From the Daily Star, with thanks to Ali Dashti:
BEIRUT: Dutch Foreign Minister Ben Bot called on the European Union Monday to place Hizbullah on its list of terrorist organizations as a means to dry up financial support for the group from Europe. However, Hizbullah said on Tuesday that it considered the move as only serving Israel's interests in the region.
"It has become normal that the demands of some European countries are only raised to serve the interest of Israel in the Arab region," Hizbullah MP Mohammad Raad told The Daily Star. "We will place such antagonizing calls behind our back."
According to political analyst and expert on Hizbullah Nizar Hamzeh, the move is aimed at applying political pressure to disarm the party's military wing.
Hizbullah has 12 MPs in Lebanon's Parliament, in addition to a military wing considered by the Lebanese government as a legitimate resistance group, which was the major force behind the Israeli withdrawal from South Lebanon in 2000.
Although The Netherlands has drawn a distinction between Hizbullah's military and political wings; Bot told Parliament Monday that both wings are dedicated to the same ends.

End the Occupation from Iraq to Palestine*
* This does not include Tibet, Hong Kong or Lebanon, or anywhere else under Communist or Islamic subjugation. They should just stop bitching.
I just hope Europe is tougher on Hezbollah
then Canada is,our spineless Liberals would only go as far as denying Hamas and Hezbollah the "Charity status" for issuing tax-receipts.
Wow now that will scare them off,no tax deduction
for financing the murdering of Israelis.
I'm not that shocked since the Muslim population
in the last census indicated it surpassed the Jewish population, this aslo explains the rise in violence towards Jewish students at Universities
where the are Arab student bodies and Pro-Palestinian groups.
Ala-Sux:
Not sure about Hizbollah's status vis the laws against supporting terrorist organizations, but I'm pretty certain that Hamas is on the list of terrorist groups.
With respect to UNRWA funding being cut off by Canada, it gets murky because the suspect "employees" -- the ones who 'fessed up to transporting weapons in ambulances -- were actually linked to Tanzim, a part of Fatah, and not Hamas.
I'm not defending the Canadian gov't as it has generally been extremely lame. Remember when the Jewish community had to raise a stink about Mogen David Adom losing its charitable status in Canada.
Can't imagine what lobby group would have wanted MDA "delisted" in the first place. Can you?
