THE Scottish Executive has rejected calls for an inquiry into the racially-motivated murder of a 15-year-old boy six months after police abandoned an operation to tackle the problem of Asian street gangs.Operation Gadher, set up to tackle the growth of Asian gang culture in the South Side of Glasgow, was dropped at the end of last year because it was not deemed politically correct.
In March, Kriss Donald was snatched from the street in Glasgow by a gang, simply because he was white. He was bundled into a car and driven more than 200 miles to Dundee and back to Glasgow before being stabbed 13 times and set on fire while he was still alive.
At the High Court in Glasgow yesterday, Daanish Zahid was found guilty of his abduction and murder.
Despite the awful nature of the crime and the potentially damaging effect it could have had on community relations in the ethnically diverse Pollokshields area, the Executive is refusing to carry out an inquiry into policing there. A spokeswoman said: "We have no plans to conduct such an inquiry. However, how the police conduct the matter is down to them."
Bill Aitken, a local Tory MSP, urged the Executive to carry out an inquiry and said: "When it comes to justice and police, there must be an even-handedness. We must ask the question, if an Asian teenager had been murdered by a white gang in such a charged atmosphere, what would the Executive’s response have been?"
Margaret Smith, the Liberal Democrats’ justice spokeswoman, said: "I shall be seeking reassurance from the minister as to why [Operation Gadher] was wound up and I would hope the police can reflect on whether this was the right decision or not."
Norman Brennan, the founder and director of the Victims of Crime Trust, said: "As a police officer of 26 years service, I can safely say that the majority of officers are sick and tired of political correctness. It prevents us from doing our work properly, from the street right up to homicide. I think it’s about time police chiefs stood up and said ‘enough is enough’.
"They should be unshackling officers and letting them do their job."
Zahid was also found guilty of attacking Kriss’s friend Jamie Wallace, 20, as the pair walked along Kenmure Street in Pollokshields, four hours before the murder, and the jury of eight men and seven women convicted him of attempting to defeat the ends of justice by setting fire to the silver Mercedes used to abduct Kriss.
Oh dear God Almighty! How sick and depraved and utterly psychotic is this? Just because he was white, he was basically tortured and had to suffer a horrifying death. His poor mother! Is there something in the water that makes authorities and the press so brainless as to give Muslims a pass? We all know that a caucasion or non-Muslim perpetrator would be pilloried and summarily excuted with the press trumpeting charges of racism and hate and would write his name in the book of infamy for all time.
This situation demonstrates the great peril of our time: up is down, in is out, and "Asian gangs" (read Muslim, terrorists, Islamists, whatever) have taken charge. The gangs don't have to be dress in leather, ride Harleys, or sport ponytails; they can be in Årmani suits, arrive to the Halls of power in Mercedes and B-Mers. The result is the same.

I would really like to know what the local Islamic leaders did in response. I wonder did they publicly condemn the murder (I suppose they did); did they condemn it in the local Mosques? Did they do anything to make sure that won’t happen again in their community? I’m just asking this because everybody (especially the Islamic leaders) are so quick to blame violence on the western society’s failure to accept and integrate immigrants etc, so I wonder if they did they bit to help the immigrants assimilate as well.

Describing this murderer as an "Asian" deflects attention from the religion of the murderer and insults the million or so peaceful Hindu Sikh Buddhist and Christian South Asians settled in Britain.

The killers WERE moslem. al-BBC ran a long piece on the story including several quotes from a local moslem "community spokesman". He said the gang were just a "tiny minority" of the local moslem youth (sound familiar ?) and that if they had had better employment prospects then they wouldn't have been in gangs (so it's our fault for not giving them jobs). The spokesman also blamed "rap music" (once again moslems blame everyone and everything else except their own sick culture). BTW three of the other killers escaped back to Pakistan, probably with the help of the local moslem community. The MSM have more or less ignored this story as a white kid was the victim

If the problem is that they don’t have normal employment prospects, than what about tens of thousands of people in the UK, who don’t have good employment prospects? Why aren’t there non-Muslim terrorists coming out of the council estates? Where are the teenage mothers, and long term unemployed committing raging acts of terror?
My cousin is a long term unemployed, and a social outcast, you could safely say that he doesn’t have good employment prospects, and on the top of it he loves rap music, and he even had a conviction for handling stolen goods, so why isn’t he running around committing acts of terror? And if he did do such thing would any community leader stand by him and blame the music he listens to, and his employment prospects?

I read a letter to the editor in our paper a while back where some Muslim complained that Muslims suffered high unemployment rates because of 'racism'.
