Robert, you came in loud and clear through my computer in south Idaho. I thought that the phone guests, for the most part, all had good questions and made important points.
I was paticularily interested in your comments about getting liberals involved in Islamic awareness. I'm a card carrying Libertarian and am having some difficulties getting them to take the Jihadist threat seriously. The major concern most Libertarians have is the increased power the state assumes when claiming to defend America against "Terror." Comments?

It's a legitimate question. The state has always grown during wartime; the problem is compounded by the fact that it has rarely contracted when peace is concluded.
But what is the alternative? Shall we capitulate to the global jihad in order to preserve small government?
Or shall we work to fight the global jihad in ways that will not expand the government unduly or unnecessarily, and reserve as much power as possible to the municipality, the states, and only as a last resort to the feds?

The Romans during the time of the Republic solved the problem of transfer of power to the office of "dictator" by limiting the term to six months. For nearly 300 years the military dictators who were appointed for the task of prosecuting war, surrendered the power and office to the Senate at the conclusion of their campaigns. I have always believed that this model was used by the framers of the US Constitution when they penned the articles relating to the declaration and prosecution of war as such a declaration results in the temporary transfer of extraordinary power from the Legislative Branch to the Executive Branch. That is why I advocate the formal declaration of war by Congress so that we might also have an unambiguous mechanism for the determination and declaration by Congress that a state of war no longer exists. By this means we will also have a way to unambiguously declare victory and the prompt restoration of peacetime civil liberties will be in order.
Great show Robert. You had an excellent radio presence and had all the facts at your command. You are the number one American analyst of Islam as far as I'm concerned. Along with Daniel Pipes. So many professors are apologizing and covering up what you expose to the bright light of courageous criticism. You have the guts to engage.

It was a great show and didn't hear one Muslim contest the verses cited from the Quran,why not even Mr.Hooper from CAIR offered to parrot his usual tripe from CAIR's "Scripted" responses to violence within Islam.
Yes there were too many breaks but overall it was something the Politicians should hear instead of their filtered diet of "Passive" Islamic claims and photo-ops at Mosques during sterilized sermons.
