RIYADH - The father of a young Saudi fighter killed in Iraq is planning to sue religious scholars who called for jihad against US forces, Al-Medina newspaper reported on Sunday.The paper said Majid Shabib al-Otaibi blamed the scholars, who declared “jihad (holy war) against the occupiers is a duty for all who are able”, for the death of his son Muqrin.
Majid Otaibi said he was standing up against preachers who tried to “corrupt the minds of young men”.
First of all, I hope he has 24 hour bodyguard protection.

We complain about the American style of litigiousness spreading around the world. People suing for every little thing, like tripping on cracks in the sidewalk, etc. But in this case, it is a good thing. Sue the bastards! Poor man. Of course he'd rather have his son than a corpse. Who wouldn't? However I think he's fighting a losing battle. A Saudi suing the Wahabbis? Good luck!

Here is a model father. We need more parents doing the same. Speaking of litigation. The town in Michigan(?) that has the call to prayer five times per day... Can't some woman living in that city sue for intimidation? I, for one, would feel intimidated listening to a blatantly anti-female theology, plus not even in a language I understand. At this point, an Arabic call to prayer to me sounds like harassment.
I'm serious. If this call to "prayer" affects you or your children, consider a lawsuit. Not to prevent worship but to prevent harassment by your fellow citizens.
