Islamophobia's Big Day at the UN

A report on the UN's Islamophobia seminar from Alexander Joffe of Campus Watch at FrontPage:

The United Nations has a justly deserved reputation for catering to extremists of every sort and for entertaining not only extremism but distortion as part of its everyday fabric. Nowhere was this more on display than at the recent seminar on 'Islamophobia,' forced upon an all-too-willing UN in exchange for holding a seminar on anti-Semitism earlier in 2004. Conceived as part of a series on "unlearning intolerance," the seminar aimed to confirm prejudices of the Islamic world toward the West, and especially the United States, as the sources of all Islam's failure and weakness.

The tone was set from the top, by the aristocratic Kofi Annan, whose platitudes included the ritual assertion that Islam is not "monolithic," and stunningly, that questioning the compatibility of Islam with democracy, modernity and womens' rights were forms of Islamophobia. The "Other" was invoked, along with Islam's 'tolerance' for Christians and Jews (as legally defined second-class citizens), as was the qualification that the "historical experience of Muslims included colonialism and imperialism by the West, both direct and indirect." Terrorism and violence "in the name of Islam" were merely cases where a few give a bad name to the many.

Not only has Kofi Annan ingnominiously failed to defend human rights in places such as Rwanda and Sudan, now he has chosen not to promote them as well:

And I guess Mr. Annan won't be participating in any campaigns such as this since it could be construed as "Islamophobic" in OIC countries:

http://www.amnestyusa.org/stopviolence/index.do

Kofi Annan has thrown down the gauntlet: he will not defend the human rights conventions established by the United Nations if they conflict with Islamic doctrine.

Then Koffi is a Muzzie after all, or is he not?

Terminator:
I would prefer "duplicitous dhimmi", myself - he reminds me of the Eastern patriarchs who meekly surrendered their people and lands to the Arab horde 1300 years ago (see Bat Ye'or's "Islam and Dhimmitude").
I think it's become clear, between the failures in Rwanda and Sudan, the Oil for Food scandal, and now this, that Mr. Annan is more interested in maintaining his position and status than fulfilling his duties at the UN. As has been pointed out, only Kurt Waldheim's tenure could be considered worse than Kofi Annan's failed leadership.

Terminator:

I answered your same question on another thread. Kofi Annan is a Christian, from the Fante tribe in Ghana.

Kofi annan is one helluva SOB.

Rumour has it that corrupt bureucrats and officials the world over keep his potrait in thier offices and even his photo in their wallets. He's their idol, you see. Stealing $$billions in one the biggest ripoffs ever and getting away scot free...every venalist's dream.....

In fact in some of the more egrgiously corrupt countires like pakistan, bangladesh, indonesia, Brussels etc, the demand for his potraits and pictures has put even the cheap-labor's China's printing factories under strain!

What's more the personality cult thing has also taken of bigtime. Evey son of every high officialin every corupt govt dept everywhere has taken a special liking, bordering on main for a certain kojo annan.... His potraits are selling lik hot cakes too. And his vociferous denials of any wrongdoing while pocketing measly amounts of $25k a month for doing nothing from a swiss company itself involved in the oil-for-fraud ripoff has become amongst the hottest ringtone downloads in these circles its reliably learnt....

let's all also take our hats off and bow and salute to perfection - wherever it maybe found.

In case ppl didnt get this rant..../sarc off.

OUR ASSESSMENT OF KOFI ANNAN:

1-) He is a willing accessory to (and indeed participant of) Islam's current global jihadist war against the non-Muslims.

2-) He was an accessory to Saddam Hussein's embezzlement of US (an estimated) $21,300,000,000.00 from the UN Oil for Food program. It is highly probable that both he and his son profited off the deliberate starvation of Iraqi civilians by Saddam Hussein's regime.

3-) The man is a liar in (ironically) true and absolute accordance with Qur'anic verses that permit him to deceive non-muslims in order to effectively submit these 'infidels' to Islam via jihad. Islam is NEVER compatible with democracy even under the best of circumstances. Present-day struggling Islamic democracies such as Indonesia or Turkey are likely living on borrowed time as islamist insurgents make inroads ever-further into these nations' institutions. Annan is certainly aware of this 'to the max.'. His guiding hand of firebrand anti-Americanism is alomst certainly designed specifically to paralyze the world community in its efforts to successfully resist jihad, as he is aware that the United States is one of the few entities on earth strong enough to disable Islam's global jihad. Discrediting the US is a potent jihad strategy and one Mr. Annan has been applying successfully for years.

4-) The CIA should assassinate him ASAP.

I never had any problem with Islam until Muslims started their campaign to get the Quran in the classrooms and workplaces to educated us non-Muslims that are pre-supposed to be Islamophobes and racists.

Maybe all Muslims immigrants should be forced to take anti-terrorism workshops to purge them of their pre-supposed stereotype of Jihad and terrorism for Allah.

I read the whole article and am speechless. It just disgusts me. This UN session was nothing more than a bunch of Islamic taqiyaa merchants and their pathetic, grovelling appeasers patting each other on the back, kissing each other's behinds, with the stupid dhimmi non-Muslims ingratiating themselves with Islamics for God knows what reason (nefariousness or just plain stupidity?).

Basically we have to sit here and accept what they tell us. Don't criticize. Don't question. Park our brains, pride, dignity & freedom at the door. Accept our history being whitewashed and Islamified. Accept being called racists by a bunch of super racists for daring to stand up to them in the past. Just swallow the BS happily and say thank you. For to do otherwise, is ... oooooh, shock! horror! ... ISLAMOPHOBIA!!!!!!!!!!!

It's sick, evil & frightening. Almost like it's surreal. This CAN'T be happening. I have lost all respect for the UN, and think even less of that Arab Uncle Tom, Kofi Annan. I spit on him.

All civilized countries should declare al-United-Nations a terrorist organization.

Is Kowpoop Annan a Muslim?

Considering joining up with Islam, oh Vatican?

Consider one thing. Islam does NOT worship the Judeo-Christian deity Yahweh. Any Christian that seriously considers aiding Islam in any way shape or form had better consider the consequences. Yahweh, the Judeo-Christian deity commanded His followers not to put any other entity before Him.

Assisting Islam, and deferring to the Islamic world's leaders, would be doing just that. Any Christian who would do this would likely have to answer to Yahweh for it.

We say, 'forget it.'

Azizah al-Hibri, who managed to be hired by a law school, one where the innocent hiring committee no doubt thought, as it interviewed a real life Muslim woman who presented herself as interested in "women's issues and Islam" which they, in turn, took to mean she was a real fighter for woman's rights, and so this Defender of the Faith was confused with Azam Kamguian and Ayaan Hirsi Ali and other real defenders -- not of the belief-system of Islam but of women's rights. Al-Hibri, sour and dour, appeared at a previous conference, on March 31, where among the questions asked her was one about the imposition of the shari'a on Muslims in Canada. She was not quite as outragous in her remarks that day as she was in her taqiyya and nonsense at the U.N. One wonders what has happened -- perhaps she was awarded tenure and now she can rip the mask off and go full-throttle. Check her website, www.karamah.org (nice faceless faces in some of the boxes). She has invited Condoleeza Rice -- who no doubt also has been fooled into thinkinig Al-Hibri is a fighter for women within Islam, and not a committed apologist for Islam, whose description of it -- in Islam there is "freedom of thought" and "freedom of speech" and guess what, she drags out yet again some of the abrogated or most misleading verses ("there is no compulsion in religion") without any mention either of abrogation, or of 1350 years of mistreatment of non-Muslims, and lack of freedom of thought and speech for Muslims, that refute almost every word she uttered.

But she deserves special treatment. So more anon.
