Disaffected youth and marginalized individuals are more likely to perpetrate anti-Semitic attacks than those with ties to the Palestinian cause or neo-Nazi groups, as Jewish groups have charged, according to an anti-Semitism report France released Tuesday.The study "shows that the link with the Middle East conflict is the most misleading or is constructed through false reasoning or exaggerated representation," according to remarks made by Interior Minister Dominique de Villepin released with the report he commissioned....
Jewish leaders welcomed the report as an indication of French resolve – often criticized as lacking – in fighting the resurgence of anti-Semitism. But they took issue with the report's finding that "only a small proportion of [perpetrators] are North African [or] originate from a country that has links with the Arab-Israeli conflict."
"It's a fact" that many of those who have been prosecuted for attacks on French Jews have Arab or Muslim backgrounds, according to European Jewish Congress secretary-general Serge Cwajgenbaum, who attributed the downplaying partly to politics.
"For many reasons one doesn't want to antagonize some communities," he said.
He also noted that the increase in anti-Semitic attacks is due to a larger array of perpetrators, decreasing the relative proportion of Arab and Muslim actors.
"Anti-Semitism has spread out and become a social element," he said.
The line between Neo-Nazis and Islamists is blurred as they have the same ambition: to kill and eliminate Jews.

No, one certainly doesn't, does one? But is one aware that one is increasingly antagonising one's own non-muslim community, or does one even care?
France, the country which surrended it's own capitol city to the nazis, without even firing a shot, lest it's precious architecture and cultural treasures in the Louvre etc were destroyed, now doesn't seem to care about even that.
Perhaps we will be able to snap up all those fabulous paintings and sculptures at a bargain price, when that particular community starts objecting to the presence of graven images which are an insult to the only faith allowed.
Poor poor France, so cultured yet so afraid, the demands will never stop, until they've all been met.
So I take it that all the Police reports showing assaults on Jews by followers of Islam
were fake,the fire bombings of Jewish Temples
were also a hoax.
How ironic,leaders fear violence from the violent and in order to appease them that they're really peaceful, the leaders absolve them from responsibility to the attacks and blame some unknown group that doesn't appear in assault
reports.
The french intellectuals so busy in protecting the purity of its language from America and the Anglo saxons were more outraged by words such as “le weekend” or “le sandwich” or “le hamburger” that it hardly paid attention to its Islamisation.
Its dislike of American culture and American politics since the Gaulish days of post WW, led it to make it's eager alliances with the arab world in its desire to secure oil supplies and distance itself from America.
Such alliances were reinforced by its collective guilt of its imperialist transgression in the north African continent. A guilt which formed the core of its intellectual left policy towards Islam.
Such was the glory of french culture that foreigners had indeed flocked to France to experience it for centuries.
Even its cuisine, its boulangeries, its haute couture were elevated to an art form by its protagonists . indeed living in france was itself an art form.
So is it any wonder that the french held their culture in such high regard that they believed that any newcomers would be seduced by it and eventually accept and conform to it.
It was France’s monumental culture which caused it’s blindness to its Islamisation.
How could anybody not be seduced by its wonderful art museums its glorious literature, its magnificent buildings its savoir vivre ?
Had not the Russian Immigrant fleeing the ravages of communism become distinguished french citizens, and the Vietnamese refugees, and the polish communities or the Eastern Christians who had fled the persecution of Islam.
So France opened its gates to Islamic immigration, welcoming a new wave of people who would embrace their culture and be grateful for the largesse of their hosts.
Those who warned of the consequences were silenced by cries of racism or fascism and were associated with the far right who were infested with anti-Semites, holocaust deniers and homophobes
Those who pointed out that Islam has never coexisted peacefully as a minority in any culture were silenced and told that islam is a religion of peace.
When Boumedienne boasted in 1974 at the UN that millions of Muslims would venture north as warriors of islam and would conquer it with the wombs of Islamic women , who paid attention ?
Even The reporting of such a statement would have brought cries of racism from the french intellectual left and its media.
And yet it was about this time that the persecution and slaughter of Middle eastern Christian took a new impetus. Yet again even the reporting of this was virtually banned in the french media.
Whenever such atrocities were reported they would invariably be blamed on Israel not on the jihadists. The political doctrine that the elimination of israel from the map of the middle east would solve the problems of Islamic jihad was at the core of left wing thinking.
The Christian communities joined in the lambasting of israel and even praised their persecutors in the hope that this would calm them down and stop further attacks.
So as far as the french were concerned, any attacks by muslims on eastern Christians were the fault of israel and Islam was exonerated of any blame.
When the massacre at Shatila occurred the same mind set was applied in France.
Although thousends of maronite Christians were at the time seeking refuge from persecution in france, their genocide by Araft's PlO and the Syrians was sub judice.
The PlOs nebulous roots in leftism were enough to grant them immunity from criticism.
Shatila was a jihad training camp attented by international terror groups such as the red brigade , leila khaled ,carlos etc. But was refered to as a refugee camp in the Fremch press .
Because of the writings of journalists such as Fisk and Chomsky it has been remembered whilst the beheadings and rapes of thousands of Christian lebanese are long forgotten.
The PLO murdered some 200,000 lebanese in a country that had given them sanctuary. BUT Who has heard of the massacres at Damour,Aintoura and Mtein .
And so it went on in the yougoslav peninsula, only the killing of muslims raised the eyebrows of the french press.
These are indeed a prime example of the conspiracy of silence surrounding the brutality of islamic Jihad both by the victims of the brutality and by the western presses' non reporting of Islamic ethnic cleansing.
And surely what helps to promote antisemitism is the steady campaign of vilification of Israel, the decades of misreporting about the relentless Jihad against Israel, and the promotion of every myth, from that of the "ancient Palestinian people" to that of Israeli brutality.
Who made sure that Peroncel-Hugoz, after he wrote Le radeau de Mahomet (you can buy it used, Englished as "The Raft of Mohammed" -- well worth whatever it costs), would no longer report on the Middle East for Le Monde, but would be prevented from doing so? Who keeps Alain Meinargues, that antisemite, in power as the head of RFI, the station one can hear in the United States, 7-9 a.m., in certain areas? Who has promoted Tariq Ramadan in the press? What keeps the likes of Jean Daniel at Le Nouvel Observateur or the baby Daniel now adding her nonsensical mite? Who prevents mockery of the poseur Dominique de Villepin? Who prevents open discussion of Chirac's mysterious little monthly visits from Rafik Hariri, no doubt delivering the wherewithal for Chirac to pay for those necessary bouts with three call-girls at one time? Why do the French not know of Chirac's Muslim grandchild? Why do they not know of his receipt of a jewel-encrusted falcon from Arab admirers, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, nearly 25 years ago? Why does the French public not know the real figures on immigration, or on the differential in Muslim and non-Muslim birthrates, so that the truth is being completely hidden? Why are crime figures broken down into Muslim and non-Muslim not published? Why, in short, is everything done to protect the Muslim image, and to protect those who are French political servants of the Jihad, bought and paid for, and at the same time to blacken, throughout the press, the image of Israel and of Jews (again, google "Alain Meinargues" and "RFI" or "Radio France International" for more on this French version of John Simpson, head of the BBC World Service).
