I was on Pax TV's "Faith Under Fire" last night, debating with Abdul Malik Ali of the Masjid Al-Islam in Oakland, California. A notice was up on the "Media" page (click on "Media" at top left) but I neglected to put a notice here. However, if you go to the Faith Under Fire webpage, you can see, at least for awhile, a rather strange popup of me responding (weakly) in a comic-strip speech balloon to Abdul Malik Ali's far more imposing preliminary pop-up.
The "Oppression in the eye of the beholder" quote they selected was ok, but he was talking about the evil imperialists. So they may have unintentionally bolstered his assertion with that selected response!
Take a look at a photos of protest in Dearborne, Michigan. This is very serious and shows the direction our country is heading if we do not restrict Islamic immigration now.
It is scary.

Robert Spencer never loses a debate to a man who wears a dress.
I luckily came across the show last night. Robert had the upper hand. The imam from California got annoyed and angry as the discussion went on. The imam very quickly launched into "All Westerners are imperialists and oppressing Muslims around the world." He brought Palestine and the Crusades into the discussion, as if they were perfectly reasonable justifications for suicide bombings and kidnapping and beheading people. He said that since Muslims don't have helicopter gunships and tanks, their only recourse were guerilla activities. It was quite revealing of the "radical" Muslim mindset. Spencer did good by staying calm and coming back with specific arguments against the imam. The imam did not refute any of Spencer's specific points, he just angrily denounced Western imperialism against oppressed Muslims. Curiously, Muslims never seem to notice oppression of Muslims by other Muslims, nor do they seem to notice when Western nations intervene to protect Muslims (Kosovo). Spencer done good!
I live in Canada and Friday morning on the news two persons claiming to speak for Palestinians in Canada made threatening demands for the Government to halt all aid to Israel.
I was shocked the media actually gave these terrorists air time for their bogus Press-release
about the death of Arafat,the video didn't appear on news wensites and i didn't see it repeated later on in the day.
One thing that has angered Canadians is the Arabs and Muslims hijacked Rememberance-Day as their Arafat-Day and will no doubt exploit November 11th from now on as THEIR day for parades and Rememberance.
They even had the nerve to lower the Canadian flag to half mast as a sign of National mourning,this while we were honouring the war-dead and vetrans.
Multiculturalism has turned out be a giant failure and it has only created self-segregated
minorities groups that hand down the past hatreds
to their children,you only need to look at my City council and see how each district has a person from the minority group.
While minorities scream racism when their not reflected in mainstream businesses,they don't mind the benefit of hiring "Their own kind" to keep the hurd pure and employ local talent.
The cable channels that have multicultural shows are a perfect example,each group hardly works at employing other races or religious members. The
sterotyping by themselves is laughable and shows a real deep rooted bigotry that is accepted as
part of retaining cultural identity.
The real tragedy here is that once a person
is pigeon-holed into their slot in their minority
sector channel,they lose the general skills and
get overlooked for National media show or even foreign jobs like the US networks. The Police force is similar and now the fire department is under pressure to hire people that make up the
ethnic or racial population of an area,this include language skills to communicate with
the person at the sceen of the local fires.
The only time I've seen a major hurdle in our immigration system is the current one where Muslims want special dispensation for using Sharia Law and demanding workplace change to be Muslim-friendly along with teching Islam in the public school to end Islamophobia.
Every other group has adjusted to their new world and respect the Countries traditions and values,I'd really hate to be around when the Muslims become the majority and set up an Islamic Government.

The Faith Under Fire website sells transcripts from their shows, although last night's episode (#107) is not yet listed. Since I missed it on TV, I'll get a copy as soon as it's available.

I think it went very well, if I do say so myself. But we taped it many weeks ago and I don't have the clearest recollection of everything that happened. I didn't like the pop-up caption at the website, but I think the show itself was stronger.
