BAGHDAD (AP) - Al-Qaida's arm in Iraq released a video Saturday showing its guerrillas lining up five captured Iraqi security officers and executing them in the street, one of a string of recent attacks claimed by the group led by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.A statement posted on an Islamist website along with the video denounced the five men as "American dogs," and the group warned other Iraqis they would meet the same fate if they join the security forces loyal to the government of Prime Minister Ayad Allawi, seen as collaborators with the U.S. military.
In the video, one of the prisoners identified himself as Lieut. Bashar Latif Jassim and said his mission was to "prevent terrorists from entering Iraq."
When asked by one his captors - who did not appear on camera - who the terrorists are, Jassim said: "Those who sabotage the country."
The five prisoners - apparently captured in the insurgent hotbed of Ramadi, west of Baghdad - were shown sitting on the ground with five masked gunmen behind them, one reading a statement. A banner carrying the name of al-Zarqawi's group, al-Qaida in Iraq, hung in the background.
"Here is another bunch of apostates in the land of Iraq, another group of the doomed soldiers who came to the blessed jihad land of Ramadi to support the apostate Allawi government and help the unjust American enemy," said the man reading the statement.
"As usual, jihadists have no mercy when it comes to such infidel souls," he said.
The video then showed the five men lined up, their hands bound behind their back, and shot in a street in broad daylight. The guerrillas repeatedly shot the men even after they fell to the ground.

So, will CAIR and other whiny, blame-America-and-the-West Muslim groups sue him for this statement? Will they call it hate speech? (towards Muslims of course, not non-Muslims)
Lieut. Bashar Latif Jassim is a brave one to gave those answers to his jihad terrorist captors.
However I am kind of getting sick of all these incompetent Iraqi security officers who seem to always get themselves either bombed or captured and executed. They need to get better at their job. I guess it will take some time but it better be soon.

Is the media giving this incident the same scrutiny given to the marine who shot a terrorist ? Hmmm, thought not.
Their faith in Allah is so great and strong, they wear masks to hide from the inferior infidels. They know Allah can not protect them, so they hide like all the great Moslems warriors have before them. You know those brave fighters for Allah that hide among women and children or in a Mosque, the ones that are brave enough to shoot you in the back, or blow a car up, the ones brave enough to kill unarmed civilians.
What do they call them “holy warriors”. but they look more like stupid hate mongers more then anything that even comes close to holy, unless you worship Beelzebub, then maybe it looks Holy.
How is Allah going to know who to send to paradise when he cant even see their faces?

I have to agree with Informed Christian, and disagree with Hawkwind-
it is getting tediously inane that the 'security forces' in Iraq seem to be as passively fatalistic as the lunatics blowing themselves up at checklpoints daily.
Admittedly, getting killed by a carbomb is one thing (a little hard to outrun exploding semtex and vaporizing toyota shrapnel), but the ease with which the jihadis seem to be able to overrun police stations and army recruit convoys shows that somewhere in the chain of command someone is not giving the proper weapons out.
Why are these security members never shooting back? Or throwing stun grenades? Or firing tear gas bombs? Or at least knowing how to get to some cover and begin returning fire?
Maybe they are all basically such life-disdaining nihilists -through their otherworldly religion- that earthly death doesn't galvanize them to fight back seriously.
Something is rotten at the core of this equation.
