More Ramadan attacks on Muslim heretics. From TamilNet, with thanks to Susan:
Police Sunday declared unofficial curfew in Kattankudy, a large Muslim town 5 kilometres south of Batticaloa, after mobs demolished a mosque and several houses and buildings belonging to an Islamic sect. Special Task Force (STF) commandos were called in after Police failed to control crowds of orthodox Muslims armed with clubs and machetes stormed the main mosque and a computer centre of the influential Islamic sect led by the charismatic cleric known as 'Payilvaan'. Police said crowds were called up by muezzins from orthodox mosques in the thickly populated town.On Sunday afternoon STF and Police were still trying to control crowds attacking the homes families that follow Payilvaan's teachings, sources in Kattankudy said.
Payilvaan's followers charged that a group of young preachers trained in Saudi Arabia were behind the attack. "They are trying to force everyone to follow Wahabism. They are paid to do this by the Saudis," one of them alleged.
Payilvaan, an Islamic scholar, has written extensively against Wahabi orthodoxy. His writings and preachings show his Sufi leanings.
Once muslims convert or get rid of the non-muslims, next they will get rid of their fellow muslims who do not measure up to what they believe Islam is.
What this means is a world of continuing and never-ending violence.
That's been my point for awhile now, when people like Mr.Hooper from CAIR profess to speak for the 1.2 Billion muslims around the world I see him setting himself up for the fall.
Even if the inflated number of 5 million living in America is true, that still means that there are only about 0.0008 percent of the 1.2 billion claiming Islam is about Peace and tolerance.
With 99.9992 percent having nothing to do with CAIR and Mr.Hooper, maybe THEY are the true Muslims and Jihad and beheadings are part of Islam, and it's CAIR has it all wrong.
I read a part of the Quran that claims that any
Muslim that isn't striving to please Allah is the enemy of Islam and it's the duty of true Muslims to kill them, this means that persons like Hooper and groups like CAIR will be victims of Jihad
in America,
When it's Mosques and Lawyer's offices be bombed I wouldn't be surprised to see profiling and loss of civil liberties appearing to be not such a bad thing. Muslims have their own Patriot Act and will lie to protect their brothers as well as condemning acts of violence while not condemning the actual Muslim doing the beheadings and bombings.
sux,
"I read a part of the Quran that claims that any
Muslim that isn't striving to please Allah is the enemy of Islam and it's the duty of true Muslims to kill them"
Prove it. Which verse?
Sri Lanka's Islam-instigated violence is indeed more proof Islam is a bottomless pit of murder and mayhem. But it is also an indicator that Sri Lanka is in need of an invesigation to determine the degree to which Islamic and al-Qaeda influences are active in the Tamil Tiger terorist network. Wearied of vicious civil war for the past generation and hoping for peace and even (sic!) a thriving tourism trade to boost its economy it would behoove Sri Lankan to join the war on terror led by the USA.
m12390 needs proof of a Koranic source instructing Muslims to slay apostates:
I'd say the facts here speak pretty much for themselves, and in a number of other places in the world where one sect of Islam perpetrates acts of unspeakable violence against another as well.
Do you think these supposedly devote Muslims are sacking and pillaging the mosques of minority sects over which end of the soft-boiled egg should be broken open?
If you're looking for specific quotes -- check out ApostatesofIslam's website, where they note the penalty for leaving Islam. FaithFreedom.org is another good resource.

Does this look familiar to any of the Americans here?
"Wahabi orthodoxy." There's an oxymoron . . .
