Very well, Mr. Scott. Can you then please explain to me why Muslim proponents of those who "strap bombs to their chests" invoke this verse of the Qur'an: "Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain" (9:111)?
Is this not, Mr. Scott, a clear promise of Paradise to those who "slay and are slain" in the cause of Allah? Is it not, then, reasonable for Muslims to believe that if they "strap bombs to their chests" and explode them in crowds of infidels, that they will be rewarded with Paradise?
Please note, Mr. Scott, that I did not originate this exegesis. The venerable Qur'anic commentator Ibn Kathir, whose writings are widely read in the Muslim world, says that this verse means "that whether they were killed or they kill the enemy, or both, then Paradise will be theirs." He quotes a Hadith: "Allah has made a promise to the person who goes out (to fight) in his cause; 'And nothing compels him to do so except Jihad in My Cause and belief in My Messengers.' He will either be admitted to Paradise if he dies, or compensated by Allah, either with a reward or booty if He returns him to the home with he departed from." (Fath Al-Bari 6:254 and Sahih Muslim 3:1496).
So who are Muslims and what do they believe?...Scott said the original Islamic concept of Jihad is to promote Islam, no matter what obstacles stand in the way. Extremists have taken that further to say anyone who is a non-believer must be killed.
"That is not what Muhammad intended," Scott said.
Correct, Mr. Scott! He intended that they either be killed or "feel themselves subdued" (cf. Qur'an 9:29) as dhimmis, subject to all the discrimination and harassment mandated by Islamic law for the subject peoples.

The original Koranic text and the ahadiths exult the prophet's behavior which was that of a violent brigand that commanded and rewarded those of his followers that killed or subdued his enemies. He didn't mean this in a metaphorical sense as did Jesus of Nazareth, but actual bloodsheed, violent cruelty, and enslavement did occur and is still happening in the name of Islam in parts of the world.
Mr. Scott is dangerous in his naiveté when he teaches that extremism isn't true Islam. Rather than wrapping ourselves psychologically in an illusory cocoon of well being because of what we hear from people like Mr. Scott, we should be out with precision vigilance, finding the enemy and preparing for uprising and invasion.
When muslims are cutting people's heads off and splitting women from tail-bone to chin, I think a little foul language is to be forgiven. I feel the same rage and frustration, it is as if a sleeping agent has been given to the continent. You try to shake people awake but they just won't listen... it's like a bad dream.

Mr Scott with all due respect, If you just look at the worlds Islamic Countries you will find they do not practice Islam as you described it. So, who is right, Mr Scott or the worlds millions of Moslems?

A true "Muslim extremist" is one who repudiates violence to promulgate the Islamic ideology. A true "Muslim extremist" is one who accepts the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as self evident truth. Therein lies the essence of the problem and that is why the present generation must control the Islamic ideology as our ancestors have controlled it for more than a thousand years, with brutal overwhelming force. It must be contained as it has been historically contained, and someday, in some future generation, we can hope that it may eventually implode of its own accord. Hopefully, someday a generation living under the yoke of Islam will tire of their desperate existence in the 7th century.

If Christianity is to the KKK as Islam is to terrorists, whites would be screaming "racism" and "facsism" every time a white supremacist was investigated/convicted of a brutal crime. This does not happen. Most Christians and whites would be happy if a Klansman who committed murder or terrorism was put in jail. For example, Timothy McVeigh* (wasn't KKK, but was racist- he was influenced by The Turner Diaries, a book written by a neo-Nazi.) The average white, Christian American was disgusted with what he did, and wanted him in jail or executed. The jury sentenced him to lethal injection. The only people who opposed this were anti-death penalty types- and they held protests/candle light vigils for him- IN EUROPE.

1) Islamic terrorism exists in EVERY SINGLE COUNTRY AND COMMUNITY with a large Islamic presence. How many Klan members do you get in - let's say - Christian Norway or Bavaria, or anywhere outside of the American South/Midwest????
2) As someone mentioned earlier - exactly which verses of the Bible does the KKK CLAIM to get the jsutification for their actions from??
3) Even Islamic fundamentalists say that "in Christianity you turn the other cheek". Would Mr. Scott like to claim that about Islam???
4) The Muslim terrorists, who engage in MASS murder to further their aims, are not comparable to the KKK lynch mobs. The direct equivalent of the KKK lynch mobs in the Muslim world, if there was one, would be those people who stone women for adultery, kill people who leave Islam, kill those who "insult the Koran" etc. Now, unless Mr Scott would like to suggest that Sharia Law, which proscribes these punishments, is not "true Islam", then his bringing up of the KKK makes no sense - THEY might not be "true" Christians, but the perpetrators of Sharia Law are "true" Muslims...
