Days after former Mossad chief Ephraim Halevy expressed fears that Syria, Egypt and Saudi Arabia might have acquired some kind of nuclear capability via an illicit weapons trafficking network run by Abdul Qadeer Khan, the chief architect of Pakistan's nuclear bomb, Israeli military sources have told The Jerusalem Post that, thanks to Khan, one of those three Arab states now has the potential to achieve a "significant nuclear leap."The sources said that Israel is aware of Khan's contacts with all three countries, but that he had provided to one of them expertise and material to manufacture nuclear bombs. They would not specify which country.
The sources also spoke of an assessment in the IDF that Arab terrorist organizations are stepping up their efforts to obtain weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear bombs.
They noted that there is now evidence of increased debate as to whether Islamic law could allow for the deaths of Muslims as part of the price when tens of millions of heathens are killed – a debate whose very nature, the sources said, implies that thought is being given to the notion of using weapons of mass destruction.
We invaded Iraq on a minimum of evidence that they may nhave WOMD.
If pre-emptive strikes are the new way of dealing with jihadist/terrorist havens, then lets stick to it and bomb the crap out of Wahabbi land. We know Saudi Arabia has more than a coincidental link to 9/11, and now there are suspicions of them having nukes..... as good a reason as any to start sending missile in their direction.
Come on Blair and Bush, lets shatter this illusion of Saudi Arabia being an "ally" (with allies like them who needs an arch nemesis???), this imaginary "friendship" is going to cost us if we don't start getting realistic and realising that the Sauds are no more our Allies than Megatron was Optimus Prime's best buddy.
Having any islamic cockroach nest as an "ally" is dangerous, but Saudi Arabia???? God if there was one more bit of evidence that connected that country to Al Qaeda, there wouldn't be enough clashing elements to do a "spot the difference" competition between the two.

Bush and Blair are Oil Whores: they will do anything to keep the flow going! Also there is a trail of corruption and bribes which may be traced back to them. Is possible though that 'Militants' [Al Quaeda] in the 'Kingdom' will topple rotten House of Saud despite denials by 'our friend and ally' that Al Quaeda Cells have been destroyed... By the way, at least one Arab Newspaper is talking about possibility of U.S
being defeated in Iraq.
I’m sorry but there are no leaders in either party (here in the US) who will stand up and say: we will not sell our souls for oil. Let’s see someone with some moral stature tell the American people that if we must tighten our belts, so be it – we can’t prostitute ourselves for Saudi oil. As the center of the Islamist empire, they are the focus of evil. They are our enemies. We need new leadership.
There are so many alternatives to oil as a fuel source also. Instead of phasing it out, the politicians just leave things as they are. If anything should affect the world oil supply there will be global chaos so the US continues to back-up rogue states like Saudi Arabia instead of diversifying their fuel sources, which would make the world much more resilient to sudden supply shortages of oil. In addition to the enormous environmental problems caused by oil it's fuelling muslim fundamentalists around the world. Bush and the rest of the western leaders who continue their respective nations dependency on oil, while enrichening the likes of Saudi Arabia, are the worst form of criminal scum.
Could THIS be the surprise that the Iraq extremist networks have been taunting Americans about recently?
The timing of this (dreadful) story gives the possibility extra weight.
