BAGHDAD, Iraq - (KRT) - Iraq's largest group of Sunni Muslim clerics ordered their followers Wednesday to boycott January's parliamentary elections if American forces don't break off their military campaign in the flash-point city of Fallujah, which is now ringed by U.S. Marines and besieged by daily aerial bombardment.Gathering from across northern and western Iraq at the Umm al Qura mosque outside Baghdad, the clerics in the Muslim Scholars Association, whose followers make up 35 percent of Iraq's population, called on Arab leaders throughout the Middle East to condemn U.S. actions in Fallujah and "end their silence, which brings frustration and anger." They ruled that Iraqis have a religious duty to fight American-led forces, according to a statement issued from the mosque.
"The esteemed clerics bless the Fallujah sons for their jihad and patience," the statement read, invoking the Arabic word often translated as "holy war."
When are our politicians and media going to wake up to the fact that the "resistance" in Iraq is all about jihad and muslim intolerance and very little to do with nationalism. Until someone in power admits this then the Western public will continue to have mixed feelings about the situation there. We are fighting fascism in the form of islam - if we lose in Iraq then our task in stopping the global jihad is going to be made 100 times more difficult. Let's call the enemy what it is - islam.
Islam does not recognize nationalism. A vote for clerical rule would be the only permitted vote as much as the Soviets only permitted their candidates to be on the ballot. For some reason only a tiny number of people in the West understand this concept.

Why aren't the Mullahs condemning the violence being perpetrated against the occupying forces and any civilians deemed to be assisting them,instead of decrying the bombarding of the terrorists in Fallujah who are doing everything they can to subvert efforts to rebuild the country and prepare for open and fair elections?
Could it be that they are so terrified of losing the control they have enjoyed, the benefits they received under the old regime to the detriment of the people whose interests they allegedly serve?
The mess we see in Iraq today is the result of decades of secular despotism and intolerance that was preceded by centuries of theocratic despotism and intolerance, and not by the overthrow of a disgustingly brutal and corrupt regime. And oh yes, credit should also go to the western governments and corporations who opposed Saddam's removal because they were benefiting from Saddam's various kick-back schemes.
I do not believe that, given a choice, ANY rational human being prefers to be kept ignorant and impoverished at the hands of despots of any religious, ethnic or political stripe.

How about getting school boards to include the Quran in the cirriculum as a "great work of literature" with special emphasis on poet assasination, caravan raiding, epileptic fits, abrogation (the kids'll get a kick out of that one), etc. This could all be done under the invincible armor of PC-inclusiveness and "diversity".

Charles Duelfer told the Senate Armed Services Committee earlier this month he could not rule out Saddam's transfer of Iraqi missiles and weapons of mass destruction to Syria.
Duelfer, an adviser to the CIA, said at the Oct. 6 hearing that a large amount of material had been transferred by Iraq to Syria before the March 2003 war.
"A lot of materials left Iraq and went to Syria," Duelfer said. "There was certainly a lot of traffic across the border points. We've got a lot of data to support that, including people discussing it. But whether in fact in any of these trucks there was WMD-related materials, I cannot say."
The Iraq Survey Group, headed by Duelfer, said Russia, Syria, Jordan and other arms suppliers were paid from Iraqi oil revenues.
A CIA report, authored by the Iraq Survey Group, identified Russia and Syria atop a list of 12 arms suppliers to Iraq until the U.S.-led war against Baghdad started in March 2003.
The report listed Russia and Syria above North Korea — regarded as the leading missile proliferator to the Middle East — as leading suppliers to Baghdad.
Jordan was the third largest supplier of weapons to Iraq.
After Jordan came Belarus, China, India, North Korea, South Korea, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Ukraine, France, Romania and Turkey. The report said these countries were involved in both "weapons of mass destruction and arms-related procurement."
The report said Saddam diverted money from the UN oil-for-food program to pay for both conventional and nonconventional weapons and components.
The report said state-owned companies in Russia and Syria defied UN sanctions and supplied weapons and platforms to Baghdad. The report said Syria also served as the leading route for illegal arms supplies from Europe and other countries.
Several of Iraq's neighbors were said to have joined in the secret military effort to aid Baghdad. The report — based on interviews with senior Iraqi officials and 40 million pages of documents and classified intelligence — cited Jordan and Turkey as leading suppliers to the Saddam regime

You misunderstand me, I don't mean to have some PC lefty TEACH the kids the quran. I mean have the ENTIRE book as a take-home assignment like Tom Sawyer. Grade 10s read the book and write a paper on the big Mo. Idiot tachers might try to put a spin on it, but I can't see any reasonable 15-16 year old reading that book and not coming away horrified. This is English Lit class, grading will be about sentence structure, comprehension, and spelling.

I completely agree that there are better books to teach kids about Islam, makes my head hurt wondering why allah would need to dictate the same frikkin sentence to Mo 5 times in 1 page and contradict himself on the next (sorry - "abrogate" himself).
It's just that I think it HAS to be the ENTIRE quran as an at-home literature assignment. Muslims spend half their waking lives arguing over which sunnah or ahadith is authentic (the other half dreaming of jihad). The only book they just about ALL agree on is the "holy" quran. Any attempt to teach a book that was written by someone other than Mo (and said some disparaging things) would be met with accusations of slanted journalism, western lies, attack on Islam, etc.
But none of them can ever complain (at least openly:) about us letting our kids read their most holy and perfect book. And the lefties would have nothing to wring their hands over. It would just be spreading the unadulterated truth about the great religion of Islam.
By demanding that Iraqis boycott the upcoming elections, mankind's Sunni friends are ensuring that Iraqis boycott any claims they might have towards a more humane, enlightened future.
Don't be fooled. Here's the true goal of the Sunni clerics of Iraq: to keep Islam in total control of Iraq and its people.

Maybe the truth about the Quran should be taught instead: Your so-called perfect book the so-called Qur'an is a fraud. A mosque was unearthed at Hazor, Palestine during the 1950s-and it's 3000 years old. It contains crescent moons, statues of Al-lah and his three daughters, references to Ramadan (which celebrates the harvest moon). In other incarnations, Al-lah was Ba-al and al-ilat. Islam has been around for over 3000 years. Islam was not founded by Muhammed. The Quran was not written by Muhammed either --it didn't show up til at least 700AD. The Arabs are lying about this, and they are well aware of it. Islam cannot come from the Quran if it predates it by over fifteen hundred years. What Islam comes from in fact is human sacrifice cults that were prevalent across the Middle East for thousands of years. That is where its violence and killing, totalitarianism, warfare and perfect cruelty and barbarism come from. The Qur'an probably was written to palm off all this as Judeo-Christianism or Abrahmic-ism, and to begin the process of eating the remainder of humanity--one murder, one war at a time. THIS PAL IS WHAT MUST BE TAUGHT ABOUT THE QUR'AN.
p.s.--You might also want to have taught in schools that much of the Quran was stolen from the TOrah and Old Testament, too.

The mess in Iraq now is because the "insurgency" is doing it's damndest to prevent the elections , because they know a democratic Iraq, where everyone has a new brighter and freer future to look forward to, will spell the end for corrupt and brutal dictators and their regimes, and islamic absolutism. And they also know it will be a massive blow to islamic jihad in general, as the rest of the islamic world will begin to see that the US and it's allies are not the enemies, but the extremists who attempt to thwart all the coalitions attempts at making the world a better place and wiping out the filth who try at every interval to disrupt or prevent world peace,secularism, or democracy.
They will see the benefits, and freedom to be had in a democracy, and people will start to realise that is their demonic ,oppressive religion itself that is and always has been the problem.
Iraq was never safe, everyone was scared to death of Saddam, thats why no-one dared try to top his regime, and no insurgency was needed as he was a muslim, not an "infidel occupier".
Iraq, may by a lot more violent at present, thats because there's a war you fool, but the insurgency (terrorists in my opinion) are keeping this fight going and preventing our troops from an exit strategy.
Half of them aren't even iraqis, and those that are are terrorists, with only chaos as their agenda.

I have formed People for Peace Group especially with the Care International, October 23, 2004 to show our support for the immediate release of Margaret Hassan, who heads CARE International work in Iraq. She was kidnapped in Baghdad on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 as she was heading to work at CARE International.
Hassan has joint British, Irish and Iraqi citizenship and has spent nearly half her life delivering food and medicine in Iraq. Join us in asking that she be returned to her loved ones "in the most sacred Islamic month."
Join us in also Warning the hostage takers that their action of kidnapping and harming civilians aid workers is against the Teaching of the Prophet Muhammed and is forbidden in the Quran.
People for Peace Group which I founded in Rome, Italy will now be also using this new Care International site to organize world support to free Margaret Hassan a real Angel of Mercy. Please join our call to ask her hostage takers to show her mercy. They have to remember they should fear Allah, because they have to know hostage taking and harming of people of mercy like Mrs. Margaret Hassan is forbidden in the Quran.
Allah will one day judge them on their actions and if they harm Mrs. Margaret Hassan certainly they will be punished in the fire of Hell, wherein where they shall dwell forever and ever.

Presently I am working to ending the present Iraqi "Civil" War by teaching through our faith in Allah by work together is the only way to bring peace to the Middle East.
My present editorial campaign is to inform the world and especially the militant insurgents and extremists in Iraq that these edicts or fatwa published by spiritual leaders or religious scholars are false doctrines. The Prophet Muhammad taught that the Quran was the infallible Word of Allah and the Quran is complete and edicts can not be added to the Quran.
The Prophet taught that choosing the scholars or the dictionary over Allah reflects a disbelief in Allah and His word (Quran) " They have set up their religious leaders and scholars as lords; instead of Allah.."9:31 " So after the truth (Quran ), what else can thee be, save error?" Quran 10:32 These edicts are blaspheme against Allah and the Prophet Muhammad taught to follow these edicts or fatwa is evil.
If a kidnapper uses these edicts of fatwa for example cut the head off a hostage aid worker; the Holy Quran, guarantees punishment, "In the fires of Hell, wherein they shall dwell forever."
Just as important suicide bombers I am warning that the Quran taught any person who intentionally kills themselves, "they certainly will be punished in the fire of Hell, wherein they shall dwell forever and ever."

WE WILL NOT FORGET HER AND WE PRAY THAT OUR PRAYERS WILL BE ANSWERED; AND SHE WILL BE ABLE TO RETURN TO HER IMPORTANT WORK HELPING HER IRAQI PEOPLE AND TO ONCE AGAIN BE WITH HER LOVED ONES.
