The fun just never stops with these guys.

Years ago, the US maintained a consulate at Songkhlaa, which is right next door to Pattani. Instead of doing the usual passport-renewal, jail-visit consular services thing, the consulate was there to keep an eye on the flows of Vietnamese refugees pouring out of the country after 1975. When the refugee crisis abated, nobody bothered to note that Songkhlaa was the place just down the pike from Phuket, Koh Samui, and other tourist meccas--it all goes to show that political rather than consular concerns rule at State.

It seems that if the USA is serious about keeping track of political developments, it might be time to reopen a consulate somewhere in southern Thailand.

Islam proven again to be the root of all violence, hatred, intolerance, prejudiced, and evil in the world.
This tumour of thailand needs removing just as it does in all the other countries it's infected.
