Here is another non-Muslim who will join the Ramadan fast. In this case, he seems to be pandering for votes. From the St. Albans Observer, with thanks to Internet Haganah:
A LOCAL Green Party activist is joining Muslims in St Albans and Harpenden in fasting for the traditional holy month of Ramadan.Marc Scheimann, who will stand as a Green Party candidate for Harpenden in the 2005 county council elections, started his fasting on October 15. It means he cannot eat or drink during daylight hours until November 13.
Mr Scheimann, a Harpenden resident, said recent world events had prompted him to try to understand more about the local Muslim community and their religion. He said: "I think that at the moment the Muslim community is feeling very much alone and feeling the pressure of the recent acts of terrorism that have taken place. They feel a lot of attention has been been targeted at their community so I wanted to put out a hand of friendship."
One would think from this statement that Muslims had been the victims, not the perpetrators, of "recent acts of terrorism."
Another dim dhimmi.
I wish that Mohammad had made Ramadan last the whole year round. I get a real kick out of seeing those starving thirsty muslims.
It seems that most of the political parties in Britain are now canvassing the Muslim vote.
I think that this is because of both short term and long term reasons.
In the long term, they probably realize that there are going to be more and more Muslim voters .
In the short term they probably know that winning in democracy isn't necessarily about appealing to the majority on certain issues, but overall they will pick up more votes by appealing to a small majority who feel very strongly about a certain topic rather than a majority who don't.
The majority of non-Muslims still don't seem to regard Islam as a key election issue but most Muslims do.
Most non-Muslims in the West will remain clueless until the moment that Sha'ria is imposed upon them. They they will cry foul and wonder how this was allowed to happen, not understanding that they own the responsibility for the government they get and the society they inhabit.
Inaction is also action in that it is a part of cause and effect. The other side hopes and expects that you go along with what they do by doing nothing about it.
Here is yet another Dhimmi - US Representative Maurice Hincey, Dem. NY - clearly clueless of his dhimmi status.

U.S. Rep. Maurice Hinchey, D-Hurley, center, and Town of Wappinger Supervisor Joseph Ruggiero attend a service Sunday, before speaking in the Masjid Al-Noor mosque in Wappinger.
NEW HACKENSACK -- In a campaign stop at the Masjid Al-Noor mosque Sunday, U.S. Rep. Maurice Hinchey broke the Ramadan fast with local Muslims and vowed to help protect their civil rights.
It was the first appearance by a politician at the Wappinger mosque, but not the first visit to a mosque by Hinchey, D-Hurley. He said he last fasted on Ramadan in Damascus, Syria.
Hinchey is running against Republican Bill Brenner of Sullivan County.
After participating in evening prayers, Hinchey spoke to the assembly, warning them of the stakes in the upcoming election.

''This is a critical moment where we can't afford not to be honest with each other,'' Hinchey said, referring to the presidential race and his bid for a seventh term. ''There is very much at stake here.''

Hinchey fielded questions ranging from topics such as immigration to why there aren't days off in the public school calendar for Muslim holidays. But the crowd seemed most interested in issues they say hit closer to home: racial profiling and anti-Muslim bias since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, and the implications of the Patriot Act on civil liberties.
Muslims ''lost respect'' after Sept. 11, said Arif Muslim, chairman of the board of the Mid-Hudson Islamic Association.
Muslim said ''many Americans watched us with one eye open and feared that the majority of Muslims were like the terrorists they now feared, instead of like the friends they once respected.''
Criticizing the Patriot Act
Hinchey, who was among 357 congressman who voted for the Patriot Act in October 2001, said it was ''very unuseful and something we must get rid of."
The congressman also blasted the war in Iraq, accusing the Bush administration of manipulating intelligence and using the terrorist attacks "to broaden'' the American military response to other nations he said were not involved.
Hinchey was joined by Wappinger Supervisor Joe Ruggiero, who also serves as the Dutchess County Democratic Chairman.
Hinchey's district does not include Wappinger, but many of the mosque's members live in the 22nd Congressional District.
Ruggiero told the crowd, ''I'm not going to tell you who to vote for." But he stressed what he said were the consequences of a Republican victory, touching on education, security and foreign policy. He said the country was ''much better off'' before the Bush administration.
Hinchey later joined his Muslim constituents in a downstairs hall where mosque members broke their daily fast as night fell.
Golam Mawla of Newburgh, a volunteer at the mosque's Sunday school, called Hinchey ''wonderful'' and said his appearance was important to show ''we are part of the community, part of the development of the region, and we are dedicated to the community.''

Find the nearest Muslim, and follow him around all day eating pork rinds, ham and cheese sammiches, and drinking beer. If they were that dedicated, they'd be fasting during the summer hours when the daylight hangs around much longer.
And don't think for a minute that these little rakes don't get up before sunrise, you know, before they head out the door to ruin everyone's day, and stuff their mouthes, gorging themselves so they don't go hungry during the day.
What a joke this cult is. Pretending to be so disciplined. I'd like to see them go through 2 a day football practices in the scorching July heat. Then perhaps they'd gain some respect.
Don't they realize that no drink means dry mouth, which leads to bad breath?
Try to find out if Hinchey has bothered to look into Islam at all. Suggest that he, or members of his staff, consult all or some of the following:

Ask if any of them has read, or would care to read, Ibn Warraq's "Why I Am Not a Muslim" or his collection of apostates' testimonies, "Leaving Islam." But since time is short, and it is unlikely that any of this will matter in the next week, vote against him even if you agree with his views on absolutely everything else, and disagree with his opponent. Make this the main issue -- one's understanding of, and attitude toward Islam -- of one's political activity.
I don't know why anyone thinks they are "lonely" and "isolated". It looks like half the politicians of the Western World are lining up to have iftar with them and kiss their asses.
Pahleeeze muslims are not "starving" they come into work sick because they have eaten so much before sunrise that they can hardly breathe and some have rented out banquet rooms at local hotels and gorge themselves into the wee hours after sunset, I would hardly classify that as "starving". Sunrise where I am is around 730am and the sun sets around 6pm---10.5 hours give or take to last on an overextended stomach isnt hardship, for some bloodwork you need to do the same thing. If they are so concerned about poor people then why not doante some of the extra food they eat during their holiday or extra money to shelters (I know they are supposed to donate extra money during this time) This fasting is a big "look at poor us" show and nothing more and any non muslim that participates is a fool.
I just fasted for a blood test last week....and that didnt even make the local paper.
When you put out the hand of friendship don't be surprised if you draw back a bloody stump, Mr. Politician.
One wonders if the Sierra Club will soon start backing islam, in the name of protecting the environment from white Christain fundamentalist businessmen.
oooops. Already happening. not to islamofascists per se, but...

Looks like KJ doesn't want to add his two cents to an article that exposes another useful idiot from the left!
Anything to catch a vote!
For our American brothers, yes, you have guessed it; political candidates in the UK have the same mother as the ones in your country!
Scheimann.... interesting name...no, he couldn't be, could he??? No it would stretch credibility too far!
I read in his waffle something I am getting very tired of reading, normally from spokesmen for "one " of the muslim communities. I quote:
"I think that at the moment the Muslim community is feeling very much alone and feeling the pressure of the recent acts of terrorism that have taken place".
Why is it that muslims "feel under pressure" each time an obscenity is committed in the name of Mo? Surely it is the people against whom the crimes have been committed who should feel anxious! I am tired of hearing this drivel coming out of the mouths of muslims but to hear it parroted by non-muslims beggars belief.
What concerns me is that when "under pressure" islam feels justification in defending itself. I suppose the guys who murdered the 49 unarmed soldier recruits murdered one and then felt "under pressure" so they had to murder another one to defend themselves and after that one they felt again under pressure..... this oft quoted statement worries me a great deal.
Wasn't it Nice Uncle Joe Stalin who said the bigger the lie the more people who will believe it?
Please, anyone in Harpenden, do not vote for this person. He is dangerous. Why? Because he buys propaganda in the hope of buying votes. He hasn't an original thought in his head!

Pardonmeforbreathing:
Yes, Marc Scheimann could be Jewish or he could be German. Hard to say going on his name alone.
If the former is the case, well, my Ashkenazic co-religionists have certainly been suckered before via our predisposition to intellectualize ourselves into unbelievably stupid notions of what liberal/progressive thought/behaviour is.
I recently bought a book about a neighbourhood in Toronto that once had a large Jewish population. Among the pictures, I found one taken at a Jewish Socialist summer camp in the mid to late 1930s. The people in the picture were bearing placards protesting the possibility of going to war (against Hitler), this at the same time they were protesting anti-Semetic acts of violence in Germany. I'd have to guess that the photo was taken when Hitler and Stalin had a pact between them and the directive was to be anti-war. When Stalin's anti-Semetism was later revealed, it created a huge rift in the community.
Here's an idea:
Why don't we (JW regulars) sponsor a
DHIMMI OF THE YEAR Award?
The award would generate some media attention
(especially if the winner was a celebrity)
and help publicise the word 'dhimmi' and its
meaning and implications - and of course draw
more people to JihadWatch.
The actual award might be a 'yellow star' if
the recepient were Jewish - or an appropriately
colored turban for a Christian. (An opportunity
to reveal that the Nazis took their 'color
coding' requirement from an existing islamic
system of repression.)
There is no lack of deserving candidates, but
Prince Charles and ex-Arbishop Lord Carey spring
easily to mind. Any other outstanding nominees ?
Correction: Archbishop
Guys Re awards
Look no further than the Islamic Human Rights Commission (An oxymoron if every I heard one!), they got there first.
http://www.ihrc.org/
Look under Events at the bottom
Not only do I find the writings on this site distasteful and one sided and yes folks RACIST..... Be aware this mob get regular airtime on the BBC!!!!!
If you read their opening statement it seems pretty fair defending human rights of all comers......THEN read on and see who thei believe really have rights and who is not worth a mention!
If you have time read through their site. Notice 2 things. You will see article after article whining and ranting about what non muslims do to muslims but see how many references you can find to Darfur...seems they are unable or unwilling to police their own.
