Dhimmitude at ABC: Is Islam Endangering 'Europeanness?'

Many people have sent me this ABC story, but I haven't been able to get it to come up all day -- probably because of a Drudge link. But at last it has come in, and Ixnay has kindly sent along some helpful commentary.

Here is Ixnay:

This is one of the worst apologist articles I have read in a long time.

The story starts out innocently with small lies, but there's a big
payoff at the end. Here's what ABC-news author Leela Jacinto claims:

In the Netherlands -- a country famed for its relaxed attitude to everything from pot smoking to prostitution -- at least 14 Muslim buildings and schools were attacked in the troubled days following the killing of a Dutch filmmaker by a suspected Islamist extremist. Postings in online chat rooms showed a rising anti-Muslim feeling. "Today is the day I became a racist," read one typical message. And when a TV contest recently asked viewers to name the "greatest Dutchman ever," they chose Pim Fortuyn -- a self-avowed anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant politician who was killed by a white animal rights activist in 2002.
And here's the truth: Pim Fortuyn was NOT anti-Muslim or anti-immigrant. [I might add also that the "animal rights activist" who murdered him said he did it for Dutch Muslims.]
Although Fortuyn was part of a new wave of Dutch politicians and often perceived as an extremist, he insisted he was not like Jean-Marie Le Pen and wanted nothing to do with the French far-right leader.

He was at pains to point out that he was not against immigrants, but he questioned their ability to assimilate into a liberal and racially tolerant culture and argued immigration had to be curbed in order for the Netherlands' liberal social values to survive.

"My policies are multi-ethnic and certainly not racist," he said. "I want to stop the influx of new immigrants. This way, we can give those who are already here the opportunity to fully integrate into our society."

In a recent interview, he argued: "In Holland, homosexuality is treated the same way as heterosexuality. In what Islamic country does this happen?"

Fortuyn's platform seemed out of place in the ultra-liberal Netherlands, which he argued was full up with 16 million people.

While not advocating deportation, he criticised the country's estimated 800,000 Muslims for not embracing Dutch life and said government benefits should be restricted to Dutch speakers.

Though tolerant of such subcultures, Fortuyn targeted a deep vein of
suspicion of immigrants and also blamed them for a rising crime wave.

He said: "I'm not anti-Muslim. I'm not anti-immigrant. I'm saying we've got big problems in our cities.

"It's not very smart to make the problems bigger by letting in millions more immigrants from rural Muslim cultures that don't assimilate. This country is bursting. I think 16 million people is quite enough."

That's from http://archives.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/europe/05/06/fortuyn.profile/

More from the ABC News story, with some comments from me:

"There is definitely a rise in Islamophobia across Europe," said Liz Fekete, deputy director of the London-based Institute of Race Relations. "Muslims collectively are being blamed for the attacks on the World Trade Center, and there is a general punitive climate toward Muslims. This has manifested itself in a variety of ways. On the ground, there has been a rise in racial violence on Muslim targets across Europe. And the biggest problem is that the scale of the problem has not been acknowledged," Fekete said.

You know what else hasn't been acknowledged? The extent of sympathy among European Muslims for the WTC attacks and other acts of terrorism. "Islamophobia" is on the increase in Europe because non-Muslim Europeans suspect, with good reason, that Muslim immigrants intend to remake European societies as Islamic states, in accordance with Islamic law. But that, of course, is the 800-pound gorilla in the living room that ABC just can't quite see.

Since the end of World War II, Western Europe has been widely viewed as a bastion of internationalism, moderation and social progressiveness -- a haven of affluent, eco-conscious citizens in stark contrast to the perceived unilateralism and parochialism of the United States.

But across Western Europe, immigrant and civil rights experts say a xenophobic, anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim wave appears to be gripping a region once famed for its tolerance.

Incredible. Why are they picking on these poor innocent people? No one knows how many of them want to establish Sharia states in Eupoe, but who cares, right, ABC? After all, in ABC's Chomskyite/Saidist paradigm, non-Western people can't be the perpetrators. They can only be the victims.

Note how absurd the writer makes these concerns sound. Germans threatened by a measly two percent? Sounds like Hitler all over again, right? Until one considers that Milestones, unlike the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, is no forgery.

More from ABC:

Europewide statistics on the extent of anti-Muslim attacks are hard to calculate. While Germany saw a 40 percent increase in reported racist crimes last year, and the London-based Islamic Human Rights Commission has recorded a 13-fold increase in backlash complaints in Britain since the 9/11 attacks, such figures are difficult to collate in countries like France, where ethnic origins of complainants are not recorded.
Comments Ixnay:
Yessir, we're on a roll now! Obviously ABC writer Leela Jacinto believes that if the "London-based Islamic Human Rights Commission" says it has recorded a 13-fold increase in backlash complaints in Britain, those numbers simply must be true and must therefore not be questioned. But oh! Sadly the U.S. must also be given some credit:
"I don't want to give the United States too much credit, but it is true that in the three years after the Sept. 11 attacks, the U.S. continues to have a citizenship program that is far more speedy and accessible for people who meet the requirements," said Julia Hall, senior researcher from Human Rights Watch's Europe and Central Asia Division.
Surely this is just a glitch in an otherwise brilliant study in dhimmitude. And yes, soon enough we're back on track - maybe this Julia Hall is one of the "experts" who warn that
the lack of political representation, coupled with a growing intolerance of Islamic culture, increases the risk of increasing extremism among Europe's young Muslim population. Certainly, the existence of the Hamburg, Germany, terror cell -- which planned the 9/11 attacks -- as well as growing evidence that the March 11 Madrid train bombings were masterminded by Islamic extremists in Spain have increased security concerns in Europe. But Muslim community leaders say it's unfair to castigate all of Western Europe's estimated 12.5 million Muslims for the actions of a few. They point that contrary to popular European belief, extremism among the continent's Muslims is not widespread. According to a report in the British magazine The Economist, for instance, out of about 1,500 mosques in Britain, only two were known to be run by extremists.
Ah, all's well then. Just 2 out of 1500 mosques spread extreme hate. ("Look mommy, only two buildings full of people who are encouraged to kill us!") The message to the ABC News readers seem to be that whatever atrocities Muslims commit, them Europeans had it coming. Mustn't be intolerant of those Muslims, or they'll kill us all in the name of multicultural diversity. Just like the Jews did, when Europe was intolerant of Jews. Wait - Europe still IS intolerant of Jews. But where are the Jewish suicide bombers? Oh, sorry - mustn't ask those difficult questions. Be a good dhimmi now. For here's the best part of the story:
If the Dutch government had prosecuted van Gogh for his racism, he may have been alive. I'm not saying that anything, absolutely anything legitimizes a killing, but we also need to limit hate speech -- on all sides [says Massoud Shadjareh, chairman of the Islamic Human Rights Commission].
So it's like "Look, I'm not saying anything, but you know what I'm saying, don't you? You'd better toe then line, because otherwise something really bad could happen to you. Or it might not. But why take chances?"

Thanks, Ix.

((They point that contrary to popular European belief, extremism among the continent's Muslims is not widespread. According to a report in the British magazine The Economist, for instance, out of about 1,500 mosques in Britain, only two were known to be run by extremists))

I dispute that right away. Muslims have just become savvy and know when not to mouth off in public. But they still believe Al-Qaradawi are his ilk are 'moderate'. I suppose they have degrees of moderation if fascist movements too.

This Leela Jacinto self-described "freelance journalist" writes mostly about Asia and the Middle East and is one of the many anti-Israeli, pro-palestinian, multi-cultural idiots the broadcast networks are now using to get material.

Oh, she may do an occasional article about the horrors of honor killings but of course, that nasty habit "pre-dates" islam.

And ABC's Peter Jennings is the worst multicultural, elitist, arrogant dhimmi talking head of the lot. I was at a football game recently where an ABC ad aired on the giant screen and Jennings appeared. The man had the nerve to say that "if I can HELP people understand what's going on in the world, I've done my job," or words to that effect. I remember the HELP part distinctly. Jennings, PLEASE.

((If the Dutch government had prosecuted van Gogh for his racism, he may have been alive. I'm not saying that anything, absolutely anything legitimizes a killing, but we also need to limit hate speech -- on all sides [says Massoud Shadjareh, chairman of the Islamic Human Rights Commission]))

The most sickening thing I have read in ages. Truly, the lunatics have taken over the asylum.

What a disgusting report. One-sided, biased rubbish. Trying to make everyone feel dirty and guilty for not being thrilled with mass Muslim migration and their evil beliefs and actions. Muslims being blamed collectively for 9/11? Well, not hard to do given the celebrations in the street afterward, and then over the past few years more and more reports saying that many of them, not just a few, but many of them either said it was a good thing, said the US had it coming, or won't even accept that it was Muslims who did it. And then we've got parents naming their kids Osama and thinking he's a great guy, a hero. And groups proudly calling the putrid mass murderers of 9/11 the "Magnificent 19". Gee, does that give you a clue as to their "collective" feelings on the matter?

And that final comment by that grub at the Islamic Humans Rights Commission (ROTFLMAO! Islamic "Human Rights" LOL!) is vomit-inducing. Smug, arrogant grub. "Racism" indeed. Prosecuted for it? For what? For revealing what your filthy little cult gets up to. What "human rights" do those women have? Which "human rights" exactly does your grubby little group look after again, Mr Shadjareh?

Feralee

I share your disbelief at the "Islamic Human Rights Commission".

What a joke!

Islam does not believe in human rights. Human Rights are a construct and outcome of the Enlightenment project, and are a culmination in the Western inspired belief in Universal Humanism.

Islam does not believe any humans have any rights innately because they are human. They believe Muslims have rights given them to Allah. Kaffirs have few rights, but that is in line with Allah's gift, and is comparable, in Islamic thought, to the rights of animals, lesser species, ie: non Muslims

Women of course, well, they have few rights, as you know.

One day a journalist will put these questions to these taqiyaa preaching Muslim leaders. I woould love to see that happen. But where are these journalists?

Hate speech? There was nothing in "submission" that incites or could be interpreted as "hate speech".

Go ahead and make a movie about female circumcision: Will that get you killed as well? What's the difference?

Make movies about "honour killings" or how Muslims in Europe sell off their 14 year old doughters to 60 year old men for breeding in the middle east for $$$$, after all, women are just 'chattel'... will that bring a "fatwa" on you ??

Bringing it out into the open is what this is all about. And we are not calling to kill muslims in the street, nuke Mekka and wipe out the middle east before they can get us...

It is muslims worldwide who call openly for the destruction of Israel, to kill all Jews, to destry America, kill all infidels...

Strangely, the coin just doesn't drop. Muslim propaganda and PC is what undermines all efforts to expose them for what they are - and combine that with intimidation and the cry of "racism"- then you need thick skin to do something about it.

But we will...

Pressure will beget counter pressure, and a seed will grow into a tree. Our movement will get stronger, and knowledge of Islam and the Qu'ran will bring about change. Sooner the better...!

"...out of about 1,500 mosques in Britain, only two were known to be run by extremists."

In December 2002 (if I remember correctly) the UK's Q Magazine did a survey amongst British Muslims. 10% said they would support a terrorist attack on Great Britain. 10% = 150,000 "British" Muslims.

Everyone (especially Keith-Joy),

We will make few inroads on this appalling bias as long as these discussions are mostly confined to right-of-center websites like JW.

It may feel good to share our thoughts with other anti-jihadis, but it's time for us to apply our tools of persuasion towards the left. I know that writing letters to the NYT, Washington Post, ABC, NBC, and see BS is about as gratifying as throwing rocks down a bottomless well. These are long-shot deals, but I can think of one sure bet; the progressive weblogs.

If you have the courage to rhetorically beat back the Islam-bots who proclaim on this forum that "our grandchildren will be Muslim," then navigating these cesspools of post-modernism should be no big deal.

Unfortunately, one of the worst offenders (the Democratic Underground) regularly bans conservatives (I was bounced from the DU after only two posts!). I have however by chance found a more reasonable progressive website called the Raw Story (www.rawstory.com). Even though many of the articles in The Raw Story disgust me, I credit the editors for having the courage to allow conservatives to participate in their discussions. Click on their forum section and you will find among the many forum categories there is one that is called "The Right Stuff." This forum is moderated by a conservative who goes by the moniker of "Sacman." I am currently participating on a forum thread titled "The Assault on Fallujiah" (under "The Right Stuff"). Check it out. It gets a lot of views.

If you are a conservative PLEASE don't flame your opponent. On a liberal forum it is totally counterproductive. If you want to start a thread on a hypersensitive topic like Islam, I suggest you approach it sideways by using related topics like Van Gogh's murder or Wahhabism. From there you must use NUANCE and SUBTLETY to lead these liberals to the truth. Please be on your best behavior. We don’t want them to use our blunt rhetoric as "evidence" that we are "bigots."

If you are a liberal anti-jihadi, your orientation is particularly valuable. Only people like you can show your fellow liberals from the start that it is OK for liberals to criticize Islam. Only people like you can start your anti-jihadi posts outside categories like "The Right Stuff," thereby eliminating the right-wing "stigma" from this life-or-death topic. The conservatives at JW may disagree with you on many matters, but they will give you all they support you need for this noble undertaking (and besides, the elections are over ;-)

In the final analysis, just because we lack the tools to de-program the Muslims does not mean that we cannot persuade their biggest enablers. Mark my words, when they lack dhimmis to humor them about the "peacefulness" of Islam, some Muslims might actually read the Koran, in English.

Peter Jennings is by far the nastiest and most sinister of the news commentators on American television. Brokaw and Rather are giants by comparison. He has always been famously anti-Israel, and got his start early -- in Israel itself. He is a Great and Good Friend of Hanan Ashrawi (and has a wonderful way of consoling soon-to-be widows of dying senior colleagues), and shares her world views. What he did after 9/11 was most instructive. Jennings took it upon himself to interview, and to offer a forum for her to tell her story to the world, to -- Hanan Ashrawi! And Hanan Ashrawi did just as Jennings knew she would. She told the American people, as his usually narrowed eyes expressed sympathy and understanding, that 9/11 was the result of a handful of fanatics, and had nothing to do with Islam, and of course the basic problem was, bien entendu -- Israel. Nothing about his coverage since shows the slightest interest in, much less knowledge of, the tenets of Islam -- or the threat posed by the islamization of Europe.

ABC is now spending a fortune to get Jennings more attention. Well, he certainly deserves more attention -- but not the kind ABC has in mind.

REVERSE EVERYTHING -

That seems to work in this article.

Blame the victim of a ritual slaughter.

Blame the hosts for not allowing the guests to throw them out of their own house.

Blame everybody for everything -but their own maniacs for sowing mayhem globally. And for promising a world-wide terror State, ruled by the ramblings of a Bronze Age pedophile and his Hadithic followers, once they gain Power.

I came across this piece by accident last night, looking for the latest reactions to Van Gogh's murder, and thought:

Who are they trying to get to bend over for the p.c. enema of 'white-is-black' sophistries?

Who buys this transparent nonsense anymore?

"Racist" cannot apply to a religion. The word is
"anti-cultist". The cult is the Koran.

Read it. And weep.

WAY WAY WAY OFF TOPIC...
... but this really gave me a chuckle, and I just had to share. Instead of chuckling, perhaps I should contact the wax museum in London of my outrage and offense to my Christian sensibilities for this photo of a nativity scene:

will also get you there.

Tried to see if this was in the BBC site, in the UK section, but all I found was yet another Muslim complaining about how her Muslim sensibilitiies were offended in receiving maternal care in a Manchester public hospital during birth. She complained "Throughout the pregnancy I think there was just a general disregard to the fact that I was a Muslim" (I really didn't know Muslim women gave birth any differently from the rest of us women) and raised charges of racism because the doctor making the rounds at the time she was in labour just happened to be male. The male doctor in question thought there may have been complications in labour that required immediate medical attention, ah, the "ignorance" of Western medicine, putting treatment above belief.

I sent her this email...

Congratulations on your piece entitled “Is Islam Endangering 'Europeanness?'”. It represents a marvelous example of dhimmitude.

I like this part the best…

“Since the end of World War II, Western Europe has been widely viewed as a bastion of internationalism, moderation and social progressiveness”

Islam is not conducive to either “moderation and social progressiveness” which perhaps explains the backlash against it.

“a haven of affluent, eco-conscious citizens in stark contrast to the perceived unilateralism and parochialism of the United States.”

You need to read this…

http://conservativelife.com/blog/index.php/General/2004/10/26/not-all-muslims-were-created-equal.html

I can’t believe they let you publish such rubbish. You clearly have an agenda and are the one suffering from ignorance.

Fortuyn was certainly not LePen. He did not hate immigrants. He did think that the Netherlands needed to restrict immigration of Muslims. He did not tolerate their intolerance of him. ABC's report is ridiculous.

Everybody please chill! Hope I don't get flamed for this, but we all need to cool out. The article was slanted, apologetic, offensive to the US, and was a superb manifestation of dhimmitude. That said, when was the last time that ABC News presented an article about the conflict between muzzies and Euros? On the plus side, it seems that MSM is presenting more of the muzzie/izzie problem than they have before. That's a good thing. I trusted Americans to see through the MSM's crap about Bush, and I trust Americans to see through this crap too. ("I don't want to give the U.S. too much credit...." F.U.!!)

I'm sending a letter to ABC and Ms. Jacinto thanking them for presenting this information, saying I hope to see more in-depth articles about these conflicts, and I'll politely point out one or two places where they screwed up. There's not much point in ranting and raving to ourselves (well, it does feel good to vent). We need to effect (affect?) change in our society. And you never persuade anyone by insulting them.

God bless to all. I love reading this website and all the comments.

Lisa I read the link about the poor muslim bi#$h in the UK who was whining with gusto about the selfish insensitivity of the hospital staff. Poor dear, nobody gave a crap that she was a muslim; they were busy taking care of medical matters, ensuring that she spawned her little heathen alive and lived to raise it. How crude of them! What crap! If she was in her native sand pit, she probably would have had her future jihadist on a dirt floor with an unqualified midwife in attendance. As soon as she cleaned up the mess, she would have been at the stove, if she had one, preparing dinner for the indifferent papa. But he probably would have been in residence with one of his non-pregnant wives, unaware that another pathetic member of the miserable ummah had arrived to embark upon its life of hate and discontent.
These people are unbelievable! They think the world should conform to their ways, everything is all about them and their disgusting culture.
I feel more contempt and revulsion for them every day.

I can't believe the comments from that whiny brood mare on the BBC either. It just takes the @#@#@# cake!

Her sick brat probably would have died in the poverty-stricken Al-Crapistan she came from, but she has the absolute gall to complain about the free, First World medical care she gets in the West, because it doesn't revolve around her and the insane requirements of her 7th Century cult.

To be concerned about hijab while undergoing a difficult birth! And no gratitude whatsoever for the male doctor who helped save her baby's life. And the Beeb expects us to feel sorry for this monsterously selfish sociopath.

That male doctor should have just left her alone; maybe she would have had problems that left her unable to bear any more Ummah-bots. "Sorry, I'm just a sub-human male kaffir who can't touch the precious vagina of an oh-so-perfect Muslim woman. I'll just have to let you bleed to death. Allahu Akbar!"

And Lord forbid if some non-Muslim woman suffers a serious complication while the medical staff is busy worrying about satisfying this self-absorbed cow's myriad religious requirements. But then again, non-Muslim women are worthless under Islamic law so who cares if one of them dies while the only available doctor is reading a 29-page booklet of Islamic rules and regulations?

These people absolutely define the word "arrogance." A picture of this woman belongs in a dictionary next to that word. Grow up you stupid cow, the rest of us learned long ago that male doctors don't get turned on by looking at their 10 thousandth nude female body, let alone one that's 9 months preggers.

Good morning everybody from the Islamic Republic of France!

...Don't complain TOO much about the report in question.

Such a report could never have been shown here in France. Why, the sharia killing of Theo van Gogh was barely reported here. When I talk to my zombie neighbors about it, they say "huh?", and when I go into detail about what happened, they just ask me to shut up and not be a racist...

"If the Dutch government had prosecuted van Gogh for his racism, he may have been alive. "

Yeah, alive and imprisoned, just as anybody who dares to tell the truth about Islam should... Of course, insisting that the Dutch government should have prosecuted van Gogh for racism for making the film Submission, isn't it only logical that they should also have prosecuted the scritptwriter of the film as well; it wouldn't make sense to prosecute the director for racism while the author of the idea remains unpunished. In other words, we read here that Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the Somalian-born black woman who was raised as Muslim and experienced a lot of Islamic violence herself (and saw a lot of it while working as translator for the social services for immigrant women); should also be prosecuted of "racism", for criticising the cult which she comes from for the violence she herself has suffered. Which means, in effect, that non-Western immigrants should not be allowed to criticise their original cultures. So, the right to criticize your own culture and society is reserved for the people of Western origin only. Apart from the obvious absurdity of such a claim, isn't it also exposing a racist double standard?

First of all, there is no 'islamophobia' in Europe and definitely not in the Netherlands. That would suggest there is an irrational fear for muslims based on ignorance. Trust me, we know everything there is to know about Islam and the more we learn the less we like it. Basically all the muslims we see and hear either sympathize with terror attacks against the West or issue veiled threats that soon they'll be in a position to throw political weight around. I think the much talked about 'moderate' muslim is either an extinct species or a Lochness monster because we rarely spot one.

Secondly, there were a few 'attacks' on mosks and islamic schools. Those were not serious attacks, only one school was burned down and guess what...it looks like muslims did it themselves to create a backlash against people like Hirsi Ali. Another school that was vandalised, radical lefties that wanted to incite hatred towards rightwing groups. The bomb that exploded outside the islamic school? Someone with a foreign accent warned the police hours before that something was gonna happen. Did they mention that churches were vandalized as well?

They talk about racism. Funny how all we ever hear is about muslims and young blacks attacking white people. Robbing, raping, murdering...the jails are crowded with blacks and muslims (the majority of the prison population is of foreign descent), their victims are predominantly white locals. How is that about 'racism'? The sicko's on the left have decided that criticizing Islam is an act of racism, even when the most vulgar hatred towards the West and us locals is spewed by white Dutch muslims.

The only thing that has not been acknowledged for all these years is muslim aggression towards locals, towards our women, towards our gays, towards our jews. Antisemitism in Europe has not been acknowledged, they either swept it under the rug or tried to pin the blame on rightwing groups. The fact that the left has kept a lid on this combined with their real irrational fear of White Europeans having a say in their own destiny, culture and countries has led towards a backlash. But people like Pim Fortuyn, Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Geert Wilders are not by any stretch of the imagination 'racist' or 'bigots'.

All these people want (or wanted, in Fortuyn's case) is debate the role of Islam in modern society and close the borders to more immigrants from non-Western countries for a couple of years to give the ones already here a chance to integrate and participate. They want to give more power to the people and not have politicians make decisions for them every step of the way especially when it comes to things that effect our cultural identity like immigration.

The left still doesn't get it. They just won't let go of this multicultural fantasy. For example, a female student recently wrote a paper on how Holland is supposed to deal with the immigrant population. She states that the Dutch need to get rid of their cultural identity and show more respect for what immigrants bring to the table. "You can't expect immigrants to adapt to Dutch culture." She also claims that this fear of Islam is 'irrational'. Guess she was too busy writing her paper to pay attention to the world collapsing around her. And these people are being listened to while people like Van Gogh, who have a clear understanding of what's really going on in the world, are killed on the street.

Why do journalists like Leela Jacinto try to distort reality? Why do those people never seem to care about the real victims like Fortuyn and Van Gogh, like Wilders and Ayaan, like all the people victimized by those thugs in jail and on the streets? There is no bloody racism in Holland, if there is then it's hatred towards white inifdel locals. People like Jacinto are dinosaurs, they don't belong in this age. They simply don't understand the world around them.

Leveller wrote:

"Why do journalists like Leela Jacinto try to distort reality? Why do those people never seem to care about the real victims like Fortuyn and Van Gogh, like Wilders and Ayaan, like all the people victimized by those thugs in jail and on the streets?"

Because they have Angst to hear and to see reality, they don't want to face it.?
It is easy to follow the herd.

Why indeed do the Leela Jacintos of the world, feministas, "social democrats", gays etc., find their sympathies with anti-feminist, anti-democrat, homophobes like the Taliban, Hamas or the Iraqi "insurgency"?

Because they see themselves as victims and wish to validate their own status by identifying with the perceived victims, no matter how fraudulent or misplaced the claims of victimhood are for either party.

People believe what their friends and family believe, for the most part. There's no point in arguing with people individually in the hope you'll change their minds about this or that. People follow the crowd. If you want to change people's ideas, change the crowd.

To change the mind of the masses, one must start with those who are sympathetic to your message, reaching to the choir. When the choir fdorms, the audience comes to listen. Don't think your voice in the wilderness, regardless of how well-informed and articulate, will sway anyone. No one, well, let's say few, want to be different from the crowd. Find those who are already willing and ready to support your anti-jihadist platform, and gather them to gather their friends. Only a crfowd will attract a crowd.

There's little reasoning in a crowd. There's little point in talking to a person who believes what others say if he's not with you now. You will spend all your time on one person who might later agree with only some of what you said, and then he'll simply talk your ear off for no good purpose. Changing one's mind isn't really a rational decision. It happens mostly when the crowd changes its mind. Make that crowd happen.

I will once again suggest a campaign of leafleting, not because I think you'll gain supporters due to the vividness of your images and the brilliance of your writing, not because you have a truth others miss and long for: a leaflet campaign will draw out those who already agree with you. Those will become your friends over time, and they will create a nucleus of a movement that will in turn become the crowsd that will create a sea-change. Chasing these rabbits who come across the screen here on occassion, it's a waste of your time. You gain nothing even if you convince them of your point of view. Forget them. They are worthless. Preach to that choir. Pass out pamphlets showiung how others can reach you for direct conversation, for face-to-face meetings so they know you're real and sincere. Gather. Join hands. March in the streets in time when there are hundreds. But start with those who are already convinced that things are desperately wrong. You can find such people every day. Set up a meeting for a casual cup of coffee. You are a missionary here friend, and those you approach are in need of you. If they aren't then go on to those who are. Don't waste a moment with anyone who isn't there already. Save the willing, and the rest in time will do what the majority is doing, those same now who won't listen to you.

We have a responsibility to save our fellows from slavery and destruction. It's a Human responsibility, regardless of where you inclinations lie in deciding where that comes from. You have a responsibility to save those who can be saved. You must do that to fulfil your role as a moral person. But you also have a right to do so. No one can tell you that you are wrong to save those who can be saved. It is your right to do Good. No one can take that right from you. It is always yours. That is part of the joy of being Human. We are blessed in that we can do right for the world of others and ourselves. It's as simple as meeting a new friend.

Is it impossible to meet those who are afraid that their children's schools are infiltrated by Moslem propagandists? Not hardly. Is it too tough to meet those who are afraid to walk around the neighborhood in the evening? Not at work. People are frantic to meet you and to hear that they're not alone in this concern for their lives and communities. Don't deny them. It's your right to do your part to save the world as far as you're able. What more could you ask for if you prayed all day? Meet your friends, and make new friends. You'll soon have a whole crowd.

How many does it take to make a crowd? Look at the nature of rulers: all groups are lead by few, and they rule many, not one on one, but by consensus, even if that consensus if brought about and maintained by fear. 100 men will rule any nation. All others will follow because few are like ibn Warriq and Thoreau. The world couldn't stand more than a few such men in every generation. Most peole will do as they are told. Gather up 100 people and you can make a difference so great that you will be in shock. With 100 men you can rule a nation the size of Europe.

But to start, you must begin by making one committed friend. I've often suggested that we hand out pamphlets as a way of finding new recruits for this campaign against Islam. I've expressed concern that one must be tough enough to withstand the meeting of a recent convert to Islam who's recently released from prison. That's dangerous, and not for many. I've recommended that one leaflet at military bases where the reception will be more sympathetic among men and women returning from Moslem lands, people who saw first-hand the nature of the evil that is Islam, but those who have no clear idea of why it is such as it is. You will meet people who will be eager to hear your message, and they might well become your friends, as well. I've said on these pages that you might meet concerned parents at PTA mesetings. Thgere are many likely places for you to go to hjand out pages of facts of Islam showing what it truely is rather than the ABC version of Islam. those people will become the beginnng of your crowd.

Recently it came to my attention that it's far more effective to attach our da'wa to something positive as well as the negative of showing what Islam is: that we can combine our message with a charitable drive, that we can melfd the exposure of Islam i\with the feel-good of sending books to Arab children. People will want to look for you if they feel they can do some good rather than simply worrying that the end of the world is near. Therfore, I urge you to begin piecing together the ideas we can use to create the Jihad Watch Charity Drive for Iraqi Babies/Death to Islam campaign.

If we combine the positive with the necessary exposure of Islam, we will have a more than willing crowd coming to us. And when the crowd gathers, the on-lookers will come as well. The crowd will gather, the p.c. morons will start signing a whole new tune simply because it's the latesst thing. And then the crowd will grow again.

I look forward to reading your contributions to this idea, if indeed it has any worth in the marketplace of ideas. I'm willingly at the service of anyone who has a plan we can act on. Judging from the quality of writing and thinking here I'm sure we will have the start of a mass movement that will over-shadow even the movement of Old Hippies for the Preservation of Spotted Crickets. Yes, there are people who will join any damned silliness, and if we present something wsorthwile, we will in time rule the whole world. Look what that creepy pedophile did. We gotta do better than that.
