Judge Awards $156M to Dead Teen's Parents

Just in from AP, with thanks to Teri:

CHICAGO - Three Islamic charities and an alleged fund-raiser for the Palestinian militant group Hamas were ordered Wednesday to pay $156 million to the parents of an American teenager killed by terrorists outside Jersusalem.

A federal jury deliberated for one day before awarding $52 million in damages to the parents of David Boim, shot down at a bus stop eight years ago. U.S. Magistrate Judge Arlander Keys then tripled the damages.

But it is uncertain whether the family can collect much money from the defendants, some of whom have had their assets frozen by the government.

Joyce and Stanley Boim, parents of the slain teenager, showed no emotion as the jurors announced the verdict. Their attorneys smiled broadly.

Before the trial started, the judge had found the Texas-based Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, the Islamic Association for Palestine and alleged Hamas fund-raiser Mohammed Salah liable in Boim's death.

The jury found that the Quranic Literacy Institute of suburban Oak Lawn, a group that translates Islamic religious texts, was also responsible for the shooting.

Now this is the way to do it, relentlessly expose their deceptions and fronts and subject them to the law of the civilised. This is brilliant news.

Any victory against any imperialist islamic tactic is cause for rejoicing.

Don't you wish. No, with our economy in shambles, factories going under, our people being laid off in the thousands, our President thinks we should send the Palestinians $20 Million so they can pay their utility bills! This really gets my goat!!! What in the hell is going on with this? Our troops are asking Rummy why they have to dig through the trash to get armour for their vehicles and we are sending money to the bastards who are rooting for the people shooting at them!!! This is insane. I'm so glad this administration was re-elected. NOT! Revel in your wonderful political victory folks.

Bo Dietl: 'Hundreds' of Al Qaida Fled to Iraq After 9/11
"Hundreds" of al-Qaida operatives based in Afghanistan gained sanctuary in Iraq and Iran after the Taliban fell in December 2001, according to legendary New York City detective-turned-international security expert Bo Dietl.

Dietl first revealed the startling tidbit on Don Imus' Monday morning radio broadcast, sourcing an active duty Navy SEAL who told him that U.S. Special Forces had tracked "hundreds of al-Qaida who had fled to Iraq." We tracked Dietl down a few hours later and he elaborated on what the unnamed Navy SEAL said.
"He starts to tell me about how, right after 9/11, they took them into Afghanistan. They were following, through both satellite tracking and with helicopters, al-Qaida and Taliban escaping into Iraq and into Iran."
Dietl said he wasn't a "rah-rah Bush backer," but he couldn't understand why the White House isn't making more of what he called "smoking gun" justification for the Iraq war.
"Why isn't the American public being told about this?" he complained to NewsMax. "Al-Qaida was in Iraq and we knew they were in Iraq - and that makes our whole sacrifice there reasonable."

Power of Prayer
John LeBoutillier
Monday, Dec. 6, 2004
Prayer is the single most powerful tool we have on Earth.

And yet so many people misunderstand it - or ignore it altogether. Prayer is our ability to talk directly to God - and to listen to God tell us how to live our lives.
Those who ignore prayer - and God, too - are missing the best part of life.
Here is the simple truth: God created us all. But He didn’t stop there. He takes an interest in each and every one of us. He wants us to live a happy life - and a life of service to Him and thus to good causes and pursuits.
When He saw mankind veer way, way off the path, He dispatched his only son to Earth to teach human beings the correct way to live.
Jesus Christ’s short life was full of amazing examples of sacrifice and sharing and goodness and forgiveness.
Jesus’ mission was to serve as a living, human example of the contrast between the ‘right’ way to live and the ‘wrong’ way.
Jesus had to suffer an agonizing death in order to demonstrate man’s cruelness - and God’s belief that serving others is noble and the suffering is a required ingredient to doing good things.
The Bible - the greatest book ever written - in today’s vernacular is a software manual on how to live a proper and productive life.
Replete with examples of bad behavior and subsequent ‘penalties’ for such behavior, the Bible attempts to show us the ‘right’ way to live.
Sticking to this analogy, prayer is ‘tech support.’ In trouble? Call ‘tech support’ by simply talking to God.
You do not have to go to church to pray; nor do you have to drop to your knees and clasp your hands together (although that is also fine if you choose that way to pray).
The key is this: asking God for help is exactly what we are supposed to do!
Do not feel guilty or selfish about asking God for help for yourself! If you don’t ask, who is going to ask in your behalf?
Prayer is meant to be your unique way to communicate with God - directly - not through anyone else - and to tell Him your problems and worries and to ask for help for yourself and for others.
And do you know something? In almost every case, God will answer your prayers. The solution may not be exactly what you at first envisioned, but as you look back over life and reflect on your worst days, you will see that turning to God in those instances almost always helped solve the problem.
Why is prayer so misunderstood?
Because there is not ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to do it and because it is Politically Incorrect to talk too much about it. In an era when Macy’s no longer calls its famous New York City Christmas Tree a ‘Christmas tree’ - they now call it a ‘Holiday tree’ - talking about prayer is just not as prevalent as it should be.
But we all need to realize something: Without God we are nothing.
But with God we can do anything - anything at all.
Prayer is our way of having God help us, guide us, teach us, comfort us and assure us each and every day.
So do not be afraid to have your own private discussion with God. Feel free to ask Him questions and to lay out your worries.
But also do one other thing: listen to His reply which may come in an inner voice, or in your ‘conscience’ or in your inner ‘feeling.’ If it persists, then pay attention to it for He may be directing you.
Conversations - with God or anyone else - are two-way communications. So listening is sometimes even more important that talking.
Prayer is a gift. So cherish this power. And use it wisely.

Lets hope the pattern continues and Muslims see the western justice system in action, the claims by the "Good" Muslims that they're worried about supporting charities because they may be linkedd to terrorism is exactly why the onus is on them to research Islamic Charities to see where their money goes.
Maybe in the MiddleEast the defense of "Ignorance" is allowed because of the mental levels of most Arabs, but here in the West any actions on behalf of Allah are the responsibility
of the human entity doing the crime.

Next the Saudis should get reamed so hard they curse Allah and Muhammed for creating this death-cult that Jesus warned about in his Prophecy of the "False-Prophet" that would bring war and suffering while repeating verses from God to fool the masses that HE is a messenger from God.

This is a victory but as the article so aptly stated, the award may not be forthcoming just yet.

So I suggest that those fat b*stards whose children escape the grinding poverty, the call of "martyrdom" and are sent to European or American University -- we want your firstborn. Give us one child for every one you've had a hand in slaughtering.

They will use every means to avoid paying the price for the blood on their hands.

Blood for blood .....

I may be wrong, but I believe their attorneys can petition the government to release frozen funds to pay judgements.

Wow! This is amazing. I can't believe the positive verdict. I was a bit pessimistic about it when I first heard of this. I wished the parents of the slain boy all the best, but I just couldn't help but think that the Islamics would somehow sleaze out of it. But, I am glad I was proved wrong. There's a light at the end of the tunnel afterall. If nothing else, just the exposing of these "charities" filthy, smelly, fungus-ridden laundry is very, very good.

It would be very good to bankrupt every "Islamic charity" in the Western world with similar lawsuits. Never has one felt such a throb of gratitude to tort lawyers.

There is a similar case now percolating upwards in Rhode Island, about an American couple killed in Israel.

There are also cases, however, where the American government has come in on the side of the offending government. That is what happened, most intolerably, with the lawsuit brought by the former hostages in the Teheran embassy, those held for 444 days (remember Ted Koppel's glory period, before his full banality became obvious?), in the most celebrated case of androlepsy in history.

One wonders about the family of the C.I.A. agent William Buckley, reportedly brought to Iran from Lebanon and then tortured to death there (or perhaps they did it in Lebanon, and brought the corpse to Iran to show off -- anything is possible).

And what about Ambassador Cleo Noel, killed at the direct orders of Arafat? Shouldn't there be a lawsuit brought by his family, to recover some of those billions that Arafat, the "Inventor of His People," squirreled away and now that some of it can't be found, Western taxpayers are supposed to contribute still more to people who have turned themselves into mad dogs of hysteria and hate, with the occasional "pragmatist" such as Holocaust-denier Abu Mazen, who has earned that epithet simply because he realizes that, at the moment, repeated acts of terrorist murder are "not working" -- not that he has ever expressed any moral objections. That would be quite beyond the likes of the "pragmatist" and Arafat henchman Abu Mazen.

Wherever a lawsuit can be brought, it should be brought. For harassment, there may be grounds to go after various aggressive groups in this country that try to silence opposition.

From Bracton to Brandeis, the gods of Anglo-American Law are well-pleased. Better living through litigation.

Judge Awards $156M to Dead Teen's Parents

$156 Million! man... thats gonna leave a mark...

This litigation tactic has been very effective in combating the Ku Klux Klan. So it is only fitting it be used against the right-winged ( abit anti-American, but right winged none the less ) hate groups that make up the global jihad now attacking the democratic nations.

The jihad is manufactured hate , just like the Invisible Empire of the KKK, and it takes money to set up the hate infrastructure of mis-information and terrorist activities. Take away the money that supports that infrasturcture, you take away the magnet drawing hate mongers or fools influenced into becomeing hatemongers and suddenly the hate movement starts to evaporate.

Now if we could only focus our attention to what is going on in the Mosques.......

Nossy

Even if the Boim family won`t be able to collect, this verdict is more valuable than the money in question, for creating a precedent.
A great precedent indeed.
Islam in western countries has learn rather quick how to adapt and benefit from the democratic laws of the free world.
Now it is our turn to find a way to use our legal system against this cancer,to drain off its financial resources,to expose the horror of it in the process, and to rid our great country from the malignant tumor.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the best news I've had in a long time. Kick them where it hurts, kick hard, and kick often. I am so happy for the Boim family. Nothing will bring back their child, but perhaps knowing that they're helping to save another child will give them some degree of comfort. Man, did I mention just how much I love lawyers?!

...Taqqiya meets the rule of law...

This is great news. Let's all think of each and every way that we can possibly sue Islamic institutions. When the weather gets icy...let's all "slip and fall" in front of the Saudi Embassy!

Watch out Mohammed...here come the lawyers!

Wow, it's unusual that justice is done in favour of the victims of muslims.

I'm sure there will be an appeal, but if the award stands, just imagine it - funds donated by muslims for "charity" to other muslims going to a Jewish family!

It's too exquisite for words!

>THAT IS THE ARMY NOT LIKE THEIR GRANDPARENTS THEY >ARE ALWAYS WHINING AND SHAME ON THE PRESS!!!

So you actually think that the army is WHINING because they have to ask why they have to dig through the trash for armour? That is obsurd. You no more support our troops than shit. You're a back-seat driver, an arm-chair quarterback, and a non-participant who is just brave as all hell to send _someone else_ into harms way and then insult them, call them whiners and worse when they ask for proper equipment. You stink.

AS FOR YOUR GOAT GO ROPE THAT SUCKER!!

You are so clever and funny! Did you even think about what you read? So it doesn't bother you in the slightest that we are sending $20 million tax dollars to the damn Palistinians? Not at all? Are you that brainwashed?

YOU WHINEY BOY??

Are you an ignorant bitch?

f.g.

I believe in our current legal system, these pigs will need to put the 156 million up front before they can appeal the verdict.

Let's see where their money comes from.

>I believe in our current legal system,
>these pigs will need to put the 156
>million up front before they can appeal the verdict.

Wow, is that really true? It would be great if it were. I have never heard of that requirement. It seems in the past when when large amounts get awarded the victims still have to fight for years upon years before they see any of the money. That is ... if the people they won against can be proven to actually have the money to take, ie. O.J. Hopefully, these poor folks will get to see some of this money before they die.

f.g.

This is great! Not because of the money, per se, but beacuse jihadi guilt has been recognized by the courts. Could be a precedent setter.

Let's hope the judge's middle name is Kevlar.

Owward Jewish Lawyers!

And their willing accomplices- the Western world- in literally bankrupting this alreadry spiritually bankrupt dogma.

Let the appeals begin!

And let the press cover it like white on rice.

Exactly, treat them like the klan and and make them go broke.
As for the rest, Look, one can support the troops and throw up thinking about our esteemed leader. Don't confuse one with the other.

We just finished a drive for money to buy equipment for a friend who had been CALLED BACK after serving a year, and is headed to Iraq.

This pansy draft doging leader we are stuck with needs to get his nose out of corporations asses and give the troops what they need!

eneri,

Hoo-rah. Well said. My sentiments exactly.
