Has the Dutch government awakened?

From Alexis Amory in FrontPage, with thanks to EPG:

At first, it appeared that the Dutch government was going to replay its reaction to the murder two years ago of flamboyant gay millionaire Pim Fortuyn, founder of a political party based on resistance to further Muslim immigration to Holland. Back then, it had displayed all the frozen sang-froid of a rabbit caught in headlights. This time, the government at first cravenly refused to confirm that the murderer was a Muslim, despite him having been identified by dozens of witnesses as a Moroccan dressed in a djeballah, and having been shot in the legs by police and already in police custody, citing a reluctance to “jump to conclusions”.

However, as the day progressed and the Dutch began to express their fury, their government began to emerge from its catatonia. One of the country’s deputy prime ministers said: “The increase in radical Islam is worse than we thought.” Immigration minister Rita Verdonk stated: “We were naïve to think that people would exist together.”

As a Dutch blogger said: “The people here were already awake. It was the government that was asleep and didn’t want to wake up.”

Well, now it appears that the Dutch government has had a Sleeping Beauty moment: it has been awakened by the kiss of death, and the profound and lethal stupor that had overtaken the Dutch and most other EU governments, including the British government, may now be dispersing – in Holland at least. Two more members of parliament have been given 24 hour police protection, one of them having been taken into protective custody. Hirsi Ali has been living for months surrounded by government bodyguards 24 hours a day. This is in a country where Queen Beatrix, a few short years ago, could often be seen, unaccompanied, out for a cycle ride in the streets of Amsterdam.

After 15 years of pretending there is no problem with mass immigration by a hostile, alien and primitive religion despite the obvious warning when the first fatwah was issued against a writer in the West – Salman Rushdie in 1989 – and despite a deeply cowardly subversion of the blame for the legitimate fears of indigenous Europeans onto the Europeans themselves rather than the aggression of the intruders, the Dutch government appears to have heard the alarm clock go off. Perhaps the obscenity of writers and members of the government needing police protection to guard them from murderous Islamics is drawing to a slow close.

Yeah, as I've always said,(I hope), don't write the Dutch off yet.

I think that Holland and Europe may yet free itself from the muslim menace.

There is a limit to tolerance and the Dutch were known as the 'most tolerant' in Europe. Unfortunately [as the rest of Europe will find out] this is not a two way street with Muslims who demand everything but have no intention of integrating although will certainly outbreed their Hosts in a decade or two... If their governments don't wake up and DO something now Europe will become a violent, poverty stricken place - just like the shitholes the Muslims arrived from! TIME FOR DEPORTATION AND REPATRIATION.

Has the Dutch govt awakened? Well, I hope so! It would be nice for someone to lead the way and tell everybody that mass Muslim immigration is not all wonderment and bliss. There's still far too many of the loony left who insist it is. Or who insist it's only a "few radicals", so why exclude all the other hundreds of thousands (of welfare burdens)? Yeah, what's a few slaughters and beheadings in broad daylight? What's a bit of thought and speech control? Don't worry about it. Crime is everywhere, committed by people of all backgrounds, races and religions, you'll get used to it. Multiculturalism is the way to go. It'll be Nirvana. Anybody who disputes that is racist and an awful person and they must shut up.

All they have to do is to declare Islam to be a terrorist organisation, and hey presto, problem solved.

Strip all muslims of their citizenship (even the native converts)and then ship everyone to Saudi Arabia, when Haj time comes around. And don't let them back in.

I saw a very good show about French muslims tonight.

It was very interesting.

The second generation muslims were talking about how they didn't want to intergrate into French society. They said, "I was born here, so why do I need to intergrate?" They talked about a desire to get back to their roots, of which religion was one.

Also, it was very interesting when a muslim girl said that if she stopped wearing the veil, then she would feel very uncomfortable. I suppose if you cover your hair for long enough, it does feel uncomfortable to have your hair flowing free.

"has the Dutch Government awakened?"

Quick answer, NO. I think we really deserve what is happening on both sides of the Atlantic.

A demoralized self-loathing great civilization comes face to face with an agressive highly focused and motivated civizilation who all share a common identity and are unified.

Who do you think will win in the end?

Andrew:

No doubt, it wil be bloody. But WE WILL win, because the march of progress and enlightenment is inevitable, despite temporary setbacks. For more on this topic, I recommend cubed's article "Why Is Islam So Different? An Overview" at 6thcolumnagainstjihad.com.

cubed's (a regular JW/DW contributor) article

Gently I remind you that this forum is not the appropriate place to display your pessimism about our Cause, as it will be posted to jihadist websites and will gladden the heart of the ummah. Is that what you really want to do?

Chin up, Andrew. I cannot speak for Europe, but America voted against dhimmitude last Tuesday.

I read this article in full on FrontPageMag.com this a.m. Amory says Job Cohen is a Muslim as well as the deputy mayor, whose name I have forgotten. Has he got his facts straight here?

I'm curious about something.

I understand that "mainstream" Muslim groups in Holland have (predictably) distanced themselves from the killing of Theo van Gogh.

How then do they deal with the accounts in the Sirat Rasul Allah, (by Ibn Ishaq), and the Kitab al-Tabaqat al-Kabir, (by Ibn Sa`d), which describe the killings of poets Abu Afak and Asma Bint Marwan (with Mohammed's approval) on the grounds that these poets offended Allah and/or his prophet?

Do these Muslim groups assert that an example set by the Prophet is not appropriate for today? Surely not, this would be heretical.
Or do they deny the historicity of these documents?

If neither of the above are true, how can they call the murder of Theo van Gogh wrong? Has anybody pressed them on this issue? This is not a rhetorical question, I'd seriously like to know.

If the Prophet openly endorsed the killing of poets who criticized Islam, how can any Muslim distance him/herself from the killing of a filmmaker who criticized Islam?
Surely there is an exact equivalence between these 2 scenarios?

We have to direct as many people as possible ,to this site, here in the US as well as abroad.
When i posted a message with my condoleances on the Theo Van Gogh site,i have encourage all dutch readers to be brave, stay alert and most important to get informed on islam,on websites such as JW.
