California: Town Hall meeting to address targeting of Muslims

On Monday, December 20, a coalition of community, interfaith and civil rights organizations will host an emergency town hall meeting to discuss what they say is the unfair targeting of Muslims by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

What a load… if you are looking for IRA terrorists, you go to where the Irish hang out…. If you are investigating French Mafia in Canada, you go to Quebec to talk to the French…. If you are looking into black gangs in LA… then you check in with…. Well you get the picture…. Sooo.. if you are after Islamo terrorists then you talk to Muslims.

This is called survival. The part of the country that either isn't aware of the problems these people bring with them, and the ones who choose to ignore it need to wake up and recognize the facade of peaceful Islam.

If the Muslims don't like being looked at like they're criminals, let them remove those who are from their death cult. Until then, too bad for them. Muslims can't have a free ride anymore. Their lies and deception have caught up with them.

Now they go to our schools, attacking the precious young minds of our kids. This needs to stop immediately.

I have grown so wary of interfaith gatherings. All the so-called "Christian" participants water down everything, and they almost certainly give every nasty movement out there the benefit of the doubt. If people want to know about my religion, they can buy our books and come to our churches--for we don't have deep, dark secret teachings we're trying to hide from view; and we try to be courteous to any guests who visit. I'm not going to go somewhere where the ground rule is to denature it to a kind of least-common-denominator moralistic (of the constantly shifting kind) Unitarianism (I'm a Trinitarian, anyway).

I'm not for throwing bricks at "swarthy" people (I'm a tad that way myself) or vandalizing mosques; nor am I sure we have to start carrying out expulsions as in Spain after the Morisco revolt. But there does come a time when you have to admit that certain sections of the population have to be asked hard questions.

The truth is right in front of these people. Pick up a copy of the koran or go to the many sites on the internet and read what they believe. I know that many Christians want to believe that Islam is like a different Christian denomination. It is nothing like Christianity- it is the opposite of the faith of G-d. Wake up! Time is coming where we will not have the edge, they are gaining in population and influence, and we have stupid people wanting to help them in our own destruction.

It is quite interesting, and useful, to monitor what CAIR slanders as incitement - their Incitement Watch is quite illustrative of their attempts to stifle and misrepresent critical analysis of Islam.
It shouldn't be overlooked that CAIR never attempts to debate or refute the content of these articles - they are merely labeled "incitement" and left at that - what does that tell you about their desire to "encourage dialogue"?

The foundation-stone of our concern seems to be made of cotton-candy. Over and again we read that the Moslem community is organizing this and that and the other thing, and in response we bluster and bemoan.

What is the problem with the Western World's population? Why do we sit day after day reading horror stories, all the while awaiting "The Big One"? We know the Moslem world is determined to commit murder against us. There is no doubt. You have a chance of being one of those who dies. Your children could well be murdered, and you know that's true. Those who would kill you and your family openly encourage the destruction and death of your family, and yet we do nothing to protect ourselves from that eventuality. I have to ask: "Why?" What is it that prevents us from organizing among ourselves a collective group working as a resistence to Islam in our midst?

I am completely stumped here, and I'd like some feed-back. Can anyone suggest why it is that we, who know so much and are so totally aware of the urgency of the threat against us, we do nothing at all. I'm missing something here, and I'm not getting it on my own. I need someone to explain to me clearly why we do not organize. Will someone please let me know what the problem is?

How can anyone not love America, and loving it not defend it? I hardly get home in these past 30 years of being on the road, and maybe that's why I love America as much as I do, not because I don't see the flaws: I see the rest of the world in comparison.

When is this same group going to address the unfair targeting practices of Islam against non-Muslims? (Never, we think?) Which would be the case with the Qur'an's targeting of Jewish persons for murder, discriminatory practices of Islam against followers of all other faiths...which would include the people of this inter-faith council calling the meeting.

Sonofwalker: I so agree with you and your feelings, I have the same concerns as you, I view most of the people in this great country as deers standing on a dark highway with a large truck barreling down on them and there blinded by the headlights and they're just standing there waiting to be splattered on the highway, I have looked for organizations that might have formed to try and stop the muslims, these people are like cock roaches, one day you see one or two and then a few days later there's hundreds of them, and there just spreading, and like cock roaches we have to stop that spread.

sonofwalker, maybe you missed my post of last week, but I have had some modest success with my church project. I contacted fifteen churches within a twenty mile radius of my house. (There are an abundance of churches in this area!) I made appointments with the pastors and took a sample of my leaflet about Islam, and asked permission to leave the leaflets in the church foyers. All but three of them gave me permission on the spot; one refused, and two had to ask a higher authority. Both of them later called and said it was ok. So out of fifteen, I left leaflets in fourteen churches and six of them have called and asked for more! All this cost was the price of printing the leaflets and the gas it took to drive to the churches.
I have created three new leaflets, adding new information to each one. After Christmas, I will call on some more churches. It's a small start, but as I said, there are plenty of churches and potential leaflet readers! I provided my name and phone number to all of the pastors, this info is not on the leaflets. I've had a rough year and I'm not up for death threats right now, but I might add my name and phone number later. I'm thinking about it. There aren't too many muslims around here yet, but who knows what tomorrow might bring?

That is exactly what many should be doing, all over the Infidel world. The governments have abdicated their responsibilities out of fear or wilful ignorance, or a combination of both. So it is, alas, a matter for private citizens, foundations, institutions. Perhaps you will post somewhere the contents of those pamphlets, so that they might be printed out, and copies made, by others.

Do you include a short list of suggested reading, or of 4-5 websites that should be consulted (and remind them that the best websites have archives that can be easily retrieved, and that do not date).

That article is extremely distressing. Notice that -- other than overestimating the number of Muslims in Australia (the horror!) -- the Judge does not argue that Pastor Scot has actually misrepresented any of the beliefs or objectives of Islam. Rather, the menacing transgression is that the ministry's seminar, newsletter, and website "made fun of Muslim beliefs and conduct". Did the Judge even bother to read the passages of the Quran or Hadith that serve as the basis for Scot's claims about Islam?

Judge Higgins said that, during the seminar, Pastor Scot had claimed that the Koran promoted violence, killing and looting and that Muslims were liars and demons.

My Merriam-Webster defines a demon as "a source or agent of evil, harm, distress, or ruin". Given the literary and historical accuracy of Pastor Scot's other claims, can one really censure him for suggesting that Muslims are demons?

UK Action Alert: Bishop Richard Harries of Oxford

On this morning's 'Thought for the Day' on BBC Radio 4 (For those of you not in the UK - this is BBC Radio's flagship current affairs programme) the Bishop of Oxford saw fit to discuss the merits of Turkey joining the EU. With entirely predictable results.

According to him (wait for it) - It's the Christian thing to do! Apparently respect for the 'other' demands it. Oh yes and it would strike fear in the heart of Islamists as it will show them what Islam 'properly understood' really is. Besides, said the bishop, no disconnect whatsoever between Islam and European values.

It is especially the Islam 'properly understood' bit that got me. Besides this 'proper understanding' leading him to ludicrous positions on the effect of Islam on the West; it is just plain arrogance! What he is basically saying is: "I have seen Islam and it is fuzzy, warm and kind. Just like me in fact." No matter that those who study Islam all their lives come to totally different conclusions. I'll be the arbiter. Case closed.

The clincher was that he used Kemal Ataturk's magnanimous statement to mothers of dead allied soldiers after WW1(They are our sons...) as proof of how 'properly understood' Islam looks. No mention of the fact that Ataturk is the 'bogeyman' of the majority of those who claim to 'properly understand' Islam in Turkey.

People (especially those who should know better!) should not be allowed to get away with this kind of insipid nonsense anymore. They either need to be challenged or educated.

Please help me in doing the following:
* Write the Bishop a respectful letter challenging his position.
* Send him a copy of 'Islam unveiled'.

Suzan, I'm distressed at the Australian ruling, and plan to write the Australian Ambassador in the US and their rep. in Taiwan.

I wrote to the Bp of Oxford, suggesting that it would be appropriate for Turkey to admit and apologize for the Armenian genocide and stop harrassing new Evangelical churches in Turkey (descendants of Muslims, not Dhimmi). I also made it a point to thank the Anglican communion for its illustrious history in Sinitic Asia.

With all due respect. Posts like yours severely limit the possible effect of JW/DW. This is a war that will not be won by military means. Mention any sort of ‘Final Solution’ and (besides it being morally abhorrent!) see people heading for the door in horror! Our biggest asset is intelligence and information. If however this information is interspersed with calls for brutality and indiscriminate killing we can just as well shut up shop before we start. People will come here and just be confirmed in their prejudices that those who oppose Islam is just a bunch of radical nuts. Hugh, my leaflets are very simple, one page lists of Islam's most offensive characteristics. I have designed four so far, with large-lettered titles to elicit attention.
The Baptists are the most avid readers thus far.
I listed four website links, JihadWatch included, of course. They're in the trunk of my car. I'll scan one tomorrow and post it.
I was uncertain how they would be received without a name or some type of sponsorship, but the lack thereof does not seem to matter. I wanted them to be provocative enough to make people curious and want to know more. I'm new at this, so I just did it instinctively. The purpose of the leaflets is to encourage people to learn about Islam by visiting the websites.
A priest called me today and asked if I would talk to his superior from Savannah next week. I agreed, although I feel like I might be stepping out of my element. I've always been somewhat intimidated by the hierarchy of the Catholic church; those big guys scare me and I'm not an expert on Islam by any stretch of the imagination, although I do know what's bad about it. But he has piqued my curiosity, so I'll go.
I think churches will be invaluable allies in this endeavor, much more helpful and sympathetic than the news media.

Honor killings are good for Islamic women and girls. A family’s honor is more important than the female’s freedom.

The Jordanian women voted to keep Honor Killings. It is thought that it was more difficult for the men – who were responsible for carrying out the merciful act.

An Islamic woman’s worth is in her virginity. With all the things that today’s woman can accomplish – from being an astronaut to running a country as Prime Minister – it all comes down to ‘Are You a Virgin?’ – No one ever asks the men.

If an Islamic woman looses her virginity outside of marriage – even through rape – she might be killed or discarded at best. A single piece of skin – separates her from the rest of humanity.

An Islamic woman can work outside the home – with her family’s permission.

Islamic women are not so smart – they need to be controlled – it is for their own good.

Many Islamic women are kept illiterate – as with slavery – it is a lot easier to control those who can not read.

But the Koran doesn’t say this…………….

Islam is perfect and so should not be challenged.

September 11 / March 11 train bombing / Beslam siege / the beheadings – expose an underbelly of the Islamic faith which many never expected – existed. Starting with Saudi Arabia – young people in the Islamic World are taught to hate and possibly to kill – those who do not fall under their religious faith – in state run schools.

Perhaps Saudi Arabia’s desire to gain control of the West – equates to having us all face East while praying.

CNN’s ‘Inside the Middle East’ invites viewers to visit Iran – for a vacation. About one week later, Iranian government officials openly call for ‘Death to the Americans’. Does CNN think that maybe the Canadians and British can still go?

Islam is being portrayed badly by the world’s media.

When pressed – on China TV – about the death of Chinese workers in the region – the Pakistani Prime Minister said – Islam is a religion of companion, tolerance, love and moderation – he went on to site the Palestinian Crisis as the underlying cause for all Islamic violence. (Even the three attempts on the Pakistani President’s life?)

Peaceful protest worked for Gandhi in India and Martin Luther King in the US and after 40 years considerable progress has been made – but this probably would not work for the Palestinians. Living in rubble is good.

Sudanese leader tells group of Arab League in Egypt that – Israel – is responsible for the Brown skin Muslim against Black skin Muslim – Darfur crisis.

Is it true – that nonviolent Buddhist Monks have to walk with armed guards in Thailand – because they are being attacked by Islamic people and at least one of these Monks was found beheaded? I am sure these same Buddhist Monks will have all Muslims in their prayers.

Are the armored tanks parked outside Saudi Royal families’ homes – there to protect them from the – Freedom Fighters / Terrorists / American Infidels / Israeli Invasion?

Islamic countries repress all information – including that of the News Media and Scientific programs – in favor of high religious content and the glorification of the leaders.

How long will we be dependant on the oil?

How long could the Middle East remain prosperous on the illusionary Islamic Science – without the oil revenues?

At the moment Saudi Arabia can afford its eccentricities – but they may prove too expensive – in the future.

Besides oil – we know that there is also a large market in black cloth in ‘The Kingdom’.
