TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- Iran has produced "a few tons" of the gas needed to enrich uranium, a top nuclear official said Wednesday, confirming the country has defied international demands and taken a necessary step toward producing nuclear fuel - or nuclear weapons.Uranium hexafluoride gas is the material that, in the next stage, is fed into centrifuges used to enrich uranium. Now a little history.... When America was attacked by the Japanese in Pearl Harbor, we were currently negotiating with them. We were trying to get them to leave China, which at that point in 1941 they had already killed more than 1 million Chinese, because they had invaded China in 1933. We were suppling them with oil, in a treaty agreement to keep them from harming any close countries. Using negotiations that they were faking and trying to buy time (sounds like North Korea, Iraq)they prepared a naval invasion. We had stopped shipping them oil and they were running out, but all they had to do was quit killing the Chinese and the oil would be shipped. They were imperialist and wanted to expand the Rising Sun empire.
When they attacked on Dec 7, 1941, they did so under the veil of peace and negotiations with out declaring war. This was not the first time that the Japanese had done this. In history the Japanese had done this exact tactic of negotiating and while appearing to see progress, have their navy attack the opponents naval fleet, without declaring war. The Russians were the country prior to Pearl Harbor that this happened to, in a previous war.
As we approached the main island of Japan in the final days of WWII, the Emporior told the millions of Japanese that for the honor of Japan every man, woman and child had to fight to the death. As the Japanese country prepared to fight to the death, the American President realized if we invaded the main island of Japan the war would be hand to hand. The war could go on for years, millions of Japanese and Americans and allies would die. So he did what he could.
He contacted the Emporior and said "we have the ability to take out large areas of Japan with new technology. In order to save millions of Japanese and Amercians, surrender". The Emporior said "no".
