Even Islamic terror groups condemned the murder of British-Iraqi aid worker Margaret Hassan yesterday, while Muslims in New York shook their heads in disgust."Killing this woman didn't serve the Iraqi purpose," said Moshir al-Masri, a Hamas spokesman in Gaza. "Especially because she is a humanitarian target that has nothing to do with what happens in Iraq.
"Hamas condemns the killing of anyone who is not related to the fighting armies."
Khaled al-Batesh, a leader of Islamic Jihad - which has unleashed suicide bombers across Israel - said his group is "very sorry for the killing of Margaret Hassan and we'd like to show our condolences to the family."
But he still blamed British leader Tony Blair for the killing "because he didn't comply to the demands of the kidnappers to release tens of Iraqi female prisoners."
Al Jazeera, which received a tape believed to show Hassan's murder, said it would not air the video "because we respect the audience's feelings."
On Atlantic Ave. in Brooklyn, Muslims said Hassan's murder went against the central tenets of Islam.
"This is illegal, according to the Koran and all Islamic schools of thought," said Jihad Ali, 44, a Sudanese immigrant who teaches at an Islamic school.
Well, of course, in fact it isn't. Islamic law allows for the killing of women and children who are perceived as aiding the war effort against the Muslims ('Umdat al-Salik o9.10, cf. al-Mawardi, al-Akham as-Sultaniyyah, 4.2).
But in any case, condemnation of such actions is better than approval. Now let's see follow-through. In the words of British "race chief" Trevor Phillips: "Muslim protestations that the faith is opposed to the depredations and crimes carried out in its name . . . and that it regards equality of women as intrinsic to Islam can only be taken seriously if we see those assertions being made flesh here in our communities."
There is no justification that can be made for this act of cowardice.
Even the apologists and justifiers , who usually twist the scenario to claim that by some technicality endorsed by the koran, the sawing off of the heads of infidels is just and called for, could not possibly do the same for the germs that killed this innocent woman. It really does defy even the korans murderous instructions, as Hassan is both a muslim, and an aider of muslims, she was anti-war and in no way helped the coalition forces.
The hamas spokesman has the gall to blame Blair.... how typically pathetic .... the rats just can't take responsibility for their own actions, which gives their devoid of logic claims even less credibility. Why anyone would care what a spokesman for the recruiter of kamakaze-kids has to say about the matter is a mystery. It's like Hitler offering his condolences to the families of jews gassed in Berlin in WW2.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – A Sri Lankan businessman accused of brokering black market deals for nuclear technology was arrested Friday in Malaysia, government officials said.
Buhary Syed Abu Tahir, who allegedly worked with disgraced Pakistani scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan to sell nuclear secrets to rogue states, was detained for threatening Malaysia's national security, officials told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.
Tahir is the most senior known member of Khan's network to have been arrested since details about its operations to sell nuclear know-how and equipment to Libya, Iran and North Korea came to light earlier this year.
Khan was pardoned by Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf after admitting wrongdoing and pleading for clemency.
In a speech in February alleging details of Khan's proliferation activities, President Bush named Tahir as "the network's chief financial officer and money launderer."
Tahir was arrested Friday on an order signed by Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi under security laws that allow for indefinite detention without trial, and was immediately sent to a prison camp in northern Malaysia, the officials said.

The Kenner school teacher who allegedly insulted the Muslim student by physically removing her head scarf and insulting her religious beliefs should never work in an American school again.
I teach music to elementary-age children and teach music to students of all ages. I do not have the right to touch any student without their permission and I certainly have no business commenting on their religious beliefs.
This girl was, in my opinion, physically assaulted, and her teacher tried to humiliate her -- unsuccessfully, I hope.
Everyone seems to feel the world changed with 9-11. Only our perception changed. Isolated terrorist groups, including Timothy McVeigh and other American paramilitary groups, had threatened America before. Terrorism has been around for hundreds of years. Bin Laden and his al-Qaida group are only a few thousand strong, grown and trained in an insurgency against the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan.

Those Muslims-- such as members of HAMAS-- who publicly 'condemn' the genuinely horrifying murder of Miss Hassan and other such victims of 'political' Islam have DONE ABSOLUTELY SQUAT ZILCH ZERO to prevent such killings by Islam!! Likely they NEVER will. Because these atrocities serve their political and religious purposes it is doubtful their statements contain much in the way of sincerity--Arafat probably made similar statements after the Black sunday atrocities at the 1972 Olympics in Munich. We should ignore these people-- at least until they finally (if ever) do domething to prevent atrocities perpetrated by the supposed 'political' use of Islam. Don't get excited, however.
I do suspect if this woman hadn't converted to islam then the Islamist condemnations of it probably wouldn't have occured.
Infidels are fair game in a jihad of global conquest however muslims who do charity work are not fair game if they are not acting in any way politically. To murder them is publicly embarrising and very politically counterproductive to islamists.
It is important to the islamists to show the world that if you submit to Islam you will be protected and no longer be targeted for death by them. Otherwise people will be less likely to convert if they think their lives won't be spared. Potential converts will just say to themsleves why convert if I am to be murdered anyway.
That is the real reason why you hear all the mass murdering evil islamist organisations/parties condemning this womans murder. They are really saying to the world...
"convert and we won't murder you to the best of our ability...if someone muslim does murder a new convert we don't condone it. So please ignore the murder of this woman by muslims as it is a very rare incident. Remember these people murder their own in the thousands all the time and they don't feel any remorse...They behave 99 percent of the time as psychopaths but even a totalitarian political movement has to have the appearance of upholding their ideological version of the law.
After you gain the coverts trust and you rise to supreme power you can always then throw the laws away and do what you want. Was there any method to the madness in the murder of Margaret Hassan? If you pass by a halal butcher shop, there in the window you'll see something similar to what they did to her. In that context it's not so strange, it's simple herder's work, carried out, of course, on a woman. But when the dust settles, the killers didn't do anything so far from their daily experience that it would shock or shame them. That they butchered a woman is to our minds an evil thing. To the average herder, nothing much.
Does that mean they felt the Western world would shrug it off as the nature of things? No, I don't believe so. I think that because even the most remote Beduin has contact with foreigners they knew quite well our general reaction would be one of fury and rage. But has it been? Disgust, yes. Some NGO types have made the claim that this all arises because the U.S.'s imperialism has tainted foreign aid to the point that the local populations can't tell the difference anymore between a locaql woman working in the health care field and an American soldier in uniform. Honest people are sickened and disgusted by the slaughter of a woman, regardless of her role and nationality. The islamic world understands that clearly. So what is the motivation for such a spectacle of barbarism?
I harken back again to my thsis that the Islamic world is begging to commit suicde by Imperialism. They are in the throes of death, enraged and frustrated by thieir own ability to die peacefully, and they are therefore doing all they can to proke theirowon annihiation by the superior force of the West. I feel this is an utterly logical response on the part of a primitive and irrational culture. How should we respond to that provocation?
The murders of van Gogh and Hassan and those prior and those to follow are the Islamic way of getting our attention. Unfortunately for all involved it's not working; therefore, the atrocity level continues to rise. It's not enough to massacre school children, to shoot a fat Dutchman on a bike, to butcher a middle aged lady. There will be more, there will be worse. Islam demands it. And how will we respond? If we let this continue unchecked our only response will be to 'melt Mecca." Islam will be fully satisfied that they died the deaths of martyrs, and since the alternative is to slowly waste away in the face of their won total inferiority, a quick and nasty death to paradise is a sure winning idea.
But what can be the rational response from the West to this provocation? It's not rational or reasonable to nuke 'em. I'll argue that to exterminate entire populations is outright wrong. I'd say it's a bad thing. So, what is to be done?
The conflict between the dying culture of Islam and the rest of the world, from India, Russia, and the West is slowly reaching a critical point at which the rest of the world will have to make some serious response. Will it be by then too late to save the majority of the general population of Moslems? I feel that if the general citizenry of the West, and the others, do not rise up from the timidity of democracy, if we do not set aside our assumptions that the rest of the world is cromprised of those like us who are simply different, then we will not act appropriately to the threat they bring upon themselves.
I suggest that we hasten the conflict by accepting the challenge presented to us by the Moslem world, that we act in accord with their demands, and that by doing so we take the moral high ground: that we save thsoe we can.
How do we respond to Islam's violence? I suggest that we embrace Islam as our partner in this dance of death, and that we waltz with great dignity till Islam goes over the rails. That in response to the murder of ours, we bow to our opponents and accept the lead in this series of steps to come.
Can we focus? Can we pick a place, such as the Netherlands, to place our undivided attentions? How can we, from our distant posts, effect the nature of the struggle for the fulfillment of islam in such a place?
Never in my life would i suggest that one send letters to sites such as stormfront. If one were incautious, those people might get the wrong idea that we are advocating the burning of mosques in the netherlands as a way of increasing the tensions between the peace-loving Moslem citizens of the Netherlands and the rest. Those at stormfront are less than rational at times, and a barrage of incitement might set them to thinking in ways inappropriate to our ethic and devotion to the rule of law.
To sum up, I say that yes, there is a method to the Islamic madness of slaughtering Hassan and van Gogh. They want us to contact such people as those at stormfront and incite them to act as proxies in the increasingly dramatic struggle for attention the Moslems so desperately desire. I, of course, cannot suggest that my letter to stormfront are meant to be taken as inciteful. I just like tossing out ideas for the sheer fun of typing.
