Armanious case on "America's Most Wanted"

Says the AMW website (thanks to Chris):

Hossam Armanious, his wife Amal and their daughters, Sylvia, 15 and Monica, 9 were found murdered in their Jersey City, New Jersey home. They had been tied up, gagged and stabbed to death. Police are trying to determine if this was a hate crime, as the family were devout Coptic Christians.

This is likely to generate more heat than light, but at least it will keep some attention focused on this case, in which there are still many more questions than answers, and a great many troubling elements that seem to be getting short shrift. If you doubt that, just imagine what the press coverage would be like if a Muslim who regularly debated with Christians in a chat room was threatened and then murdered along with his family.

I hope this case keeps getting attention. Where there is heat there is fire.

If a Christian threatened and then murdered a Muslim, the liberal news media and kj would go ballistic. I can hear kj now, “see I told you they are just as crazy as the Islameic jihadist, religion, who needs it”.

The Left sees Muslims as poor people and Christians and Jews as rich people. The Left only associates moral values with class level. To them, poor people are de facto innocent. Rich people are evil. This is why the Left continues to persist this double standard that favors Muslims and shuns Christians and Jews.

I’m glad that the Established Left is losing its monopoly on the media, but sooner is better than later.

Apply Occam's Razor.

If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, waddle's like a duck, it's a flying pig ????????

The disinformation campaign is well underway in Jersey City.

"Suzanne Loutfy, director of the Jersey City-based Egyptian American Group, said the outpouring of anger shown at last Monday's funeral was not indicative of traditional relations between the two religions. "

http://www.nj.com/search/index.ssf?/base/news-0/1106820872224221.xml?jjournal?cj

I don't profess to speak for the Coptics, not being one, but the Coptic community needs to arrive in the media sense and make their stories known. I don't think their relative media silence is out of fear, but lack of opportunity. The Loutfy quote provides the opportunity. Don't let this go by.

Once again, I urge all Christians of all denominations to demonstrate their solidarity with their fellow Christians. To date, to my knowledge, two Christians and one atheist have made a commitment here to go to a Coptic church on Sunday to take part in a vigil of some sort, whether the Copts have one officially or not. If they, their fellow Christians can help them organize vigils.

At least the Christians have so far outnumbered the atheists two to one on this. Good for you.

Coverage of this tragic murder is being portrayed by Muslim groups as inciting hatred against muslims.... A twist on names called incitement watch - hmmmm...

Well, it is true that muslims are poor people in more than one sense. Take away the oil in Arabaia and what kind of wealth have you got ? Exactly - none...

What do you expect from people who pray towards Mocca all day? Who don't have anything else to do than to celebrate their own "masculinity" (talking about muslim men here) by raping or stoning women who they forced the hijab... Indeed muslims are very poor people. Without our reliance on their oil they would have died of hunger ages ago.

I am curious to find out which religious group is the most productive in the Middle East. My bet is Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, other faiths, agnostics, atheists and, finally, - even though the represent the large majority - muslims...

Support non-muslims in muslim lands should be one of our mottos. Not sure how this can be achieved though.

John Walsh could easily be enlightened as to the nature of Islam. Wouldn't it be something if, on his program, he were to tell tens of millions of viewers that, "in Muslim eyes, the Copts in Egypt were dhimmis. That means as non-Muslims, they were permitted to live, and to keep their religion, but historically they were required to...." and "while they no longer pay the jizyah, which was eliminated in Ottoman times under English pressure, the Copts -- who are the original inhabitants of Egypt -- still feel the constant sting of persecution and...." etc. etc.

Now who can contact John Walsh, and get him to find out just a bit more about the background of this story, so that he may be the first, on national television, to fully inform people as to why this was, in all likelihood, no ordinary crime. Nor was it a "hate crime." It was something else: the expression of an attitude deeply rooted in a belief-system, elaborated upon by that belief-system, and acted upon, here in America, by Muslims who believe that they will obey only those Infidel laws that do not contradict any laws of Islam. In this case, the American law forbade murder. But these were Copts, who had dared to attack (blaspheme) Islam, and had not merely been Christians, but proud and even, in the case of Sylvia at Dickinson High School, apparently someone who was unafraid to attempt to convert Muslim fellow students. The American law, at this point, was irrelevant.

John Walsh can help to educate, even just a little, and even on just a program or two, a wide audience. He should not miss this opportunity.

Again, who knows someone who knows someone etc.-- six degrees of separation -- who knows John Walsh?

Not being one to drop in without notice have been trying to visit their web site and check my local area for events at the coptic church here the web site is unaccessible, home page, links, everything.
They may not want strangers lurking around right now.

It's very low-tech for these modern times, but I used a pay phone on the corner to find out where the church is in this city. They didn't have a clue what I was on about. They'll learn.

Copts don't have a lot of experience with national publicity or even of any awareness of them by outside communities. Hey, as Will Rogers said: "A stranger is a friend I haven't met yet." I'm going anyway, and I'll explain myself when I get there.

No they might not want a lot of media hounds and publicity seekers showing up to embarass and humiliate them but I don't see the average man doing that. TV reporters are usually so stupid you can count on them to do anything wrong, but for the most part people are decent and well-behaved and welcome in churches. Even, I might add, atheists.

I am just happy that John Walsh is keeping this in the news. I was astonished that the mainstream press just seemed to ignore or minimize this tragedy.

gerard150,

You obviously don't have much experience with following how the mainstream press reports on anything to do with Islam, do you?

"Islam does not recognise any difference between the kuffar, they are either zhimmi (under the Islamic state) or mu’ahhed (has covenant with a Muslim), or he is harbi and has no sanctity for his life or wealth.

There is no such thing as an ‘innocent’ kafir, innocence is only applicable for the Muslims; do not say ‘innocent’ for the kafir, the most you can say for them is that they are ‘victims’. The Muslim however, is innocent even if he engages to fight and conquer the kafir, because he is fulfilling the shari’ah."

--Al Muhajiroun, (Bakir School), 6-21-2004

Don't even consider that a Muslim would feel guilt or regret at the murder of a kaffir.
Any such statement is taqiya for the purpose of deceiving the infidel.

On the January 26th thread about this very subject, we had a couple of posts from Naseem and a very "concerned" MrP. I responded but am afraid they won't see it because it lurks near the bottom of that thread, so I've copied it here for their viewing pleasure:

Naseem,
The day my daughter brings home a muslim boyfriend , will be the day I'm charged with murder.
There are only a few muslims in my community, and I can assure you after the strict new immigration laws kick in, in the next general election, that number will only shrink.

I will say once more, my hatred of muslims is because of their blind hatred towards everything and everyone in the world that isn't linked to their pathetic cult.
Go and preach to your murderous ilk.

MrP,
You should wise up and see who the real bigots and racists are. Your sermon made me chuckle actually, it reeked of the exact hypocracy you accused us of being flawed with.
For example you talk about how we want the law changed when it suits us..... well no actually, only for people who have zero respect for our laws and culture.
And your argument has a reminscent hypocritical statement, you speak as though we should stay closed mouthed when we are presented with the crimes of muslims (which they obviously are, don't be too idiotic), yet you obviously prefer to stay tight-lipped about the ever present and very loud hatred coming from the mouths of muslims.
Whats wrong Mr.P, in your twisted , unrealistic view of the world is it alright for muslims to be as racist as they like, as long as it's not a white anglo-saxon, celtic or jewish person making the statement.
Sad man.

Very True, the laughable thing being of course is that a large number of the lefts most respected icons are hollywood superstars and loaded news reporters. Champagne socialists if ever there were any.

The very basis of the lefts long standing love affair with palestine is down to the fact that Israel is a prosperous democratic country, and palestine an over-sized litter tray.

I cannot help but stand back and admire you guys in the states.you seem to be taking the right attitude to the challenge of islam the philisophy not a "great religion".We are as a country in uk,much further down the wedge than you we know have the islamic council of uk pushong for sharia law for the muslims of this country, true. We have 10% muslims in the uk legal amd ilegal, they have 4 kids to our 1.6 the maths is easy 25 years there will be sharia in the uk.You will stand alone in the world so my prayers are with you god please bless america

Highlander,
You speaking now to another brit, and I'm getting more optimistic about the UKs attitude towards islam. There is a rapidly growing negativity towards the death cult, and a rapidly deteriorating tolerance for their attitudes and habitual deception; as is there a growing intolerence for the liberal loonies that defend them in the face of sheer overwhelming fact pointing to the malevolance of their religion and their ways.

There is still much to be done, still many who must learn the truth, but I sense a much greater awarness now than there was a year ago.... to me thats a significant change, but still not quite enough.

Spread the word, tell everyone you know, what you know about islam (this sets off a chain reaction, you tell your freinds and relatives, they tell their relatives and friends.... and so on and so forth). Write letters to your council or local MPs highlighting your concerns (try not to use any lingo that could be construed as "racist", you know what the public relations cretins are like) , email the newspapers with articles you find here at JihadWatch or other like-minded sites (remember to send them to papers that "care" about threats to our national security .... IE - Not the Gaurdian, Independant or Daily Mirror , who all seem far more concerned about the human rights of people who have no regard or respect for humanity in the first place, than they do about the safety of normal people who work for a living and just want their life of freedom, peace and civilization to continue).

The main thing to remember is that as time goes by, Islam makes itself look much worse than we ever could, and it gets that much harder for the self-styled , left-wing "defenders of the faith" to say anything in it's defence, or at least anything with a microscopic amount of credibility to it.

Keep your head up.

.You will stand alone in the world so my prayers are with you god please bless america

Your comments sir, are warming thank you.

Without trying to portray the U.S. as a bigot we have been there and done that a time or two.
(remember the ALAMO)

The Freedoms we posess are what some will never know(unforunately), when our forefathers put together a constitution for the United States it was and is rock solid, our leaders are chosen by us the constituant and you can bet your bottom line that people are paying close attention to these elected officials for future referance.

As a very concerned citizen in the U.S. I await the call to arms that is inevitable to squash the thing that would try to take from us our Liberties that our guaranteed, that our guaranteed, that our guaranteed us with 1) The Declaration of Independance 2) The Constitution with the Bill of Rights.

" He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself".

Calvin Coolidge

"It is only the warlike power of a civilized people that can give peace to the world".

Rikki & Highlander & everyone else.

I have just started a little "campaign" of my own.
It costs very little, infact only time.

If you have access to a printer & pc all you have to do is this.

Obtain some Avery labels, print www.jihadwatch.org

on them.

Carry them with you.
Place them on trains, tubes, buses etc
Go to the library, place them in all books about religion.

print labels that highlight cruelty against women such as: www.stopstoningnow.com or www.homa.org
and place these in social studies/politics books in libraries.
When people open these books, especially students they will be curious and visit the link.

If just 1 person visits the site and refers it to another 5, well I am sure we can all work it out.

Regards
AI

Apostate _isalm:

Rikki's right, people are waking up. It takes time and patience, and we are slow but when we do take action, watch out, the Islamoturds won't know what hit them.

Maybe we can kill two birds with one stone and get rid of the loony left yoghurt knitters that enabled this obscenity in the first place.

I think the idea of someone like Robert contacting Walsh in advance of this show is one of the best I've heard in quite a while. Walsh is no idiot, and I'd not be surprised to find him receptive to our message. I don't think he'll easily be cowed by CAIR operatives or whinging from the multi-culti PC crowd.

If anybody knows how to contact him in a way that will get his attention before the show airs (just a bit less than 24 hours from now), please let me know and I'll be happy to draft a letter to him. You can email me at catotheelder@hotmail.com.

Mr. Rikki, good day to you. One thing you didn't mention was when accused of murder you didn't say who would have been killed...the muslim boyfriend or your daughter.

You stand to lose a lot more than your freedom. Let me expand on this!

1) Your daughter's right to freedom to choose who she want's to be with would have been blown away.

2) She may end up hating you for the rest of your life.

3) You may actually like the muslim boy and lose the opportinuity to get to know him.

4) Your opportunity as a social experiment to convert him to christianity /BJP would have been missed.

5) Your opportunity to really understand Islam from up close would have been lost.

Bear in mind that it is illegal to kill muslims in this context you may be unleasing other killings which is certainly not very British of you.

In short Mr. Rikki you don't think straight...you are a loser.

Nathan wrote: An athiest believes in SOMETHING, has a belief on how mankind came to be, so therefore that is his religion.

That doesn’t make any sense to me.

An atheist is someone who disbelieves or denies the existence of God or gods while an agnostic is someone who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God. The origin of mankind really doesn’t expressly play into those categories.

I think it is reasonable to believe there are people who think that it is impossible to discover the origin of human beings. I’m one of them so I know they exist. And although I may be agnostic about how humankind came to be it would impossible for a reasonable person to deny that human beings exist.

Religion is generally understood to mean a belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe. Of course it can also be used in reference to some cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion, but when most people use it they mean the former. A person who does not believe in the existence of God or gods has no belief in supernatural powers to exercise and therefore has no religion as the word is most commonly used. They may pursue some cause or activity to where it is referred to as their religion but that isn’t generally regarded to mean supernatural belief systems.

I personally don’t think we can reliably say whether a God or gods exist or how human beings really came to be. Both are beyond our abilities to discern. It seems arrogant, dangerous, and self-deceitful to assume otherwise.

I think everyone, and particularly people who mind their own business (minding your own business should be everyone’s religion in my book), has a right to express their beliefs and practice them without harassment and on the same plain as everyone else, religious or no, as long as they don’t violate someone else’s rights.

Needless to say, Islam is sacrificing its right to express and practice its beliefs by failing to correct its uncivilized behavior.

f.g.

I was reading the Egyptian newspaper, Al Akhbar, it had mentioned that Armanious family has been living in peace in Luxor, Egypt and never had any problems with any body.

Armanious had two brothers and five sisters; if it was a vendetta, any of his brother would have been a target, so why would the killers fly thousand of miles away to Jersey City.

In addition, females were never included in vendettas; males are the only targets.

If it was a vendetta, the family will not be mourning the death of their member until they avenge his death; the above Egyptian newspaper had mentioned that neighbors and friends had gone to visit the family in Luxor.

Apostate_islam:Great idea, how about bumper stickers with jihadwatch.org on it.

Naseem: Dont you think it would be far more useful for you to preach on peace and tolerance where it is required most - among the muslim community and to the clerics who call for the jihad, and the slaying of Jews and infidels using the koran as their text.
