This morning I found this email in my Jihad Watch inbox:
i want u brothrs to continue your holy jihad adainst the coward jews, they will defeat and u will win this battle. Merajuddin From afghanistan,
That's all it said, but that was enough. Of course, Merajuddin is not the first Muslim jihadist to mistake this site for one that is pro-jihad. It's interesting, however, to get a renewed indication that this mindset is alive and well -- even as Merajuddin must jostle for space in my inbox with indignant blinkered Westerners who lecture me for not knowing that jihad is a spiritual struggle within the soul of the believer.
BWAHAHAHAHA
Mr Spencer,
Maybe you should consider poitely enquiriing bqck about what this guy thinks about the recent bout of democracy in Afghanstan etc...
Merajuddin has demonstrated (albeit - poorly) that he has made an effort to read and write in the infidel's language . . . he can probably read this too . . . اللغة العربية؛الفصحى .
How many of us can?
Well, it's always good to know you have fans all over the world, Robert. :D
Let 'm keep posting this garbage--it's an education in its own right!
Justamom, would you mind translating the Arabic? I'm dying of curiosity!
The spelling and grammar are spectacular. If only we could all have a "no terrorist left behind" madrassa education.
cubed asked : would you mind translating the Arabic? I'm dying of curiosity!
- wish it was something clever - alas, it is but a cut and paste from wikipedia . . .
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabic_language
Literary Arabic, al-luġatu-l-ʿarabīyatu-l-fuṣḥā (Literally: the pure Arabic language—اللغة العربية؛الفصحى) is both the language of present-day media across North Africa and the Middle East (from Morocco to Iraq) and the language of the Qur'an.
I was using the internet in my local library in London. I could access www.jihadwatch but when I tried to click onto dhimmiwatch the computer wouldn't let me, saying that is was censored by the borough as hate speech.
I'm beginning to suspect that sites with jihad in the title might be allowed as they assumed to be pro-Jihad but those with dhimmi in the title are banned as they are assumed to be anti-dhimmitude.
I'm far more afraid of the 'enlightened' Westerners who queu up to lecture Mr. Spencer than I am of a semi-literate Afghani. And Elephant's post exactly proves my point. Especially in the UK, where you have imams encouraging their followers to do a Beslan in a British public school- what is wrong with people?
Elephant, what you experienced is quite common. I work for the Canadian gov't and many good websites challenging Islam are off-limits on my work computor.
As far as Jiahdis misinterpreting the prupose of this website.....it's most understandible. As a good Chatholic theologian once told me; 'sin makes you stupid'. When it comes to the 'prophet'....boy has he sinned!

And don't forget that it's also a struggle for social justice and womens rights!
It is 1:15 pm.E.time and in a few minutes they will have an interesting segment on Fox News Live, about the attack on christianity, here in the US,compared with the religious persecution the christians are facing in muslim countries.
They have invited a guest who is a christian and has lived for some time in an islamic country...it should be interesting.
Robert Spencer was one of the two guests!!!
The other one was a christian(at least that was he said)pakistani, naturalized in the US,who studied at a catholic school in Pakistan.
He said that the christian persecution in muslim countries is comparable with the muslim persecution in christian countries.....wich is ofcourse nonsense.
Robert Spencer was ok,but i think he should have been a little more explicit.
The good news is that to even have such topic debated on TV is a big step forward.
The name of this website was also mentioned as well as the titles of Robert`s books.
I still think that Robert should change the name of this website,to make it clear to everyone it is an anti jihadi forum.
Just the way the jihadist from Afghanistan mistakenly believed this was a projihad site, people who are interested in learning about the dangers of islam, could be deterred from visiting this website, and miss the opportunity to join us.
The other guy seemed a little too forgiving of Islam for me to believe that he is a real Christian. He also tried to spin terrorism as having to do with poverty. Robert Spencer tried to set them straight. I hope that the viewers learned something from Mr. Spencer. If nothing else but to come to Jihadwatch and really find out the facts.
To the brother nown as sPencer, bless u for resisting the infidel, it take nerve of steel to do jihad in the hEArt of dar al harb, Allah willing, ur eFforts will prevail. Ur in all our prayers...

got a feeling we are all missing a very important point. That is when coming back from some battle, can't remember which one because there where so many, but Mohamed said something along these lines that, the fighting was over and that was the lesser jihad, what exactly did he mean about the greater jihad.
ROBERT
A Christmas message from Afghan Mudjahadin! Wow, who's a lucky one... Please DON'T change name of this website. A good comment about us Infidels being too lazy to learn Arabic, maybe we ought so we can understand what the enemy are saying about
us.
Guys, I think you're missing a very different point: DON'T access this site from your work computer! DON'T give anyone any information to work against you. That's not how insurgency goes. Access from home, fine; but don't give anyone anywhere opportunity to dismiss you from your job. I mean, we're talking CANADA here, for God's sakes!
Caution!
Geoff
Geeez kc, I guess cubed isn't the only one that gets overcome by curiosity. Interestingly, it is far easier to find an 'english to arabic ' translator than it is to find an 'arabic to english' version.
'Twas not easy to find a 'free' online Arabic/English translator . . .
After spending far too much time searching, I located a web link that offers 5 free translations (http://www.systranbox.com/systran/box)
Systran translated your statement as:
درس اللّغة العربيّة في الكلّيّة, لذا يمكن أن أقرأ ما كتبته .
"The Arabic language in the college studies, therefore be possible to reads what his writers"
Thanks kc, point taken. . . . :)

Hi there justamom;
Well I'm not that far along in my Arabic lessons, but that Systran thing didn't do a very good job!
I think the online translators translate absolutely literally, and you just can't do that with language, (especially not Arabic!)
OK; from right to left;
أدرس اللّغة العربيّة في الكلّيّة
"Edresu al arret al arbia fee al koliat"
" I study the Arabic language in college"
لذا يمكن أن أقرأ ما كتبته
"Lethah ekan ena eqrah mah kitabeta"
"So I can read what you've written"
Great British regards justamom;

I just got finished reading the October 2003 archives. There were quite a few muslims trying to convert the readers. There is a lot to learn in the archives.
January 10th on HBO,the movie-documentary "The Hamburg cell" about the 9/11 attack.
I just hope it`s not going to be one of those watered down-not to offend muslims-liberal jurnalistic version of the truth.

Fellow JW/Dwers:
I don't know how many of you visit LGF, but I just HAVE to post this story I read there. You may see this on a couple of threads; I apologize in advance for the repetition.
The sentiment accompanying this story that I wish to convey to you is . . . Merry Christmas.

Hearts and Minds
Go read this post at BlackFive from a Marine Gunnery Sergeant in Iraq, and know that we have friends: The Heart of America.
As you know, I asked for toys for the Iraqi children over here and several people (Americans that support us) sent them over by the box. On each patrol we take through the city, we take as many toys as will fit in our pockets and hand them out as we can. The kids take the toys and run to show them off as if they were worth a million bucks. We are as friendly as we can be to everyone we see, but especially so with the kids. Most of them don’t have any idea what is going on and are completely innocent in all of this.
On one such patrol, our lead security vehicle stopped in the middle of the street. This is not normal and is very unsafe, so the following vehicles began to inquire over the radio. The lead vehicle reported a little girl sitting in the road and said she just would not budge. The command vehicle told the lead to simply go around her and to be kind as they did. The street was wide enough to allow this maneuver and so they waved to her as they drove around.
As the vehicles went around her, I soon saw her sitting there and in her arms she was clutching a little bear that we had handed her a few patrols back. Feeling an immediate connection to the girl, I radioed that we were going to stop. The rest of the convoy paused and I got out the make sure she was OK. The little girl looked scared and concerned, but there was a warmth in her eyes toward me. As I knelt down to talk to her, she moved over and pointed to a mine in the road.
Immediately a cordon was set as the Marine convoy assumed a defensive posture around the site. The mine was destroyed in place.
It was the heart of an American that sent that toy. It was the heart of an American that gave that toy to that little girl. It was the heart of an American that protected that convoy from that mine. Sure, she was a little Iraqi girl and she had no knowledge of purple mountain’s majesty or fruited plains. It was a heart of acceptance, of tolerance, of peace and grace, even through the inconveniences of conflict that saved that convoy from hitting that mine. Those attributes are what keep Americans hearts beating. She may have no affiliation at all with the United States, but she knows what it is to be brave and if we can continue to support her and her new government, she will know what it is to be free. Isn’t that what Americans are, the free and the brave?
If you sent over a toy or a Marine (US Service member) you took part in this. You are a reason that Iraq has to believe in a better future.
