Iraq Troops Find 'Hostage Slaughterhouses'

NEAR FALLUJAH, Iraq (AP) - Iraqi troops have found "hostage slaughterhouses" in Fallujah where foreign captives were held and killed, the commander of Iraqi forces in the city said Wednesday.

Troops found CDs and documents of people taken captive in houses in the northern part of Fallujah, Maj. Gen. Abdul Qader Mohammed Jassem Mohan told reporters.

OT. A BBC website has is taking comments about Islam and the Internet and Gilles Kepel is interviewed for the article. I have just posted the follwing there

"Gilles Kepel's views Islam through rather rose tinted spectacles. His knowledge of the subject is breathtaking but the theme in his books suggests that Islam is imploding and that everything is going to be OK. Meanwhile jihadist inspired killing has reached biblical proportions, and the 99 % of moderate muslims are too scared or passive to do the necessary to prevent their religion becoming the most destructive force on this planet since the totalitarianism of the 20th century. And now my point...why are jihadists using infidel technology like the internet?"

I have very little chance of being publised but if anyone else would like to have a go please visit the URL at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/3997701.stm

And while you are at it , leftbank perhaps you should be taking bets on the likelyhood of the BBC's coverage of the Hostage Slaughterhouses being given any credibility.

BBC = Al-Jazeera on the Thames.

Not original, but clever. (I think someone referred to the Lancet that way.)

Watch al Jezeera or read the NYT long enough and somehow this'll be spun so it looks like our troops designed and built this slaughterhouse to make it look like there are such a thing as mean, nasty Muslims.

Of course, we all know that Muslims wouldn't hurt anyone......They are peaceful.......

Sarcasm now off

Were Islam to implode, there would still be those coreligionists that would refuse to give in, such as those Japanese soldiers that hid out in the jungles of the Philippines for decades that would continue their murderous campaign for the Koranic texts demand either triumphalism or an apocalyptic end to it all. For this reason we can not allow even one small cell to elude the purge nor can we take our eyes off of the Khan network nor the blackmailing Iranians. Of course, out of revenge for being thwarted, they would prefer to destroy the whole lot than lose.

As a Catholic, I would like to ask my co-religionists who opposed the invasion if they still think this was an "unjust war"? The logical consequence of their position is that, had the U.S. and its allies not invaded, we would still have Saddam and his despotic cronies in power oppressing the population.

So much for the "Peace and Justice" wing of the Catholic Church, eh?

Hippolito,

You question brings up another in mind. What was the kill rate of Saddam on the populace vs. the kill rate of this war on the populace? I wonder what those numbers would look like? I bet it's ugly.

"Just war" or not is immaterial now. We have to put the situation in order and get the hell out of there.

As the jihad breaks out to Russia, Holland and Thailand I have to ask who is next? The Dutch seem to be taking the situation in hand. Go Netherlands.

Joe:

Hell, there are still people who deny the existence and/or extent of the Holocaust, including a big hero of the anti-war contingent, Noam Chomsky, so nobody should hold their breath waiting for any great change of heart among the anti-war types, Catholic or otherwise.

Why won't they change their minds? Because their opposition isn't based on reason, but on a cultivated animosity toward the US government and corporations -- Chomsky's favourite, nay sole -- bogeymen (except for Israel, Chomsky's Little Satan as well as Osama's).

We already know what Moqtadr Al Sadr's Mahdi army did to 200 or so people -- men, women and children -- who weren't ready to do their bidding within the walls of their most holy shrine in Najaf, but no recanting from Michael Moore about "the Minutemen... ...the Revolution".

We've listened to the anti-war types screech with dirision over the lack of WMDs only to have them screech again with derision over the alleged failure to find and secure 400 tons of explosives that the UN survey group certified were at Al QaQaa. So what's the issue here -- no WMDs or just not the "right kind" of WMDs, 400 tons of plastic bomb-making material not being as scary as 400 tons of enriched uranium?

The anti-war types also continue to insist there was no link between Saddam and Al Qaeda/global terrorism. This despite the confirmation of the existence of Salman Pak just outside of Baghdad, complete with a passenger airline fuselage. This, despite the presence in Baghdad of Osama's No. 2 guy, the Eqyptian Sheik Zawahiri long before the invasion and other stars of the terrorism fermament like Abu Nidal. Then there's the matter of Saddam's proudest act of charity -- money paid directly to the parents of Palestinian suicide bombers, presented by his now ailing pal Yaser in front of PA TV cameras, to preserve his hero status in the Arab world while he tortured and murdered countless Iraqis. This morning, MEMRI.org posted a newly translated article -- an interview with a Jihadi from Afghanistan, who affirmed that Al-Zarqawi & Co linked up with Ansar Al-Islam in northern Iraq long before the March 2003 invasion.

No, there's a willful blindness connected to all of this, but lately, the Dutch are starting to see through the fog. I just hope we don't have to see a few more murders, like that of Theo Van Gogh, for the coin to drop.

So what constitutes sufficient linkage to the anti-war types? I guess they'd like to see a written agreement between the parties or something like that.

What does it take in general for people to believe there was some justification for a major military intervention? Rene Levesque, the late premier of the Province of Quebec was a journalist during WW II and was present for the liberation of the camps. He said in an interview that it was at Eisenhauer's insistence that extensive footage be taken of what was found on their arrival to be sure that there was an accurate historical record.

epg,

It does appear, finally and thankfully, that the US government, by its action in Fallujah, is saying "We will kill all of you civilians in order to kill the ones we HAVE to kill. If you are so stupid as to not tell us where these terrorists and murderers are living amongst you, we will kill ALL of you in order to kill our intended targets."

It's time for the world to understand that America should stop at NOTHING to save the world from this pestilence.

Just HOW LONG do you think it will be until the civilian population FINALLY understands that we will not tolerate any longer hiding and helping the enemy?

Remember the "either you're with us or you're against us" speech? It is obvious to ME that if an internationally wanted terrorist moved in next door to my house and I didn't do anything about it, I SHOULD expect some bad things to happen. If these 'people' of muslim faith wish to keep secreting the bad guys under their skirts, their skirts will have to be eliminated.

OK. Now that we have found some of the houses, here is my suggestion: gather all of the evidence possible, bring the press in to document as much as possible, then level everything on the property.

LEFTBANK
Have gone to the connection and left 'comments'.
After seemingly being banned for months, had a letter published about Margaret Hassan pointing out 'She is a Muslim Convert so according to Islam shouldn't be Harmed...' Have no doubts that we ARE banned but lets keep trying all the same.
Is anyone surprised at grisly finds in Iraq or any Muslim country?? Watched Decapitation of poor Mr Armstrong - most horrendous thing I've seen and was glad for his sake when Death came - Death was merciful compared to what those psychopaths were doing to him! No wonder ordinary Iraqis are terrorfied of their own people, they know the tortures which will be inflicted on them BEFORE MERCIFUL DEATH COMES.

Say it isn't so,all this time the Muslims claimed the CIA was behind this by uses the gitmo
bay prison in cuba.
Islam forbids violence and beheadings so it must be a lie..right?,in fact Arafat is being kept alive because Islam forbids euthenasia for a homosexual terrorist with aids.

In case you hadn't heard Arafat was outed a few years back and is believed to have aids from a gay lifestyle,he has all the traits of a aids related sickness and you don't need to be a genius to figure out why ghe doesn't life with his wife.

Perhaps there is enough evidence or clues that can bring those islamic bastards to justice.

sgt_shultz:

I thought something was a bit odd when
Arafat went public to give blood just after the 9/11 attack,he looked shakey and frightened
to give blood as if something was wrong.
This is why I believe the story about aids,Arabs have trouble with females being in power and gays in Palestine risk being killed in public for a lifestyle that offends Allah.

Just think of the paradoxical irony this would create for Arabs to exalt a homosexual that also
skimmed money from the foreign aid programms that were meant for the poor Palestinians,Arafat's wife get 100,000 a month and is suspect in a 13 million dollar transfer to an account in France
that's connected to her.

First the Muslims exalted a misogynistic pedophile and now they'll have a shrine to
a homosexual terrorist that stold money from the poor, gotta love those peaceful god fearing muslims.

isnt it kind of odd that the only footy we have seen of iraqi troops was when they "took" the hospital and when they where at the railroad station on the edge of fallujah. ive seen almost no footage of iraqi troops sense then... maybe i dont know its because the marines and army are doing all the work and they put the iraqi troops in the rear...

Have you heard about the muslim gas station owners throughout the US,selling infidel beheadings cd`s?!

alA SUX
the french fiscal authorities have been investigating Suha for fraudulent transfers and tax evasion.
However i doubt that Chirac would allow any charges to be brought previously.
Now he can see how the pals hate her, he may allow those charges to be brought to gain the sympathy of the pals!
I expect nore to be heard about this in the near future.

BTW
perhaps the most drivel r4idden propaganda piece on fallujah at the BEEB.
Why are there not more reports of the suffering of the "insurgeants"?

I pray the USHER is one of the first to go in the promised 10,000 plus reduncies at the BBC.

Riboflavin: I'm sure the brunt of the fight is being carried by the USA. But the reason NBC, CNN, etc. give no coverage to Iraqi troops fighting agbainst the terrorists is because they're not supposed to exist. All of Iraq is supposed to be fighting the evil Bush (never mind it took the US 18 mos. to rack up 1000 battle deaths from hostile fire, accidents, etc. in a country where everyone shoots off AK's at weddings and sports victories--i.e., a lot of someones in Iraq aren't trying very hard to restore "national honor"; or, dare we say it, may think that the Ba'athis and terrorists are a national dishonor?)

By the way, Uighur exiles (who are Muslim) in the West have just circulated a BBC report of Chinese Communist persecution of Christians.
