In June 2004, Swedish mother Elizabeth Krantz's five children were kidnapped from Sweden by Krantz's estranged Palestinian husband Ismail Nowajah. The children -- Adam, Amina, Zakarias, Miriam and Sara -- range in age from six to sixteen. They were taken to the Gaza Strip against their will and in contravention of Swedish law and have since been incarcerated in separate locations. Their mother, from a small town outside Gothenburg on Sweden's west coast, has custody of the children, with visitation rights granted to her estranged husband.Ismail Nowajah says he disapproves of the upbringing his children were getting in Sweden, where they were born, and that he wishes to bring them up according to a stricter Islamic code, which he says cannot be done in Sweden but is possible in Gaza. Nowajah has signaled, however, that he is willing to release the children back into the custody of their mother in exchange for five million Swedish kronor (about 720,000 US dollars).
The children are Swedes. They are unfamiliar with Arab culture and have no knowledge of the Arabic language. They are thus unable to communicate in the environment into which they have been forcibly placed. They are denied schooling, and 15-year-old Miriam suffers from an unusual form of diabetes -- type 1 -- that requires special medication, treatment that has thus far been denied her by her father.
"A Sensitive Issue"
Commenting on the case, the Swedish Foreign Office noted that the situation is highly sensitive since the children have dual nationality -- Swedish and Palestinian -- and that according to Palestinian law the children are wards of their father.
This is a remarkable point of view, on several accounts. First of all, Swedish law applies to Swedish citizens, and in fact the children were kidnapped from Sweden. No other legislation is relevant until the children have been returned home. The father is in breach of Swedish law for a crime committed on Swedish soil.
The second consideration is the illogic of the Foreign Office's standpoint: the children do not - and in point of law cannot - have dual nationality. There is no country called Palestine. While the emergence of such a country may well be a highly desirable goal for reasons of geopolitical interest, Palestine does not exist today. The children therefore do not have dual nationality, and Sweden accordingly need take no such consideration into account.
"Citizens" Yet "Stateless": Politics at Play
Even more remarkable about Sweden's claim that the children Palestinian citizens is Sweden's role in providing asylum to countless Palestinians as "stateless refugees". Apparently, these people are either stateless and nationals - depending on the political capital at stake.

I feel sorry for the mother, Elizabeth. She must be going through hell, as are her poor kids. Yes, good advice: be wary of Muslim men. They don't believe you have any rights, don't adhere to any country's laws, and really don't care for their own children. It's all about ego.
My sympathy for the mother is tempered by the fact she knowingly married a Muslim (and Palestinian as well). Remember the old saying "when you sleep with a dog don't be surprised when you wake up with fleas". An estranged Muslim spouse running off with the children to jihad land is a very common phenomena. God help the children.

A 21-year-old Turkish woman who had been born in Berlin, taken to Turkey at 12 to be engaged to a cousin, married at 15, divorced at 19, was stabbed to death on street in Berlin by her ex-husband. Forgot to mention that the Berlin "honour killing" was also another example of Muslim fathers' love for their kids: the mother was stabbed in front of her 3-year old daughter.

Hey Guys… It hurts me to see that Mel Gibson has just made 395 million. And then to see people that has ‘boo-koo’ amounts of money standing on TV asking me to drop my last penny into the Salvation Army kettle, and all the while they are getting paid to make the commercial.
There is one of the many newsletters I get that always have suggestions as to what action we as the reader can take. I have suggested a few times that Jihad Watch put a place where one can look at the suggestions offered to chose a course of action that suits them.
One newsletter suggested that you write an ‘Ed-op’ opinion to your local news paper. [I thought you had to be ‘somebody’ before you could write an ‘Ed-op’ piece for a paper.]

Why would you say that? He came about it honestly, he worked for it. He didn't beg for it, promising God's blessing if you donated something. You paid your money and you got a movie he paid to produce. Gibson paid to make the movie out of his own pocket. Don't like the idea? Don't pay to see the movie. Don't hold it against Gibson if most of the planet wanted to see his movie and paid him for it. I have only been able to watch it once myself.
I tell you one thing that needs to happen. Every story like the 19 year old stabbing death, and the reasons for it, should be plastered over every network, paper, and magazine. Why isn't it? Why aren't we shouting ourselves horse about this type of thing?
This whole business is building toward a fever pitch. When will this repulsive code of ethics and politics mascarading as a religion get exposed for the sham that it is? I hope it happens before this stupidity causes a civil meltdown and a lot of innocent albet mislead people get hurt, stuck in a camp, or killed by their family members.

I remember the motherf**ker well, and, if he IS out of jail, I hope that the wife and his kid hunt 'daddy' down and gives him the same type of loving treatment he tried to bestow on them in return. In spades.
And don't forget that this December 6th is the 15th anniversary of the (almost never mentioned) worst mass-murder in Canadian history -at the University of Montreal, where 14 women were gunned down and stabbed to death by a 25 year old "anti-feminist" Muslim named "Marc Lepine" (born "Gamil Gharbi" of an Algerian immigrant father and ex-nun Canadian mother).

The writer on this site finds the LACK of mention of this historical crime suspicious, and gives what he suspects are the reasons for the 'hushing up' of something that you would think might have traumatized the mild-mannered country for a generation.

When there's a custody battle over a child with dual US-Swedish nationality, the Swedish Foreign Ministry fights like a tigress in her prime when her cubs are threatened. My guess is that the unwiped butts of "revolutionary" Third Worlders are the last thing sacred to them--especially when those revolutionary Third Worlders have lots of representatives in the streets of Stockholm ready to export their "struggle for justice" in all its maniacal fury at the drop of a hat.

In point of fact, dual nationality, while many refuse to recognize it, is a common question for many a consul and the foreign ministry (or State Department) that employs him. Many countries have jus solis and jus sanguinis citizenship; and put high bars to loss of nationality (the US, for instance, limits automatic loss of nationality to taking policy-level positions in foreign governments).
If those kids were born in Sweden to at least one Swedish parent, my guess is that they are Swedes (unless Sweden, bless its silly heart, might have some legal provision that limits transmission of nationality to the father). It really seems that Gamle Sverige is bending over backwards to please radical Muslim opinion.
