TABA, Egypt - Israel's intelligence chief on Friday blamed al-Qaida for the bombings at resorts in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula that officials said killed at least 28 people, including many Israelis celebrating a Jewish holiday, and wounded more than 100.The Israeli intelligence chief, Maj. Gen. Aharon Zeevi-Farkash, blamed the bombings on Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida terrorist network at an emergency Cabinet meeting. Egyptian government spokesman Magdy Rady said it was too early to speculate.
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's office said he and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak agreed by telephone that they must fight terrorism together.
That will be interesting. I wonder if Mubarak will rein in the boys at Al-Azhar. Somehow I doubt it.
Israel should take revenge by carpet-bombing the Gaza Strip. When Syria was threatened by Islamic terrorists from the Muslim Brotherhood in 1982, her response was to level the city of Hama which was a Brotherhood stronghold. In the process 20,000 terrorists and terrorist sympathizers were killed. Ever since, no terrorist organization has dared to attack Syria despite the secular nature of the government and fact that one tribe of only 12% of the population, the Alawites, controls the country.
Israel should follow the Syrian example and level Gaza city. This will help deter terrorist attacks. And, after all, what does Israel have to lose? The Arabs already want to wage genocide, what more can they do?

The matter was kinda hushed up and received press attn only for a coupla days sort of.
This was on BBC Radio 1 news earlier, and the reporter mentioned something about all arabs have been force out of the area or something, can anyone else confirm this???

Violetti: Are you sure you are not thinking of Jordan, rather than Syria? IIRC, there was a plot by the Zarqawi group to basically decapitate the government of Jordan by a mass WMD attack using chemical weapons. It was aborted by the Jordanians just in time. Had it taken place, something like 80,000 people might have been killed by clouds of poison gas in Amman.

How could this be,with Ramadan coming up no Muslim would do such a thing since it's against the Quran to bomb a hotel ocupied by Jewish vacationers during their Holy period.
I always hear Imam's claiming Jews, Christians and Muslims have the same God and are related
according to the Quran,the Quran also forbids hijacking airplanes and flying them into buildings.

This pisses me off because every time now that the terrorist do someting to Israel there is some beheading or something to make think nothing is happening well I feel for mr.Bigly but 30 dead for haveing a holiday is worse!!

So-called 'al Qaeda' has made it very clear that as an organization it wages a war of extermination against 'Jews'; and that is what this is in part, an attempt just to kill Jews.
I have not heard the jihadist motive of 'genocide' mentioned once in the media; and, of course, no one will relate al Qaeda's objective to remarks from Mahatir's that Muslims must defeat 'Jews' in a global struggle (only using different means). This is in the center of the jihadist thinking, and no one will speak the words: Jew hatred, blood lust for genocide, etc.

Anyhow, re Saddam's WMDs being in Syria, why the Bush administration that is being battered because WMDs weren't found in Iraq doesn't bring that up is beyond me.
Difficult to understand is the apparent refusal of many Israelis to recognize that they are at war with the Arabs. The fault lies with the Israeli givernment. Sharon declared that he would not take the nation to war. What more did he want? Regular armies with tanks and all marching against Israel as they did many times before?
Why this is important is that the US is facing the same kind of war as Israel. This must be recognized by the people of both countries.
The US warned its citizens to get out of Saudi Arabia because they had intelligence of terrorist acts against foreigners in that country. Unfortunately there were those that felt they had a better understanding of the situation than their own government.
Israel warned its citizens not to go into Egypt. There are apparently sufficient resorts with similar attractions on the Israeli side. Israelis, mostly young people, ignored the warning and went into Egypt's Sinai. They acted as if the danger from the Moslem Arabs was something that did not concern them.
Both, Israelis and Americans must come to terms with the fact that there are jihadists out to kill as many of them as they can. This is the war that jihadists are waging. If a couple of them die while taking out dozens on the other side, they see it as a victory. If a couple dozen jihadists give up their lives and kill thousands as they did in New York on 9-11-01, they also see that as winning a battle.
Had the vacationing Israelis heeded the warning of their government, it would not have been as easy for the jihadist terrorists to kill and maim them.
Of course, had Israel not exchanged the Sinai for a ceasefire (there is no peace between the two countries) between it and Egypt, security there would have been much tighter than in an Arab country that has no love for Israel and its people.
