The Frankfurt Book Fair this year is reaching out to Arabs; in doing so, it has reeled in more than a few Muslim radicals. From Wadinet.de, with thanks to Omo:
Would the German Chancellor Schroeder show himself in public with a Holocaust-Denier like David Irving? Would he seek a dialogue with him?Last Tuesday has proven that he has at least not that great fear of contact with these kind of people.
After Chancellor Schoeder held a speech at the opening event of this year Book Fair in Frankfurt, the notorious Mohammad Salmawy delivered a greeting message of Nobel Prize Winner Nagib [Mahfouz], who was not able to visit the Book Fair. This year’s guest of honour at the book fair is the Arab League. In advance a variety of Right’s organization expressed their outrage about the fact, that the Fair was planned together with the Arab League, representing Governments in the Arab World, who are all accused of a wide range abuse of Human Rights, promotion of anti-Semitic publications and even Terrorist activities.
Since years it is well known, that Mohammed Salmawy, editor of the French magazine Al Ahram Hebdo, publicly denies the Holocaust and praises Suicide Bombers in Israel. Al Ahram Hebdo is property of the Egyptian government.
He wrote in that magazine: “There are no findings to indicate the existence of mass graves, because the size of the ovens makes it impossible for many Jews to have been killed there. According to the lists presented by the Soviets to the Germans, no more than 70,000 Jews were registered as having been at Auschwitz."
These statements are not something to wonder about, because Mr. Salmawy becomes committed to the French Holocaust-denier Roger Garaudy, who was the former Chief Ideologue of the French Communist Party before he converted to Islam. In an article “Cherchez les Juifs” (Searching for the Jews) Salmawy published in Al Ahram, he defended British Holocaust-Denier David Irving.
The deportation of the German Jews to the Eastern Europe was welcomed by Salmawy. He stated that “the Germans had no choice but to load the Jews onto trains and deport them to the East, because they were underdeveloped and a burden to the German economy…”

Ha! Now there's the pot calling the kettle black. Underdeveloped? Jews? Burden to the economy? Jews? LOL! I'd take 100 Jews over 1 Muslim any day. At least the Jews aren't have 8 kids at my expense while their dad whines about racism and bigotry from his host country and plotting our demise.
The truly scary thing is that this kind of teaching seeps into the national school curricula...it is already happening here in France, partially because of the pervasive posture of dhimmitude adopted by the French bureaucracy. Slowly but surely knowledge of the holocaust is being eclipsed among the young. "Those who do not know the past are condemned to repeat it".
So, by that logic, Europe would be justified in deporting all those backwards, underdeveloped, burdensome Muslims back to the sandpits they crawled out of?
Not holding my breath.
Forgetting about the Holocaust and hating Israel and Jews for supposed 'injustices' against Palestinians are paths of least resistance for many in Europe, I think. Forget about the Holocaust, there are more important things, like peace. And peace means appeasement of Islamic fascism, thinking the best of 'Islam' as a 'religion of peace' that simply needs 'integration' and 'understanding'; and teaching Israel the lessons its deserves; and remembering, colonialism, the abuses of imperial Europe and capitalism: dhimmmi self-hate, "must be our fault boss..."
Irony, and more irony, these are not paths to peace but utter denial of peace; these are the ways to the complete obliteration of everything, all values held by European liberals. Islam does not want peace, unless that peace is the peace of Islam.
Europe trods along steadily toward another catastrophe...

It was just this past Spring that a Imam from a Mosque made a very scary statement that remined me of a dictator from the 1930's.
The Mosque was raising money for a Al-Qaeda family that came to Canada to get free health care
since they still kept their Canadian passports for returning as refugee's.
A petition was set up to have the Government revoke their Citizenships and stop them using the tax-funded medical system,the Imam claimed that
"Non-Muslims are a far worse burden on social programms that Muslims" and also said the Muslims at the Mosque are supporting the Family and aren't on welfare taking tax money.
With Imam's like this in Canada it looks like Hitlers eugenic plan to rid the world of those that are a financial burden and consume food that could go to the healthy.
For someone representing Islam,he actual believed there was nothing wrong with saying that the infidel's are burders to Muslim Nations,the
idea of Non-Muslims being a drain to the system makes me wonder what happens when they become the majority and take power.
Will people be judged by their costs of keeping alive or housing them without any contributions
to the Fatherland.

Some info on Garaudy, the grandaddy of Holocaust deniers that Vidal-Nacquet called an assassin of memory
'Another cause célèbre among Holocaust deniers widely discussed on the Internet involved French Holocaust denier Roger Garaudy. On February 27, 1998, a French court found 84-year-old Garaudy guilty of violating a law that prohibits the questioning of crimes "against humanity." Also convicted for "racial defamation," he was fined 240,000 francs (roughly $40,000). These judgments stemmed from claims made in his 1995 book The Founding Myths of Israeli Politics, in which he denied that the Holocaust occurred, saying that Jews under Nazi control died of starvation and disease, not poison gas.
Significantly, Garaudy, a convert to Islam, received support during the trial from anti-Semitic Muslims in the Middle East. On January 19, 1998, about 70 Palestinian professors, journalists, and religious leaders protested in front of a French cultural center in support of Garaudy. The Islamic Human Rights Commission, an Iranian activist group, and Al-Khaleej, a United Arab Emirates newspaper, also defended Garaudy.
In their efforts to win support for Garaudy, both in the Middle East and elsewhere, Holocaust deniers employed the worldwide reach of the Internet to spread their message. During the trial, a Web site entitled Support Garaudy was created by the "Garaudy Support Committee." The site, which was registered in the Persian Gulf nation of Qatar, is available in Arabic and French as well as English, clearly indicating the deniers' desire to reach Arab and European readers. It portrays "Rajaa Garaudy" as an "international French Muslim thinker" who is "standing alone in the face of the Zionist arrogance."

holocaust denial is a crime in germany, unless of course you are a muslim.
Well, Muslims are experts at lying. Afterall their book tells them it's a good thing to do when it benefits or advances their cult - taqiyya. Holocaust denial is lying. And in this case, it benefits them because it puts those dastardly Jews they hate so much in a bad light. Turns more people against Jews, encourages anti-Semitism, and gets them allies (useful idiots) in their quest to eliminate Jews.
It's astounding that a "religion" can have such long-lasting vitriole against another religion, and nobody stops and says "enough already, that was in the past, let's move on". Shows how backward and failed Islam is. It can never move on. It continues to live in the 7th Century, and insists on dragging the rest of us there.
Like Christopher Hitchens, Willaim Shawcross (Yes, the liberal who wrote "Sideshow," a condemnation of Kissinger's role in SE Asia) has come out strongly in favor of Bush's policy in Iraq. He also astutely referred to Schroeder as "Germany's worst president."
I don't necessarily believe that Schroeder is anti-Jewish, but I think he will do anything to cater to the "sentiment du mode." Didn't he win the last election on an anti-American platform? What a jellyfish!

THANK YOU for copying the posted list of e-addresses to various messages and for nominating Hugh - :) to format a letter (he was my choice too! ;).
Rather than wait or let this issue fade off the board, I suggest we individually write to the addresses for now.
If a formatted letter does get posted - there is no harm in sending another batch as per the adage - there is strength in numbers!
