of the deaths of 1,112 American and 69 British soldiers in Iraq.
“My opinion on the occupation is that it is illegal. I couldn’t call the resistance, even military resistance to the occupation, I couldn’t consider it criminal.”
Al-Rawi, who lives in Loughborough, is the president of the Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe (FIOE) which speaks for millions of Muslims belonging to 52 Islamic organisations in 28 countries.

Great idea. However, I tend to believe that a Governemt appointed sniper team picking off some of these racists without notice would tend to calm their attitudes down.
After a couple of these "Muslim Leaders" meet their maker courtesy of a sharpshooter's bullet, things could begin to change with regard to these people thinking that they're free to spew their poison without paying a heavy penalty.

This is actually great news. Because he is a prominent Muslim community leader, his stand by definition, represents the mainstream Muslim position. In the absence of convincing condemnation from his coreligionists, when leaders like this speak up we can indeed interpolate what he says to be applicable to the entire Muslim community.
What he is saying shows that the Muslims in general are incapable of subordinating their loyalty to the Islamic ideology to any non-Muslim national identity and its countrymen.
The implications are disturbingly profound but the sooner the non-Muslim citizens of all states can accept this fact of life, a fact that was self-evident to our ancestors, the sooner can they begin to take the kind of action that all of our non-Muslim forebears girded themselves to take in order to defend the non-Muslim citizenry from the scourge of jihad.
Just as rejection of the Nazi ideology is now the politically correct position in every civilized society, the rejection and containment, by whatever force is necessary, of the Islamic ideology must become the politically correct attitude if we are to have any hope of getting through the next decade with less violence than was unleashed during WWII. Pronouncements of Muslim leaders like al-Rawi makes the job that much easier.
Letter to Families - Dated 19 October 2004
Hello again, after a long hiatus. Last 6 weeks or so have been busy as we worked to establish the new battalions in their areas of operations and worked to get the "old' battalions home. 3/7, 2/7, and 1st LAR are all safely home and on their block leave period. 1/7, 1/23, and 3d LAR have assumed their battle space and continue to perform superbly. The enemy, as e expected, is surging as we approach the U.S. and Iraqi election period and enter Ramadan. Enemy activity in this AO has picked up, to the enemy's etriment. They are not very smart, and when they decide to come out and fight, are easily killed. His patterns remain the same as we saw in April: ove 50-150 terrorists into a city or community, use terror and intimidation to assume control, kill and maim local citizens, get his picture taken with hs RPG and AK-47, then wait to see himself on the evening news.
Interesting side note to ask how often you see pictures of these guys posturing and how often you see pictures of them fighting. Then compare that to how often you see pictures of U.S. servicemen fighting and how often you see pictures of them posturing. Provides a good metric for who is winning this thing: the enemy postures when the cameraman is present, but when it comes to fighting he is the most base of cowards. You don't see many images of these guys fighting because they're too busy hiding or running once the fighting starts. They're much more comfortable beheading innocents. Side note also demonstrates how, with the best of intentions and within the rightful bounds of our constitution, the press becomes unwitting collaborators in the enemy's information operations campaign. This is a
fight for the will of the American and the Iraqi people. He targets the Iraqis through murder and intimidation; he targets you through the images.

an operation in the city of Hit that killed 30 or so terrorists without harming an innocent Iraqi and restored both security and governance to a city taken over by the bastards for a 72 hour period last week. Of greater significance, the 503d Iraqi National Guard Bn fought as the RCT-7 main effort, were the first
ones into the city, and remains there today providing security for the community.
The enemy chased out of Hit moved into the city of Rawah about 50 miles west, TF 1/8 and an Iraqi Army Unit hunted them down there, killed 10-15
more and restored that community to its citizens. In other parts of the AO, Iraqi police and National Guard and Border Police have fought off numerous
attacks on their own...in my mind the most striking example of the progress we continue to make across the AO. The enemy cannot maintain this surge for
long: the Iraqi people are rapidly tiring of him, the Iraqi Security Forces are fighting back, and we are killing them with stunning regularity. He

I cannot understand this article at all. It was poorly written. I'd like to post on other boards but no one I'm afraid would understand the double talk.
I only know that I am bewildered at the British letting these traitors even on their soil. What did our boys fight for in WWII, that someone can come in and advocate overthrow of the government and killing of its servicemen.
The Brits have some explaining to do to the American families whose loved ones fought for and too many died for British freedom.
Was it the freedom to allow in another world wide enemy---ISLAM and nurture them.
Sometimes I feel so dumb; this is one of those times. I know this isn't a classroom, but could someone please explain the rationale behind the leftists' agenda to abolish sovereign states, national unity and national borders; to instill self-hate in all people from Western cultures; to defend the most destructive, repulsive, predatory culture/religion in existence; to destroy Christianity; to destroy Israel; to establish open borders and encourage massive immigration from third world countries that would bankrupt governments; to promote as superior everything antithetical to Western Civilization?
I have a vague conception of their ultimate goal and it is absolutely horrifying. Maybe I'm wrong; maybe they don't really want to create a "brown" world, destroy the white race; establish a worldwide credo of moral/cultural/religious relativism EXCLUDING Christianity and Judaism, which are anathemas and must be completely eradicated. Maybe they don't want to abolish national identity and replace it with---nothing. Maybe they don't want to create anarchy, cultural warfare, civil pandemonium.
One minute I think I have it figured out, and then I'm lost again. Apparently I lack the wisdom to appreciate this agenda. The visionaries who inspired a multiculturalist world were mad, and yet they succeeded in foisting their insanity on unwitting Western nations. If I am not entirely befuddled, the ultimate goal of this bizarre agenda is------world peace. No sovereign nations, no conflicts between nations. Am I close, or am I still completely confused? If I have the slightest comprehension of this social engineering debacle, I find it utterly abhorrent and inimical. But it is so preposterous, could it really be true?

How ironic,last night I saw a Muslim cleric on TV citing the Quran that Islam forbids Muslims from blaming modern people for the sins of the ancestors,and also stated that all Muslims around the world must strive during Ramadan to bring justice to the Palestinians as Muslim brother that suffer under the Israeli occupation.
So all Israelis are guilty for any attack on a Muslim,yet no Muslim should be held responsible for the actions of Jihadists and Islamists beheading Gods children for Allah.
Wasn't this how the Nazis justified their quest for global domination,one world ruled by one leader and no more Jews on earth.
A recent comment by a Muslim in Canada was that all Israelis over 18 were valid targets for killing by suicide bombers because of the draft system in Israel,he stated there are no innocent civilians over 18 and Islam allows Muslims to attack them as a military target as part of a Palestinian resistance to occupation .
As of today the man is still the President of the Islamic org and there is a widespread support by Muslims to defend his right to free-speech.
There was also a large scale outrage by Muslims in Canada when a clothing store posted a picture of Bush and Osama wearing one of their winter hats,mocking Bush was OK,but Osama was a Muslim
and this was offensive to Islam and Allah.
So forcing women to cover themselves isn't oppressive but a picture of a Muslim terrorist
with a hat incited threats of violence and protest by Canadian Muslims.

That’s supposed to make President Bush look like a fool and a bully who invades and overthrows a shady-but-innocent bystander on unfounded suspicion.
Let’s see. If police corner a suspect they want to question and the uncooperating suspect pulls a metal object abruptly out of his pocket, causing police bullets to fly, it will not help the multiply pierced suspect when the object turns out to have been merely a flashlight. Having what is obviously a flashlight in your hand when police call you over is another matter. That will not excuse a hail of police bullets. DRAWING a flashlight in a menacing manner while refusing to cooperate will.
And Saddam Hussein had a well-established history of “drawing” more than flashlights. He “drew” and used chemical weapons against Iran and his own Kurds. He attacked Iran and swallowed Kuwait. He shot at our planes in the No-Fly Zone he had agreed to respect. He had a (French-built) facility working on nuclear weapons at Osirak before Israeli planes turned it into a smoking crater in 1981. He was beyond bad.
Given Saddam’s history, whosoever did NOT conclude that his Iraq was bristling with WMD would be ignoring Saddam’s proven history of the appetite and aptitude to acquire them. Hate Bush all you please, but he was right to assume Saddam had WMD and wanted nothing more than to see them used someday, somehow, by somebody against America.
And we hear “There’s no connection between Saddam and al-Qaida!”
Prior to 9/11 that would have been a great argument. But President Bush did not invade Iraq prior to 9/11. “No connection” doesn’t hack it POST 9/11.
A president who doesn’t consider the likelihood of an EVENTUAL collaboration between Osama bin Laden and the richest, best-armed, and by far most America-hating Islamic dictator is not fit to lead this nation. Saddam had much more reason (Desert Storm) to hate America than did bin Laden (who we helped in Afghanistan against the Soviet Union).
Then we hear “Iraq presented no threat to the United States.”
Iceland presented no threat to America in March 1941, but we occupied Iceland nonetheless to keep it out of the hands of the Nazis, and everybody thought it was a great idea. If Hitler had beat us to Iceland, his already catastrophic submarine success against us in the Atlantic would have escalated and he could have bombed America’s East Coast cities and industries with World War II aircraft.
Other malicious mantras that drive my eyes upward include “America is paying 90 percent of the cost of the war in treasure and lives.” (Strange that Sen. Kerry always seems to put “treasure” before “lives” in that complaint. Someone should whisper to him.)
I lived every day of World War II and never heard anybody say pea-turkey about the cost of the war or what percentage of that cost America was paying. Defending ourselves after being brutally attacked was the objective then, an objective I fail to find dissimilar to our legitimate objective of today.
So far no Democrats have actually stood up and cheered when American troops fall in battle. Give them credit for that modicum of discipline. It’s a poorly kept secret, however, that rising American casualties are entered into Democratic political accounting ledgers as “good news.”
If GOP presidential candidate Thomas E. Dewey had had that attitude when he ran against President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1944, he would have had tens of thousands MORE bits of “good news” to chortle about on his bloody ledger. Such a mindset was beyond unspeakable in American politics then; even beyond unthinkable.
It’s perfectly understandable that Kerry supporters would try to prevent the TV showing of anti-Kerry documentaries on broadcast TV this close to the election. What is unconscionable, however, are Democratic Party efforts to play down the evils of Saddam Hussein.
They’re trying, and they’re having a strange kind of success. Are you aware of the recent uncovering of new and more extensive mass graves in Iraq – Holocaust-clear testimony to the evil of Saddam Hussein? These shocking findings are getting about as much attention in pre-election American mass media as would the uncovering of a new cache of Indian arrowheads near Gaffney, S.C.
Does anybody miss the point? The more Americans learn about the full measure of Saddam’s evil, the more justifiable becomes America’s “unilateralist” thrust to take him out.
Meanwhile I have to endure the rave reviews of Michael Moore’s “Fahrenheit 9/11” and what a swell case it makes against the Bush administration! With all of its lying defects, if “Fahrenheit 9/11” were an airplane, the FAA would never permit takeoff. But it’s NOT an airplane. It’s part of free-speech America and it sells and sails, soars and roars.
The U.N. – the Parliament of Mankind, no less – passes 17 resolutions aimed at the worst dictator on Earth. Saddam returns them all unopened. Nobody in the Parliament of Mankind gets upset. Then America goes in, throws him out, liberates his people and makes sure that no matter what weapons he has, they will not be used to harm others. Thereupon the U.N. and Hollywood and the faculty and the clergy and the Democrats and the major media accuse AMERICA of being the troublemaker!

Agree with you totally- this has to be the way forward: it's practicable and attainable, and provides a way for PC politicians to feel good about joining the anti-jihad.
I would like to see legal actions brought against use of the Koran in the US, UK and other western countries on the grounds that it promotes racial and religious intolerance and hatred, and mandates violence against ALL non-muslims. Such actions might be launched by wealthy individuals or organizations with financial support.
Whether such actions would be successful in legal terms I don't know (results might be different from country to country), but well-publicized court cases would certainly expose the truth about islamic intolerance and jihad to the unsuspecting public in a very powerful and effective way.
