LONDON : Radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri, who is in a British jail on incitement to murder charges, is to sue welfare officials for thousands of pounds (dollars) in extra state benefits, a newspaper said.Hamza, who is due in court next month on incitement to murder charges, claims he has been denied benefits worth 200 pounds (290 euros, 389 dollars) a week for nearly three years, The Sun newspaper said.
His family are already taking in benefits worth over 1,000 pounds a week, it said.
Meanwhile, he is kept at the taxpayers' expense in jail, has his own personal nurse and even received a new hook worth 5,000 pounds, which is in place of his missing hand, it said.
A jail source was quoted as saying: "He has a cheek."
Ah, the British. Still masters of understatement.

The reason Abu Hamza, known as Hooky, is here in the UK in the first place is down to the European Convention on Human Rights, which states that you have to give asylum to anyone who is likely to be killed back home.
In Hamza's case this is for his part in a terrorist atrocity in the Yemen for which if found guilty he will be executed.
Im not sure why Blair signed agreed to this legislation in the first place, though three possible explanations come to mind.
1) Blair doesn't want the UK to stick out like a sore thumb from our EU partners too much. We have been seen as the country that is always dragging its feet, for example over the single currency.
2)Pressure from the Left who are typically the well meaning but ill informed manipulated by the well informed but ill intentioned.
3) Both Tony and Cherie Blair were lawyers as were many top Labour politicans so this could be a case of jobs for the boys.
Needless to say the ordinary British are very annoyed about the situation.
Hamza's fight for extra benefits is just a form of economic jihad.

This photo should be used against anyone who says Christmas symbols are offensive to people of other faiths because the most extreme Muslim in the UK obviously loves getting in the festive spirit.

In America, asylum laws are crafted so we can keep out anyone who might be claiming "political asylum" as a cloak for criminal activity back home. Frankly, I've decided to rename Abu Hamza Hooky Chutzpah Hamza, since he's just like the proverbial guy who, when being tried for brutally murdering his parents with an axe, pled for the court's mercy on the grounds that he was an orphan.

Wow thats almost $2000.00 a week US his family is taking in....if thats the rate of welfare in the UK I am surprised anyone even works. I was not aware that anyone was entitled to welfare benefits while they were in prison being supported by the taxpayers...and that brings me to the question...why hasn't this POS gotten a job (other than ranting and raving about the death of infidels) since he has been in the UK, furthermore why doesn't his lazy cow of a wife(s) have a job and help to support their 25 little future terrorists? As for the govt buying him a hook worth 5000 pounds...I think perhaps there would have been public donations if they had gotten him a 5000 pound hook instead.

He hasn't got a job because in fairness there aren't many jobs you can do with no hands even if he wanted to work.
Also I think that he and his wife are trying to milk the benefits system for as much as they can in order to economically weaken the enemy ie this infidel country.

Perhaps he is disabled, however there are many disabled people who do work, some because the government doesnt pay enough on disability to support them and others because they want to be a useful productive member of society. He seems to manage pretty well without hands and I am sure if he looked hard enough he could find some type of employment, for sure his wife(s) could find employment. Why does the government not force his able-bodied wife to seek employment, welfare is supposed to be a temporary solution not a life long career.
Well, he's absolutely right. He really does deserve a much more opulent lifestyle. Obviously, the taxpayers in the UK can't afford to keep him in the style to which he's become accustomed, so - tickets for all right back to Yemen. Anyone remember the Purim story and what happened to Haman and his sons? I'd like to see history repeat itself in Yemen, and real soon.
