Boston Mosque: the Rise of Radical Islam?

An update on the controversial Boston mosque. From CBN, with thanks to KJL:

BOSTON, Massachusetts - A mosque is rising in the heart of Boston. Not just any mosque, but the largest mosque in the northeastern United States.

At a cost of $22 million, the 60,000-square-foot Islamic Cultural Center will be a prominent symbol of the growth of Islam in America. But the project is under fire, as some say it will also be a symbol of radical Islam.

The Islamic Society of Boston is under scrutiny for ties to radicalism. But the society says it does not tolerate extremism. And yet, some former and present leaders of the society have been tied to extremism.

The connections go right to the foundation of this mosque and the Islamic Society of Boston, or ISB.

The very founder of the Islamic society, Abdurahman Alamoudi, is sitting in federal prison after pleading guilty to charges related to a bizarre plot by Moammar Ghadafi to assassinate Crown Prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. But the society insists it hasn't had a relationship with its founder for several years.

Dr. Yusef al-Qaradawi used to be listed as one of the society’s four directors, on IRS forms.

The ISB says Qaradawi is a respected Muslim scholar, but the Egyptian Wahabbi cleric has urged Iraqi Muslims to kill American soldiers, and has praised Palestinian suicide bombers.

He was almost banned from entering Britain this summer. On July 7, 2004, he was publicly condemned by Prime Minister Tony Blair, who said, "Let me make it absolutely clear. We want nothing to do with people who support suicide bombers in Palestine or elsewhere, or support terrorism.”

In 1995, Qaradawi told his followers, "We will conquer Europe, we will conquer America!" The society says listing Qaradawi as a director was an “administrative oversight'' which, it says, “was subsequently corrected.''

Dennis Hale, a Boston College professor, said, "This is a smokescreen. This is deception."

Hale heads Citizens for Peace and Tolerance, a group that wants the Islamic Society of Boston to come clean about its ties to radical Islam.

Hale remarked, "This is a mosque that combines Wahabbi theology, Muslim Brotherhood politics and lots of money, and that's a very dangerous combination. Everywhere in the world where that's been found, bad things happened."

Close that mosque down dammit!

Can we mass mail members of the Boston city council? The boston Mayor or something? file a lawsuit to stop this thing? I know, I'm usingmany tricks in the lft's book but hey, if it works and is legal, its good for me.

Maybe Robert can next setup a 527 of sorts to buy media time in these markets and advertise facts about mosques and their ties to radical jihad there?

How ironic that in the city where the airplanes were hijacked by radical Muslims on September 11th 2001, a huge Islamic mosque is being built.
America is a free country - perhaps too free. The truth is Islam is not a religion of peace and love - but war and hate. What a travesty if that mosque is given planning permission! I hope the Christians of Boston double there efforts in the evangelization of these Muslims - while they still have the freedom to do so.

Why the word "BUT"???

This is THE reason that he is "a respected Muslim scholar".

We have to bear in mind, that the most respected of all Muslims is the pedophile godfather of the Arabian Mafia in the 7th. century.

Ah, concenrate the wolves in one location. The better observe their den, who comes and goes, and with whom they affiliate. As they say, this eyesore can become an opportunity to set back Islam in the United States if we are smart.

The good people of Boston and Massachusetts will have the opportunity to learn about and chaffe under the disdain of Muslims, but they should be warned about taqiyya and kitman.

But beware, Muslims will begin to agitate for hate-speech laws similar to those in Britain and Canada. First they will use the Massachusetts Constitution, and then, using this as a pretext, move to the U.S. Congress for redress againts that evil non-Muslims that take offense at their speech and behaviors. If we aren't careful, a minority of less than 1% of our population will hold us in thrall.

Sounds like every other mosque in the world. Show me one that doesn't.

And our forefathers may not have known the name of ISLAM
The founders of the United States were actually very well acquainted with Islam, much more so than American political leaders today, way much more. The first use of Article 8. of the US Constitution, the power to declare war, was against the Dey of Algiers in 1801 who had declared a jihad on the United States. Presidents Jefferson and Madison dispatched US Navy warships and Marines to crush the jihad (1st and 2nd Barbary Wars). John Quincy Adams understood the doctrine of taqiyya and was well aware of the details and precedents associated with the Treaty of Hudabiyyah. He wrote about these things in a series of essays published in 1826. Here is a link to an excellent article about the JQA essays.

Immigrants have Ellis Island and now the Jihadists will have the Boston Mosque as their welcome-wagon.

Stop Islam now

Muhammed can van-GOGH 2 hell

And another piece of America becomes islamic holy soil.
Are the people in Boston crazy ?

The islamic law says that wherever muslims build a mosque,it becomes muslim land dedicated to allah.
To allow such a mosque to be built on american soil after 9/11 is a sign of weakness and national blindness.

Tennis, anyone?

(Oops, we meant 'firebombing').
