BANGKOK (AFP) - Thai authorities said Thursday they have arrested four Islamic teachers accusing of masterminding "terrorism" in the kingdom's violence-racked south.The four, detained in sweeps Tuesday and Wednesday in the south, were charged with treason and terrorism which carry the death penalty, the Southern Border Provinces Peace-Building Command said.
Its head General Sirichai Tanyasiri told AFP the four, all of whom taught at private Islamic schools in Yala province, would be flown to Bangkok Friday to appear before a criminal court.
"These suspects are key mastermind figures, especially Waeyuso Waedoramae who ordered the theft of government firearms and the attacking of government officials as well as innocent civilians," the command said in a statement from Yala.
The reason Islam will triumph is due to their ability to breed, train Muslims and export Islam from the far reaches of the globe, faster than our ability to even maintain our own population levels. Additionally, we REJECT our heritage and culture, while Muslims celebrate obscure battles from their early history in their kindergartens as stated here yesterday.
I think we deserve our fate.

I sense your despondency. Its a cycle I've been through too. Bottomline, I believe is that we'll win but like Ali Dashti said, at great cost.
(Fair enough, it cost many 1000s of lives because the west acted late against hitler. Imagine Britain and France joining hands with Poland to stop the bastard when he first invaded czech..?)

As for the arrestede islamic teachers in Thai, well its a beginning. Good news is that teh imams and madrassas CAN be tamed as the example of singapore proves. There. no foreign funding to religion is permitted (bye-bye to wahabi petro$) and mosques are monitered by the state (as are churches and temples, outta mere tokenism). That, I believe is the way to go. Recognising and implementing the singapore model.
Germany is already floating trial balloons in this direction by iinsisting all mosque sermons be in german. Nicholas sarkozy in france openly talks about state support to mosques (and churches) so that their reliance on wahabi funding can be officially and permanently severed.
Things are changing, eh?
It's going to be a long, hard, uphill battle, but we will win. Eventually .. I hope so.

Andrew, Islam cannot win, because it is a lie. I say this even though I'm not for mass deportations or cutrailing rights. Amy religion that calls Jesus "Messiah" (al-Masih) but subordinates his mission to a later so-called prophet is simply based on misunderstood words, and not divine revelation. Also, a book that presents the Christian Trinity as God, Jesus and Mary rather than Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and says that the Jews honor Ezra as "Son of God" in the way Christians so honor Jesus is also the product of an ill-informed human imagination; not the all-wise mind of God.
Perhaps the West will go down for its arrogant apostasy after the Christian God showered blessings on it. But that will only mean that one say, the Chinese and Subsaharan Africans will shake hands in the ruins of Mecca; or Islam will crack open and crumble on its own.

May you have a joyous remembrance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who reigns by his Word and Spirit from heaven; and to whom all authority in heaven and on earth is given (and isn't it great that the true ruler of the universe does not command his followers to rob and murder?).
This little article should be the main artile on every front page on every news paper news paper in Thailand,so then there cant be no excuse for misunder standing of the meaning behind the message that the Thias tried to send to the a few weeks ago to the muslims in the south.
The Muslims should take this as a final warning,if they should explode just one bomb,kill another monk,police or any body else,then I suggest Thaksim order a full out war.the first thing the thias should do is to demolish every mosque as the thia muslims have already shown that the mosques are not only a place of worship

Sadako Sasaki, exposed to the A-bomb in Hiroshima at the age of two contracted leukemia a decade later, and in 1955 died at the age of 12. Believing that folding 1,000 paper cranes would cure her disease, Sadako folded one after another in her hospital bed. After her death, her classmates at the Nabori-machi elementary school conducted prayer meetings to console the souls of many children who were killed by the A-bomb.
