Dhimmi lawyer Lynne Stewart speaks out. She says she wants a revolution, and well, you know, from the looks of things an Islamic one would be just fine with her. From AP, with thanks to all who sent this in:
A lawyer accused of conspiring to help terrorists testified at her trial that she believes only violence and a "popular revolution" can combat the evils of capitalism in the United States.Under questioning in federal court, Lynne Stewart said violence was necessary to reverse an "entrenched ferocious type of capitalism" that breeds sexism and racism. She said civilians must not be targeted, but left unclear what kind of violence she meant.
"I'm talking about a popular revolution," Stewart said. "I'm talking about institutions being changed and that will not be changed without violence."
Stewart, 65, has been charged with providing material support to terrorists by letting her client, Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman, deliver messages to followers after his 1995 conviction for plotting to blow up New York City landmarks.
Interesting to note that she ain't seen nothing yet in terms of sexism: if her friend Sheikh Omar or his ideological kin were to get their way, she would find that she had helped triumph a foe of women's rights, as she conceives them, considerably more formidable than Jerry Falwell or Pat Robertson.
She faces up to 18 years in prison if convicted.Throughout the trial, Stewart's lawyers have portrayed her as a zealous advocate for the blind Egyptian cleric, whom she represented at trial and after he was sentenced to life in prison. But they say she acted only as a lawyer.
Prosecutors contend she became a conduit for the sheik to communicate with members of the Islamic Group, an Egyptian terrorist organization that advocated violence, sometimes as part of an effort to free the sheik.
When U.S. Attorney Andrew Dember pressed Stewart to explain what types of institutions she believed must be attacked, Stewart said the American Revolution was accomplished through violence and that the Civil War brought about an end to slavery in the U.S.
"We're not in those times yet," she said. "People will make the right decision about which to attack."
Ahh, our heroine from "Unholy Alliance"...
Dumb bitch....
Reminds me of the idiots who defected to North Korea in order to escape the evil capitalist West.
She should be sentenced to spend the rest of her life in Saudi Arabia.
Representative of the Trial Lawyers Guild, this woman is menace. In fact the the entire Guild should be put on noitice, disbarred, and prosecuted to the full of the law.
OK - put down your pitch-forks and torches. We have to wait till 2023 to start The Revolution.
Hmm... she's a lawyer. I wonder how much evil capitalistic money she drags down a year. I wonder what kind of house she lives in, I'd bet a larger house than most people. I'm always amused at rich people that bitch about the capitalistic system.
Off the point slightly, but blisteringly good Telegraph opinion piece about Van Gogh's murder:

So do I take it she agrees with my earlier post that the Dutch have he same right as Palestinians claim to resist a aggressor and occupying force trying to take their land.
We all know the ultimate goal for Muslims is to claim the Earth for Allah as one giant islamic Nation run by sharia law. Did the Muslims think the Dutch would forget the fight to stem the Nazis
and battle years of occupation,if the Muslims support their Muslim brothers in palestine then they must understand the right for any nation to defend itself from a foreign invasion.
This one just happens to be the soldiers of Islam that wear civilian clothes,as bad as the Nazis were I now respect them a soldiers that they weren't the cowards like the Muslims in Holland that use civilian clothes to hide their role as a jihadist that out to slaughter God's children for Allah.
I see that Churches in Iraq and now Holland are being attacked or bombed, the media has fallen victim to Islamic con jobs by reporting the Church attacks as response to violence against Muslims that has only continued the cycle of violence.
lobo,
In Saudi Arabia she could still practice what passes for law there. She would, however, need a male "agent" of some sort for the court appearances.
This woman sounds like she has become mentally unhinged. She supports people who encourage the worst sexism and racism there is. And supports "revolution" against a society that does its best to combat sexism and racism. Maybe she fell in love with the sheik. Imagines him as some sort of gallant Lawrence of Arabia type. And she is now acting out some sort of girlish fantasy in hopes he'll love her back.
She is an idiot. Lock her away. Forever. She has her own website even. Take a look at her picture. Maybe that's why she supports a society that would envelop her mug in metres of dark fabric.
Just came across a good slogan:
Muslims, Gogh to hell.
INTERESTD
Excellent article in the Telegraph and do like the name - 'New Nazis' which describe Islamists perfectly. Could I have her Website as I would like to protest in the strongest terms against what she is doing? You have to wonder why a number of women go gaga over these one eyed self
styled Sheiks who would be the first to condemn them for 'UnIslamic ' conduct and order them to be stoned or their throats cut. "There's no fool like an old fool" so they say...
Wilhelmus van Nassouwe, ben ik van duytschen bloet...
Willem of Nassau led the Dutch in an Eighty years' war to free themselves from Spanish oppression (interesting that the most brutal European power of the 16th century was the one that had received the most Islamic influence). The Spaniards, seeking to re-win the Netherlands to Rome, hung pacifist Anabaptists by the thousands (the Dominican fathers of the Inquisition followed the DUke of Alva's army), driving the survivors into the fighting faith of Calvinism.
I pray that the "Revolution" for which Lynne Stewart prays to her Marxist idol of "historical necessity" is that of a West that awakens to just how destructive the Left-Islamicist nexus is. Perhaps the first rumblings are appearing in the non-Dhimmified parts of the Netherlands in response to the killing of Theo van Gogh.
Lynne Stewart is an overripe adolescent rebel who, tired of the comfortable capitalist life she leads, embraces every violent upheaval. I'm also sure that if the charges of aiding terrorism stick, she'll play on sympathy for her age and sex. If so, maybe it'll give a good name to the hanging of witches (a la Salem: the continental punishment of burning was cruel and unusual).
One line in this particular report seemed to remind me of something I had heard earlier. Chilling. . .
When I read that Dhimmi lawyer Lynne Stewart speaks out and says she wants a revolution . . . and then ends with:
"We're not in those times yet," she said. "People will make the right decision about which to attack."
This line is reminicent of the response given to Steven Emerson in the 1994 video that aired on PBS called "Terrorists Among Us, Jihad in America".
In that video, Emerson interviews Mohammed al-Asi (the Imam at a Potomac, MD Islamic Ctr.). al-Asi responds to a question saying something to the effect of "if the US disrupts the hornets nest, she cannot expect the hornets to respond in a lackadaisical manner."
al-Asi continues with . . .
"Unless US becomes a war front" then when pressed for clarification of what constitutes a war front, al-Asi becomes smug and grins, "No, not now" (back in '94) . . . and suggests he will not likely be in the US when that time comes.
After checking with google, al-Asi apparently is continuing his quest to explicitly elaborate on conspiracy theories about 9/11, Israeli/Jewish control of the administration, Congress etc. at college campus' as recently as 2/04.
Miss Stewart should be sent to live in saudi(or choose the shaira country of your liking)...where her big mouth would not be allowed to run...once she is living under the thumb of the people she so dearly loves known only as wife #4 we will see if any of her love and admiration wanes.
I don't know about giving Lynne Stewart a revolution. She's sure as hell revolting, though.
Carolyn2 says,
"I'm always amused at rich people that bitch about the capitalistic system."
Same here. It is amazing how a lot of enlightenment considering the downtrodden emanates from those who only have a romantic view of the sufferings of their subject matter.
A few examples: Marx, Engles, Lenin, bin Laden and now this woman.
What is more amazing is how the street-wise poor continually buy into the esoteric crap.
These "enlighteners" are in it for themselves, either for power, money or history's sake.
