Rewrite a nation's history and you can control its future. From Israel National News, with thanks to Kemaste:
(IsraelNN.com) An Egyptian newspaper, Al-Ahram Al-Messa'i, commented today on what it called Israel's "investment" in "the so-called holocaust" and the United Nations session commemorating the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. The newspaper complained that, in hosting the memorial session, "the UN adopted the Israeli standpoint, paying no heed to the sufferings of the Palestinians under the Israeli occupation."

Muslim Council of Britain wants Britain to commemorate the "holocaust" of the Palestinian intifada

The Muslim Council of Britain has a point but it the other end of their stick. The Palestinian "holocaust" is one of Palestinains attacking Jews. It would appear that the Nazi holocaust of WWII in which the Muslims participated has not yet come to a close but has in deed been resurected by Arafat's Intafada.
The Islamic community will of course cry foul but will have to re-write British-European-Egyptian-North African and Middle East history to refute my allegation. A big job even for that small mind from Medina in 600AD.
The newspaper complained that, in hosting the memorial session, "the UN adopted the Israeli standpoint, paying no heed to the sufferings of the Palestinians under the Israeli occupation."
What’s the link between the so-called suffering of Palestinians and the attempted genocide of the Jews?
Another note on the Palestinians. I don’t see the dispossessed Germans from East Prussia, The Czech republic, nor from what is now western Poland complaining and agitating for their land back. I don’t see the dispossessed Hindus and Sikhs from what is now Pakistan complaining and agitating for their land back. The Palestinians lost their land and didn’t integrate into other Arab lands when they had the chance. They continued to agitate and make war against Israel. They lost every time. Now all they seem to do is piss and moan. Well, I for one am tired of it. Stop killing Israelis and they will stop killing you. It is a loosing game for the Palestinians. Give it up and move on with your lives if you want a future.
If you don’t want a future for your children and grandchildren, then continue to do what you are now doing.
Sheik Canuk - you need a little history lesson.
The Palestinians had no land to lose because they didn't exist. The land originally settled by those Jews who returned after WWII was desolate and that which wasn't was usually purchased by them. The few residents at the time were Jordanian, Arab and/or Egyptians. When the Arab League attacke in 1948 it was Jordanian, Egyptian, Syrian and Arab armies that were thrown back. There had never been a "State" of Palestine and therefore no such race of people who can claim to be Palestinans. That was an invention of Arafat (who incidently was an Egyptian) to give legitamacy to his violent actions against the state of Israel (one of the oldest states on the planet - please note I did not say the oldest!)
It is my never-so-be-it humble opinion that the only state with any claim to the west bank is Jordan. A claim that they abrogated in 1967 or there abouts.

I am aware of all that you said, I was merely cutting the Palestinians some slack.... and comparing their situation to real world examples... something that seems to escape them totally.
Muslims and Holocaust?
Muslims in the Balkans and from the Middle East were part of the Holocaust, they rounded up thousands of Jews and handed them over to the Nazis.
They terrorised Christians and burned down homes and churches.
The Islamic 13th Waffen SS division were responsible for some of the worst abuses of the war.
That is something which is glossed over by the history books.
None were ever brought to tribunal. they were led unsurprisingly by Yassar Arafat's uncle the Grand Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini.
