I still say that the Islamist Jihadists would do well to stay off the American streets if they give a care about Islam, its culture, and its people. ISRAEL PLANNING 'ETHNIC' BOMB AS SADDAM CAVES IN

ISRAEL is working on a biological weapon that would harm Arabs but not Jews, according to Israeli military and western intelligence sources. The weapon, targeting victims by ethnic
origin, is seen as Israel's response to Iraq's threat of chemical and biological attacks.

In developing their "ethno-bomb", Israeli scientists are trying to exploit medical advances by identifying distinctive genes carried by some Arabs, then create a genetically modified
bacterium or virus.

The intention is to use the ability of viruses and certain bacteria to alter the DNA inside their host's living cells. The scientists are trying to engineer deadly micro-organisms that attack only those bearing the distinctive genes.

The programme is based at the biological institute in Nes Tziyona, the main research facility for Israel's clandestine arsenal of chemical and biological weapons.

A scientist there said the task was hugely complicated because both Arabs and Jews are of semitic origin. But he added: "They have, however, succeeded in pinpointing a particular characteristic in the genetic profile of certain Arab communities, particularly the Iraqi people." The disease could be spread by spraying the organisms into the air or putting
them in water supplies.

The research mirrors biological studies conducted by South African scientists during the apartheid era and revealed in testimony before the truth and reconciliation commission.

The idea of a Jewish state conducting such research has already provoked outrage in some quarters because of parallels with the
genetic experiments of Dr Josef Mengele, the Nazi scientist at Auschwitz.

Dedi Zucker, a member of knesset, the Israeli parliament, denounced the research yesterday. "Morally, based on our history, and our tradition and our experience, such a weapon
is monstrous and should be denied," he said.

Some experts said that although the concept of an ethnically targeted weapon was feasible, the practical aspects of creating one were enormous.

Dr Daan Goosen, head of a South African chemical and biological warfare plant, said his team was ordered in the 1980s to develop a "pigmentation weapon" to target only black people. He said the team discussed spreading a disease in beer, maize or even vaccinations but never managed to

However, a confidential Pentagon report warned last year that biological agents could be genetically engineered to produce new lethal weapons. William Cohen, the American
defence secretary, revealed that he had received reports of countries working to create "certain types of pathogens that would be ethnic-specific". A senior western intelligence source confirmed last week that Israel was one of the countries Cohen had in mind.

The "ethno-bomb" claims have been given further credence in Foreign Report, a Jane's publication that closely monitors security and defence matters. It reports unnamed South African sources as saying Israeli scientists have used some of
the South African research in trying to develop an "ethnic bullet" against Arabs.

It also says Israelis discovered aspects of the Arab genetic make-up by researching on "Jews of Arab origin, especially Iraqis".

The British Medical Association has become so concerned about the lethal potential of genetically based biological weapons that it has opened an investigation, which is due to report in January.

Dr Vivienne Nathanson, who organised the research, said: "With an ethnically targeted weapon, you could even hit groups within a population. The history of warfare, in which many conflicts have an ethnic factor, shows us how dangerous this could be."

Porton Down, Britain's biological defence establishment, said last week that such weapons were theoretically possible. "We have reached a point now where there is an obvious need for
an international convention to control biological weapons," said a spokesman.

The town where I live the police do not have the cash to be able to own and feed dogs,so luckily for me I have come to a good agreement with the police.they are training my rottwiellers on the condition that they can use them if there is any police work to be done,such as crowd/riot control.
Most of the police here are muslim,and they also have a great dislike for Fanatics/fundamentalists
so some times I and the dogs able to go with them on night patrols,so i do get a chance to see quite a lot of what is going on here.

All they seem to do now is make threats. They never made a threat before 9/11, it just happened as if out of nowhere.

Which is why I think the muslims are losing this jihad.
If they where going to bomb the US (when it's already on it's highest security alert) then they'd do it (if they could)... just as they did on 9/11.
The fact that instead they are making threats prooves these nothings are a pathetic shell of their former selves, and that is because of 9/11.

9/11 fucked them up, it hurt us but it will destroy them. It put the US and Europe (well the UK anyway) on the high alert it's on now, and now very few terrorist plots are managing to get through the net, those that are , are being foiled left, right and centre.... and it must be frustrating the shit out of them. This is most likely blather. I while back I heard a pretty quickly buried news story that terrorist states were asking independent Muslim groups not to do anything to the U.S., for fear that the U.S. would come back at the easily identifiable and visible enemy.

Smart people. They saw what we did to Afghan. and Iraq, and know we'll do it to them, too, as well as continuing to find, kill, arrest and destory the the less visible groups.

Such action by Muslims would set off a fury like they've never seen or imagined. Part of the reason it hasn't happened so far is because Bush has the fortitude to do what's needed. In a regrettable sense I almost wish they'd try something so that our people would be awakened from our cultural coma. When the "median" voter awakens, as someone wrote above, then the whole freedom loving world will join us.

If they do attack our land again, I fear it may be the beginning of WW IV.

If we use nukes on the terrorist states, much of the world may well turn against us, or there may be a new alignment of world powers, those with us and those against us.

But it would surely end the Muslim problem, which we will not survive if all freedom loving nations don't close their borders and declare war on all but the most secular possible versions of Islam. That would ideally include secular Muslim states such as Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Indonesia seeing the light and joining in our cause.

Islamic Army in Iraq threatens attacks in US

DUBAI - The Islamic Army in Iraq, one of the main armed groups fighting US forces in the war-torn country, has threatened to carry out attacks inside the United States, according to a statement posted on a website Monday.
This year "will bring woes on America. The mujahedeen (holy warriors) have prepared big surprises for your sons outside America and a big surprise for you inside America," said the statement whose authenticity could not be confirmed....

The mujahedeen "will take the battle from inside our country (Iraq) to yours," the statement said.

"We address you after you finished celebrating the new year, hoping that you are no longer drunk ... We will give American civilians a taste of what civilians in our country go through," said the statement, presented as a "message to the American people."

The message, which described the American people as "uncivilized" and "ignorant," claimed that "the whole world" hates America.

"Are you aware that the number of those who support striking America on its own turf has greatly increased?" it said.

"Last year was a picnic for your soldiers (in Iraq). The year 2005 will witness a quantitative and qualitative change in the operations against your army, which will go down in history," the statement said.

Yes, islam... the entire world is waking up to you and your so called "Zakat". These funds called "Zakat" must really go to your mullahs who preach hatred for all non-muslims. Except now, it's plain to see that even those who faithfully pay the "Zakat" are really paying mullah's in big robes and turbans. And as your mullahs pocket the Zakat of millions of faithful muslims wanting to help those (muslims only?) in need, I hope that someday your mullahs will be called to account for their utterly dispicable acts.

What about the faithful in Indonesia that paid their "zakat"????? Where is the reciprocity? as they wait patiently, hungry, without clothing, greiving.... for you mullah's to bring 'allah's aid' they are dying! Because, you won't come. You are a profit center for the spread of your own criminal profits through brainwashing the jihad.

Will you only give aid if the surviving muslims do "jihad" on the rest of the survivors in the region? What are you waiting for?

The way I see the oil rich middle eastern countries going on the cheap is because the bastards know that the western nations will come charging to the rescue, pouring in billions and billions and that's money they won't have to spend.Hell they must be laughing themselves silly watching the west falling all over each other upping the contributions.

I've been doubtful of the "when they see how generous the West is, they'll like us" idea that's been floating around for the past week. I first heard it on the radio last week, on one of our talk-back shows. The lady said something to the effect that this is a chance for us to "redeem ourselves" in the Muslim world because of how badly we've treated them in the past. I almost spit my coffee when I heard that. Typical, lie-down and walk all over me, abuse me, mindset of the dhimmis amongst us - whether they're lefties, centrists, or righties. How many Balis, Madrids, 9/11s will it take for them to stop feeling that we need to "redeem ourselves"????

If some Muslims do feel warm and fuzzy about the West's generosity, I'm sure there will be a mullah or fellow Muslim or two to set them straight eventually. I wonder what they're saying in their mosques? "Oh Allah Most Merciful, Bless the Infidel!" Bah! I doubt it.

The Saudis might not be sending a lot of aid right now, but I'm sure they'll gladly pour billions into repairing or building new mosques and madrassahs, and sending blood-lust mullahs to preach and teach in them.

Not to pile on, but "learnt" is certainly in my Webster's. However, it's an acceptable past tense form of "learn", not of "learned", which is already [an alternate form of the] past tense.

I've found that Brits and Aussies commonly use these "t" past tense forms, although they've fallen out of use in American English, but are still perfectly correct.
