A discreet and effective way of raising not insignificant sums. And of attracting, alongside innocent customers, a clientele of Islamists only too happy to be combining the chance to save some money with an act of militancy. A practice being closely watched by the police and intelligence services who are also looking at other shops, including food stores, that are bled systematically by the extremists.

Greece to Vote on Saudi-Funded Islamic Center
Greek Parliament will vote next week on a bill for the long-delayed construction of a Saudi-funded Islamic center and mosque in Athens, the capital’s first since the end of Ottoman rule. The Greek government has set aside some 35,000 square meters of land in the town of Peania, about 20 km north of the city center and near Athens Airport. The project, funded by Saudi Arabia together with some Arab and Islamic countries, will be the largest Islamic center project and the first in Greece, which is home to more than half a million Muslims.
This Islamic center, on completion, will cater for the growing number of Muslim immigrants including those from Egypt, Palestine and Albania. Thousands of Saudis and Gulf nationals also travel to Greece, mainly for business, ever year. Hence, “the building of the Athens mosque has been a priority of the Greek government for nearly a decade, but deciding where to put it had turned the issue into a political dilemma”, said a DPA report yesterday.
There have been objections by the Athens Church and local residents over its location. “I am not against the construction of an Islamic Center, but it should not be in Peania,” said Peania Mayor Paraskevas Papakostopoulos, quoted by DPA. “The mosque should be built closer to downtown Athens where the majority of the city’s Muslims live,” he said. The Greek government, however, said that the delay in construction has been due to “bureaucratic reasons”.
The identification of small shops that may be run by those who believe deeply in Sura 9 extends, of course, to cisatlantic shores. And private citizens can help the police and FBI to identify such places. Furthermore, a number of "cash only" gas stations, and "cash only" groceries, may well be found in violation of the tax laws. But if every customer becomes a potential observer, that will make things far more difficult. Catherine,the Parthanon was destroyed long before mohameds time by several earth quakes.The Turkish powder magazine that was next to the Parthanon was destroyed by a shell from a Venetian Naval ship,completeing the job that an earth quake started.The Turks were going to build a mosque there,but the site was too dangerous as there were still falling pillars and stone from the upper faceing.At one time the Turks controled everything from Spain to India and as far north as Germany and Russia.But islam was destroyed when the European kings and princes joined together and pushed islam back to Turkey,Persia and north Africa.By 1600 islam was gone from Spain ,Italy,Eastern Europe and most of Greece.
