Hamas leader indicates attacks on hold -- while attacks continue

From AP, with thanks to Teri:

JERUSALEM (AP) — A local Hamas leader indicated Monday the militant group would not attack Israelis during the Palestinian presidential campaign and would consider a formal truce with Israel in the latest signs of hope for renewed peace efforts in the region.

However, just hours after Sheik Hassan Yousef spoke, two Hamas militants were killed while trying to attack an Israeli military outpost in Gaza, and another Hamas official said there was no such truce.

GOD BLESS THE USA AND HER FIGHTING FORCES AND ALL WHO FIGHT WITH HER [ISRAEL TOO] GIVE THEM STRENGTH,SIGHT,WOSDOM, AND COURAGE TO STAY THE COURSE TO VICTORY TO STAY THE COURSE TO VICTORY TO DESTROY ALL ISLAMIC TERRORIST AND ALL WHO SUPPORT THEM AMEN

THEY

Does anyone really think it's going to make a blind bit of difference whoevers elected to head palestine... I , for one , don't.

One of two things will happen:

1)They will have a new, "peaceful" leader at the helm, who wants nothing but and end to violence, and is willing to go to any measures for peace with Israel. In the meantime however, the palestinian terrorist groups will ignore what this newly elected goody-goody leader says (because a peaceful solution just won't be good enough and will anger allah...etc etc), and will therefore continue to attack Israel with rockets and suicide bombings, killing innocents in the process and forcing Isreal to retaliate. Thus scuppering any chance of peace, or the two-state solution, thereby flushing any positive, constructive acheivements or gains down the proverbial shitter. Thus the never-ending war will continue, thanks to the tribe a savages called "palestine" (whilst western left-leaning media will; continue to blame Israel for all of this, no matter how much evidence points to the complete opposite.

2) A new president as bad or worse than Arafat will be elected in his place, who will refuse point-blank to reach any kind of peaceful solution, or meet Sharons government half-way in talks and will instead psyche up his people to continue the fight against the zionists (filling their heads full of shit, and brain-washing them into becoming homocide bombers). Thus the never-ending war will continue, thanks to the tribe a savages called "palestine" (whilst western left-leaning media will; continue to blame Israel for all of this, no matter how much evidence points to the complete opposite.

If this does happen, I hope someone in a hightened position in the west points out what has needed pointing out for decades:
That we should waste another second trying to help palestine, everything we've done, every positive step made any reasonable solutions are have always been destroyed by arafat. We've done everything we can, Israel has done everything it can, and nothings worked, which leads to one conclusion.... the palestinians don't want peace, they just want to see every last Israeli annihilated. Therefore we should just forget about them, and leave Israel to protect itself by any means necessary against this hostile ,frothing tribe of nomadic neanderthals.

Patience, folks.

An endgame is in sight where the israel-palestine question is concerned. Once the wall's complete and Tel Aviv evacuates the settlements outside it the collapse of Palestinian society will begin. Bloody riots, naked powergrabs, total anarchy.... Fatah vs hamas Vs islamic jihad vs the PLO vs the PA's joke of a security apparatus .... It [promises to be a bloody mess but at least israel can no longer be scapegoated for it for they would've withdrawn their civilizing influence to within the wall.

Let the games begin!

Rikki, it matters alot who gets into power. If some "peaceful" guy gets in, there would be no endgame. Israelis will continue to die and Israel is powerless to defend itself because of US/Europe/UN pressure. If some terrorist ie HAMAS were to be elected, Israel will be given the GREEN LIGHT by US/Europe to permanently dismantle the PLO infrastructure and retake the lands lost in the 1993 moment of folly.

Vote for HAMAS 2005!

There have been signs recently -- Hamas members meeting with EU officials, Hamas members hired by UNRWA, and now this incident -- that Hamas is going to try to pass itself off as being split between a "moderate" and "militant" wing. This is the same scam that Arafat and the PLO played.

Callistos,
Looking at it that way, you may be right. But nobody would expect Israel to just sit back and let suicide-nutters keep bombing their civilians .... would they (oh I forgot, thats roughly what was happening while Arafat was in power : The UN "... don't build the wall, let them keep slaughtering your people"... the UN have a lot to answer for, and they dare tell the UK government to release the terrorist prisoners... pah!!!).
